Finding Nemo: The Big Blue And Beyond
Re-imagined showLocation: Animal Kingdom
In September, Disney announced that Finding Nemo: The Musical at Animal Kingdom would be returning sometime in 2022, but in a reimagined way with new storylines and the return of songs from the original show, including In the Big Blue World and Go with the Flow.
Well, we learned that the updated show is called Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond and will be set in the timeline of the movie Finding Dory.
The audience will find themselves at the Marine Life Institute and theyll catch up with the fish from Dr. P. Shermans office in Finding Nemo, who have made their way across the ocean to California.
Will Tron Lightcycle Power Run Have Genie+
At this point, you are likely aware that the old FastPass+ system has been discontinued, and the new Disney Genie has taken its place. With the introduction of Disney Genie come two pay-to-ride services which let you skip the line for whatever attraction you have a reservation.
Disney has not yet commented on whether TRON Lightcycle Run will have Disney Genie+ or be an individual Lightning Lane purchase. However, just like every other major Disney World attraction, we are positive that the TRON coaster will have one of the two pay-to-ride systems and the demand will be incredibly high for it.
Which one is it more likely to use? Since TRON Lightcycle Run will instantly become the most popular attraction in the Magic Kingdom when it opens, we are confident it will be an individual Lightning Lane attraction. This would follow in the footsteps of other new E-Ticket attractions with a one-time pay-to-ride system.
TRON Lightcycle Run should be your #1 priority at the Magic Kingdom when it opens, and it should easily surpass Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the longest wait times in the park. Unless you rope drop it, you will probably save some serious time getting a reservation for it.
Its also possible that the TRON coaster will use the Virtual Queue system as it has for other new rides, and we expect both options on the table when it opens.
Well keep you updated as soon as we hear more.
New Disney Report May Mean Tron Coaster Wont Open Until 2023
Posted by: Jamie Sylvester December 30, 2021
D23 has released a list of Every Disney Moment Were Looking Forward to in 2022. While the list is full of exciting experiences, its quickly noticeable the mention of Disney Worlds TRON Lightcycle Run is missing from the lineup.
In the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products portion of the D23 article, several upcoming 2022 experiences are noted. First up, D23 talks about the new, Hey, Disney, the voice assistant utilizing Alexa technology for supported Amazon Echo devices. D23 reports, Hey, Disney brings Disney characters and stories to life in magical new ways to make Guest stays at Disney Resort hotels even more convenient, engaging and enjoyable.
Hey, Disney isnt the only new piece of technology to expect in 2022. Guests at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will be able to use the next-generation MagicBand+. This wearable technology will be the first MagicBand offering at Disneyland Resort.
As previously announced, on March 1, 2022, the first voyage of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will depart. Guests will board the Halcyon starcruiser for a two-night adventure where they see, feel, and live their own Star Wars story. Galactic Starcruiser has recently fallen into some negative reports among Disney fans so were keeping our fingers crossed the experience is as impressive as Disney makes it sound.
Do you think Magic Kingdoms TRON Lightcycle Run will open in 2022 or 2023? Let us know in the comments.
Snow Whites Enchanted Wish
When Disney announced the return of the Happiest Place on Earth, the world felt like it returned to normal after an apocalyptic year.
Even better, Disney is offering its fans a bonus. When Disneyland reopens on April 30th, itll come with a pleasant surprise!
Imagineers have quietly worked behind the scenes to prepare Snow Whites Enchanted Wish to open with the park.
Sure enough, on April 30th, the new version of the former Snow Whites Scary Adventures will debut to the public.
According to recent Disney posts, the updated Happily Ever After theming will fundamentally alter the Snow White ride.
I fully expect guests to flock to this one the moment the park reopens.
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade
New entertainmentLocation: Magic Kingdom
A brand-new cavalcade called Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will debut at Magic Kingdom later this winter.
The cavalcade will feature the most characters of any cavalcade to date, like Nick and Judy from Zootopia, Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book, José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros, Miguel from Coco, plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more!

Beauty And The Beast Sing
New attractionLocation: Epcot
Capitalizing on the success of the For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration in Epcot, this new Beauty and the Beast-themed sing-along is housed in the same theater where Impressions de France is shown.
But dont worry you can still catch Impressions de France youll just need to check your My Disney Experience app for showtimes.
This new show was created by the same person that produced both the animated and live-action versions of Beauty and the Beast.
Truth be told, we dont love it. Without the live actors , it falls flat.
It is a nice place to rest your feet, but we wouldnt really suggest making it a priority unless you just really, really love Beauty and the Beast.
Princess And The Frog Attraction
Splash Mountain is closing to welcome a new Princess and the Frog attraction. It will remain a log flume ride just like Splash Mountain, but will now take place in the Louisiana Bayou. The ride will feature Tiana and Louis as they take you on a fun musical journey of what happens just after the big kiss in the film. There is no set opening date for this ride yet, but prospective dates show 2022. Any attraction name ideas?

Disney World Video Gives New Look At Tron Lightcycle Ride Construction
A new video shared on Twitter shows the ongoing construction of Disney World’s Tron Lightcycle Run, a rollercoaster based on the Tron franchise.
A new video shows the ongoing construction of Disney World’s TronLightcycle Run, a new rollercoaster. The rollercoaster is based on the Tron film franchise, consisting of 1982’s Tron and 2010’s Tron: Legacy. Both films star Jeff Bridges and revolve around his character, Kevin Flynn, being pulled into the digital world of video games where he is forced to participate in gladiatorial-style games, one of which features the distinctive Tron lightcycles. The neon-accented lightcycles are used in what equates to a multiplayer version of Snake, as the cycles leave trails of light behind them, with opponents losing if they strike the other’s trailing light.
Disney World has begun constructing the Tron Lightcycle Run, which will let riders strap into a lightcycle, allowing them to race through the digital frontier. The Tron rollercoaster is a new addition to Tomorrowland in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, which is a perfect fit for Tron‘s futuristic aesthetics. In a new video shared to Twitter by WDW Youtuber, the Tron Lightcycle Run is seen under construction, featuring unique curved designs that will help bring the world of the films to life. Check out WDW Youtuber‘s video below:
Tron Lightcycle Power Run
Instead, Im expecting Tron Lightcycle Power Run to open during the first half of 2022.
This staple at Shanghai Disneyland will function as the centerpiece of Tomorrowland for the next generation.
Management understandably wants to get the project right for that reason.
Before the pandemic, Disney officials expected the Tron coaster to anchor the 50th anniversary party. Its the ride that was supposed to sell tickets.
Now that Disney is returning to normal, construction has ramped up in Tomorrowland.
Several social media posts have shown that the exterior canopy is virtually complete. Insider reports suggest that interior work is nowhere near as advanced.
As such, Disney removed all mentions of the Tron ride in its 2021 literature. I suspect that tells the tale.
Still, I believe that were only a year or so away from this coasters grand opening.
As you can see, theres plenty of reasons to look forward to Disney visits over the next two years!

When Will The Tron Roller Coaster At Magic Kingdom Open
Update: The latest rumor is that TRON might be delayed until 2023. You can read the basis for the rumor here, and well say it makes sense, so lets call it a 50/50 shot between late 2022 and early 2023.
We now expect the new TRON coaster at Magic Kingdom to open in late 2022, during Walt Disney Worlds 50th Anniversary Celebrations, which extend from October 2021 through March 2023. With the new Remy Ratatouille ride at Epcot now open in Epcot, 2021 saw only one new ride.
While we had hoped for a July 9, 2022 debutcoinciding with the 40th anniversary of the release of the original TRON filmthat would appear to be out of the picture now that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is confirmed for summer 2022.
This leaves October 1, 2022, the 1-year anniversary of the 50th Anniversary celebrations as the most likely date.
Of course thats all speculation, but its literally all we have to go on right now. Disney is being silent on the issue, likely because they know a new coaster at Magic Kingdom is hugely valuable, and they want to time the debut just right.

Although Disney has been fairly silent regarding their plans for TRONs opening, in January 2021, USA Today claimedthat TRON is unlikely to open on time. Disney officially confirmed several projects to open in 2021 and TRON Lightcycle Run was NOT included in their announcements.
TRON Lightcycle Sign
Disney has not yet confirmed whether TRON will be opening in 2021 or delayed until 2022. It doesnt mean it WONT open, it just means that they havent officially released that date yet. But again, as we mentioned, the clock is ticking to hit that goal of the 50th Anniversary.

Th Anniversary Celebration All Year Long
Disney Worlds 50th-anniversary celebration kicked off on October 1, 2021, and will last for a whopping 18 months. That means Disney will be celebrating for ALL of 2022!
Youll get to take in all the magic of the anniversary on your 2022 trip!
When Is The Tron Roller Coaster Opening
The question on everyones mind is: When will Tron Lightcycle Power Run open in Disney World?
Right now, Disney hasnt shared much specific information yet on when the opening date will be. In fact, we are still too far out from the completion of the ride, and too many things can happen between now and then to know for sure.
We do know that the Tron roller coaster was originally supposed to be ready in time for Walt Disney Worlds 50th Anniversary in 2021, but Disney never announced an exact date. The official date for the 50th anniversary is October 1st, 2021, so the plan was to have it ready by then.
Disney takes its time to announce opening dates for its rides because problems and setbacks can come up. For example, we still dont have opening dates for many of the new rides coming to Disney World in 2022, let alone 2023 or beyond.
Even the opening for the Rise of the Resistance ride was only announced a few months before the actual opening, the same with Remys Ratatouille Adventure.
Things got more complicated in 2020 with the parks shutting down for months and construction completely stopped on all projects. While construction on TRON Lightcycle Run did restart with the Disney World reopening, Disney cut the budget on all projects, slowing things down considerably.
Everything depends on these construction delays and budget cuts. The ride was already behind schedule before the park closure, and now with the project getting put on hold, that means even more time.

Disney Confirms 2021 Opening Target
Though there are over a dozen new attractions set to open in the next year at Walt Disney World, it looks like guests who are excited for TRON Lightcycle / Run have a long wait ahead of them, as Disney has confirmed that this attraction will be open in 2021 “in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World”.
So while it could open a little earlier, it seems like we’re looking at a tentative fall 2021 opening date , which seems sensible for such a massive project. Though all of the track has been installed, Disney still needs to build the massive structure that surrounds this ride and then of course install all of the show elements.
Outside the ride changes will need to be made as well, as a new elevated pathway connected to walkways in this part of Tomorrowland that lead into and under the attraction is being constructed to help with guest flow in and out of this area. In addition, an enclosed tunnel for the Walt Disney World railroad is also being constructed alongside this new attraction as well.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Resort
New resortLocation: near Hollywood Studios
While other projects have had completion dates quietly removed, Disney is full steam ahead with a 2022 opening for the brand new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser resort.
Billed as a living adventure and totally unlike anything else on Disney property, this new resort will be 100% immersive and connect guests to the Star Wars universe in never before seen ways.
Stays at the Galactic Starcruise resort will last 2 days and include plenty of opportunities to interact and participate with stories and characters on their adventure.

Guardians Of The Galaxy To Open In 2022 At Disney World
As part of its “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” press event yesterday afternoon, the Walt Disney World Resort allowed invited reporters into the building for the under-construction Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster in Epcot’s World Discovery land. Imagineers also showed scenes from inside the ride during an online press conference this morning.
The former Universe of Energy pavilion provides just the entrance to the sprawling show building behind it – the home to Epcot’s first “other-world” showcase pavilion, in Disney’s description.
If you’ve ever seen an indoor coaster such as Space Mountain or Revenge of the Mummy with the lights on, you’ve got an idea of what it looks like inside the Guardians coaster building. Just expand what you’ve seen to galactic scale. This is going to be a big one.
The building includes not just coaster track, but also projection domes and practical props, including an alien world. Here is the announcement from this morning’s video press event, including some looks at the new lighting effects on Spaceship Earth, which are featured in the new Beacon of Magic moment on Epcot’s icon.
And here is the latest description of the attraction, from Disney’s 50th anniversary event press release.
Opening during the back half of WDWs 18-month long 50th Celebration. BRAVO! Now lets get TRON open during the 50th as well. Hopefully we can read about this announcement in Roberts report tomorrow. Go get em Robert!
Tron Lightcycle Run Opening Date
Now lets turn to the opening date of Magic Kingdoms upcoming thrill ride. Walt Disney World has dropped the line that TRON Lightcycle Run is set to open at Magic Kingdom Park in time for Walt Disney Worlds 50th anniversary in 2021.
This is not surprising, as that was the plan prior to the multi-month closure of Walt Disney World, during which all construction stopped. Even after the parks reopened, work was slow to resume inside Magic Kingdom on TRON Lightcycle Run.
Late last year, there was a credible rumor that TRON Lightcycle Run construction would pause until at least the next fiscal year. While it did slow down considerably, work never stopped entirelyand has since gained momentum.
In our view, the best case scenario is that TRON Lightcycle Run debuts for a second push of Walt Disney Worlds 50th Anniversary. Its still too early for Walt Disney World to announce an official opening date.
Weve speculated repeatedly that Walt Disney World would deliberately stagger its new attraction debuts over the course of 2022 and 2023 as a way to incentivize new and repeat trips. Our thinking was that the debuts of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot and TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom would be sufficiently spaced to give new bookings a shot in the arm.
Walt Disney World recently announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens in Summer 2022. So where does that leave TRON Lightcycle Runs opening date?
