What Time Can You Make Dining Reservations At Disney World

Enter Any Special Dietary Needs

How to Make Walt Disney World Dining Reservations

As you continue to move through the pages, you will see an option to record any food allergies and dietary restrictions you may have within your dining party. Disney is an absolutely amazing place to eat when you have food allergies!

Since I must eat gluten free, I always add that into all of my reservations. In the ideal world, this will notify the restaurant in advance that they will need to discuss this with me once we arrive and our reservation ticket should be stamped with an allergy notification.

A Couple Of Days Beforehand Check Again

Disney World has recently adopted a new cancellation policy that requires a credit card to secure any Table Service reservation. If you dont cancel by the day before your scheduled reservation, youll automatically be charged $10/person.

The good thing about this policy is that it keeps people from stockpiling reservations that they arent going to use, and it means that openings come up the day or two beforehand that people can snag for their trip.

Use this to your advantage and try checking again, even up until the day before, to see if you can get what you want.

Three Bridges Bar And Grill

Create your own Sangria. Need I go any further? Three Bridges Bar and Grillat Disneys Coronado Springs Resort is the home of Sangria University where an actual sangria sommelier will educate you on sangria. Guys, you can get a SANGRIA DIPLOMA. Okay, we may be a little too excited, but what an incredibly unique experience, and one of the big reasons Three Bridges makes our favorites list.

A Pretty Drink with a Pretty View

The bar has a bright, tropical feel with some comfy seating options, and the eats here are pretty darned delicious. The shareables, like the house-made guacamole and the roasted corn dip, are crowd pleasers and the entrees like the poke bowls and the steak frites pack a flavorful punch .

Disney Dining Walk Ups

If you dont have a reservation for a specific restaurant, you can always try your luck by walking up and requesting a table. While this isnt guaranteed, sometimes you can get lucky and snag a table without a reservation. This is especially true if you eat during non-peak times such as mid-day or later in the evening.

Sign Up For Cancellation Notifications

There are a couple of different websites that offer free and paid cancellation notifications for Walt Disney World Dining Reservations. All of these services work the same way: you set up a date/time range for the restaurant of your choice and their automated system searches the Disney World website for any cancelled reservations. If a cancelled reservation appears, you will get a text message with a direct link to reserve your spot and an email with the same instructions.

  • Mouse Watcher
  • This is a paid service and each active search starts at $5 . Subscriptions start at $19/month if you need multiple restaurants.
  • BEST OPTION! We had the best luck with this paid service. Perfect for the most difficult to get reservations.
  • The main difference between these options is how often the websites search because the more often they search, the easier time you will have finding a cancellation. I have personally used all three of these websites and have had the most luck with the Touring Plans and Mouse Watcher reservation finder. Touring Plans was able to get me more cancelled reservations in advance but Mouse Watcher was able to find me reservations within a week of our trip for highly sought after restaurants. I had notifications set up on all three websites for the same restaurants and sometimes I would find one would send me a notification while others didn’t.

The Most Surefire Way To Snag Hard

Reservations for all the restaurants at Disney World currently open up exactly 60 days in advance.

Note: This used to be 180 days, but the current process is 60.

    That means:

The most foolproof, surefire way of getting any reservation is to book 60 days before your trip begins.

If this is your first trip to Disney World, you may think that sounds crazy. How are you supposed to know where you want to eat 2 months from now?!

That is why we recommend you decide on your daily planbefore you start picking where you want to eat.

Lots of people want to skip that step and go right to choosing their dining options, but you do not want to do that, and heres why:

Disney World is HUGE, so unless you want to spend a large chunk of your vacation on Disney transportation , youll want to choose to dine in places close to where youll be that day.

So make a daily plan first, then select your dining options so you can be ready right at 60 days out to make your Advanced Dining Reservations.

But even if you try to book right at 60 days out, some tricks can improve your chances of getting everything you want:

Disney Hotel Restaurants That Accept Dining Reservations

There are some great restaurants in the hotels. One of our favorites for a nice, relaxing dinner is Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. There is also Storytellers CafĂ© for a more budget-friendly family meal. Two hotels offer character breakfasts/brunches, as well as a character dinner at Goofys Kitchen. The newest character dining to join the lineup is the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures Experience. This brunch brings princesses to Napa Rose Thursday through Monday from 8 a.m until 11 a.m.

Disney Advance Dining Reservations & Cancellations

How to Make Advanced Dining Reservations for Walt Disney World: Tips and Tricks

When you make a reservation at a Disney full-service restaurant through the Advance Dining Reservation system, youll have to give a credit card to complete your reservation. Although a small number of dining reservations require full payment up front , for most restaurants Disney only uses your credit card if they need to charge you for a cancellation fee.

The cancellation policy may differ for each restaurant. When you book a reservation, Disney will show you the cancellation policy for that restaurant. Generally speaking, if you cancel after the designated cancellation period, or if youre a no-show, Disney will charge you. For most restaurants the cancellation fee at this time is $10 per person.

It can be different for the dinner shows, special event meals, and some character meals which require full payment up front. If youre a no-show or you dont cancel within the designated window, you could lose all of your money.

The cancellation window is normally 24 hours from your reservation. However weve seen that calling by 11:50 pm the night before has worked.

You can cancel on-line by going to My Reservations & Tickets under the My Disney Experience tab, or using your My Disney Experience app, or by calling. You can call and cancel from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Call WDW-DINE or 939-3463.

Reservations for special dining events and things like dessert parties open up at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Note: make sure you have your credit card handy. All reservations now require a credit card guarantee, so youll need to enter the number when you make your reservation.

How Can I Make An Advanced Dining Reservation

You can use the My Disney Experience app or to make ADRs. You can also call 407-WDW-DINE to call the phone line to speak to a Cast Member and make a reservation. We recommend using the app or website to be able to make your reservation as early as possible for your highest priority restaurants.

Put Your Reservations In Order Of Difficulty Not Chronological Order

If you book your reservations chronologically, you may miss out on some of the difficult ones. Put them in order of difficulty so you can try to snag reservations for the hardest ones first.

These restaurants are historically some of the most difficult to get. Make these reservations first:

Note: not all of the restaurants below are currently open. Until they are, the general rule of thumb is that character meals should be booked first.

    • Be Our Guest dinner
    • Victoria & Alberts
    • Cinderellas Royal Table
    • California Grill
    • Akershus
    • Story Book Dining at Artist Point

    • If youre in the USA on Eastern time, you can start on Disneys website at 7 am.
    • If youre on the west coast, you can start at 4 am. Yes, thats the middle of the night, but thats how Disney has it set up.

Can I Get Into A Theme Park If I Have A Dining Reservation There

Reservations will be required to dine at theme park restaurants during the reopening phase. But having an Advanced Dining Reservation doesnt give you automatic entry into the theme parks.

To get into the theme parks you need a Park Reservation AND Park Admission Ticket. If you then want to go to one of that parks restaurants, you will need an advanced dining reservation .

If you show up to the Magic Kingdom with a dining reservation but no park reservation, you will not be allowed in.

When Can I Book Disney Dining

You can make your Disney dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of your trip. We recommend making them as soon as possible, especially if youre visiting during a busy time of year or if you have your heart set on dining at a particular restaurant.

For example, if youre visiting during the holidays or during spring break, you may find that many of the popular restaurants are already booked up by the time you try to make a reservation.

But if you make your reservations as soon as possible , youll have the best chance of getting the restaurants you want.

    Walt Disney World Resort Guests

If on the other hand, you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you have a slight advantage over other guests when it comes to restaurant reservations. You get to take advantage of the 60+10 rule

This used to be the 180+10 rule and will most likely go back to that once the reopening period is over.

Instead of only being able to book Disney restaurants 60 days in advance, you can book them 60 days in advance of your arrival date PLUS you get an additional 10 days bonus from that date. This allows you to book advanced dining reservations for the entirety of your stay, as long as it doesnt go over 10 days.

For example, if today is June 3 then 60 days out is still August 2. But if you have a trip planned for 10 days or less, you can book the restaurants for your whole trip on June 3 and call it a day.

Instead, if you were not staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you could book your ADR for August 2 on June 3, but then for the restaurant on August 3, youd have to wait to book that until the next day, June 4. And so-on and so-forth. That means waking up early for the next 10 days in a row just to book a reservation.

Do you see the advantage in staying on-property in this case?

    • TIP: Count back now 60 days from your Walt Disney World arrival date and mark it down on your calendar so you dont forget.

DISNEY WORLD RESERVATION TUTORIAL | How To Book Dining At Disney World | Special Event Reservations

I had luck with our Be Our Guest reservation by booking dinner at 7:55PM which was a strange time to eat with kids. But it worked out as we managed to get a reservation and since Magic Kingdom closed that day at 8PM, we were able to be in the parks after closing and take some great pictures in front of Cinderella’s Castle.

Be flexible with your times as often the most sought after times will remain those traditional lunch/dinner times of the day while afternoons or late evening may have more availability.

Complete Guide To Disney World Dining Reservations

Were not foodies by any stretch of the imagination, but we are planners. And we are hardcore Walt Disney World planners. A big part of planning a Walt Disney World vacation is picking and booking your dining reservationsusually called Advance Dining Reservations or ADRs.

In this post, were going to cover everything you need to know about Disney World dining reservations, from which restaurants take them to which are the best and most popular, and of course when and how to make them.

    Disney Dining Reservation Rules

The exact date and rules that apply to this 60 day booking window depends on the type of resort you have booked.

Your dining reservations are in no way beholden to your park tickets. This means you do not need to have your park tickets already purchased and linked to My Disney Experience in order to make Disney World dining reservations.

However, please note that if you plan to dine at a restaurant in a Disney park, you must have park tickets AND a park pass reservationin order to eat there.

While the type of resort you stay at determines part of your Disney dining booking window, your dining reservations themselves are not linked to your reservation. If you cancel your resort stay in favor of staying at a cheaper resort outside of Disney, you keep all of your existing dining reservations.

Remember, there are Orlando locals who make reservations at the Disney restaurants all the time without a resort stay booked. Having an on-site reservation will help out with making those original reservations, but changing anything about your resort stay will not touch your already made dining reservations.
