How To Avoid Long Lines For Rides At Disney World
If there is one thing we hate is waiting for hours in queue for an attraction, even if it is a great ride. With so many awesome rides to do at Disney World, saving time by avoiding longs lines is crucial.
Here are our best tips to avoid long lines:
Go Early in the Morning We always suggest doing this for every theme park at Disney World. By showing up at least 30 minutes before the parks open, it will give you an advantage over most guests and you will be able to do all the best rides right away in the morning before the masses arrive.
Go When the Crowds are Low Try planning your trip during a time of the year when crowds are lower. This means avoiding big holidays and going more weekdays than weekends. To help you out, use our Disney World Crowd Calendar to find when there are fewer people in the parks.
Use FastPass+ The Disney theme parks give you the opportunity to get up to three FastPasses per day to skip waiting in line for the most popular attractions. You can make FastPass+ reservations from 30-60 days before the start of your vacation. This will save you some serious time in line and highly recommended.
Make sure to look at the Disney World Attractions Refurbishment Calendar while planning your trip to see if any of your favorite attractions are scheduled to be closed while you are there.
What Park Should I Choose At Disney World
For the Classic Experience
If you’re looking for the classic trip that really says “I went to Disney World,” you can’t go wrong with the park that started it all Magic Kingdom. Tadpoles often can’t believe they are at Disney World until they see that iconic Cinderella Castle. For many parent and grandparent frogs, we remember our trip to Magic Kingdom all those years ago, and it is the park that has remained mostly the same over its 50 years . Even with a focus on magic and fantasy, the distinctly themed lands provide lots of different atmospheres for all to enjoy. With its nostalgia and whimsical Disney fun, Magic Kingdom is a must-do for most frog families!
For the Thrill Seekers
With rides such as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, Disney’s Hollywood Studios provides a thrill for coaster lovers. This park has a variety of adventures that throw you right into your favorite movies. With the addition of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there are lots of epic rides to enjoy . Teenagers and pre-teens like Tad will likely find the most interest in Hollywood Studios, where action and adventure provide a nice contrast to the other parks.
For the Foodie Family
For the Leisurely Pace
For the Royal Tadpoles

Under The Sea Journey Of The Little Mermaid
Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park
Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid is an evergreen favorite among the Magic Kingdom rides for toddlers. Ride in a seashell down to the land of the mermaids. There youll follow Ariel on her journey to meet her prince! As a special treat, you can pop over to another favorite attraction at Magic Kingdom for toddlers: Ariels Grotto. Her undersea home is right next to the Under the Sea ride.

Other Things To Do At Disneys Hollywood Studios
Fortunately there are things other than rides for toddlers at Hollywood Studios. There are shows aplenty that toddlers will enjoy here. The Disney Jr. Dance Party! show is tailor-made for toddlers, featuring all their favorite characters from television. This interactive live show includes Mickey from Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Vampirina, Timon from the Lion Guard, and Doc McStuffins. Your toddler is encouraged to sing and dance along. Be aware that all seating is on the floor but little ones can stand up to dance.
Ka-chow! Cars-loving toddlers are going to love Lightning McQueens Racing Academy. This all-ages show is sure to impress your little race fan. There are also stage shows like Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. There is one scary scene in Beauty and the Beast, but its not too bad. If you have Frozen fans, then For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is a cant-miss show! Toddlers get to sing along with Frozens most popular songs.
TravelingMom Tip: If you wonder at all if an attraction or show is appropriate for your toddler, ask the Cast Member stationed at the entrance. They should be able to give you more details on why or why not!
What Is The Best Disney World Park For Senior Citizens
What is the best theme park at Disney World for senior citizens? Epcot is a perfect park for seniors because of the low-key attractions, dining, shopping, and atmosphere. Walking Epcot feels different than walking Magic Kingdom, for example, because there are definitely less toddler-aged kiddos on any given day. Because of this, it feels a bit more open as you walk. The World Showcase is honestly so fun, and if you need a break or a cool spot to rest, you can go into the American Heritage Gallery, Living with the Land, and more. I can always find a quiet spot to relax at Epcot, and then head back out when Im ready and immediately get involved in some amazing shopping, food, or attractions. Plus, the nighttime spectacular in the World Showcase is inspirational.
Second Best: Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is a perfect park to visit. It has a very nostalgic vibe that sends you straight back to the golden age of Hollywood, and it is honestly fun to grab some Starbucks, post up on a bench on Sunset Boulevard, and watch the plethora of interesting folks walking by. There are plenty of great food options in Hollywood Studios and if youre also a thrill-seeker, there is no shortage of attractions and entertainment as well.

Tom Sawyer Island Rafts
Technically, the rafts you take over to Tom Sawyer Island count as a ride. Its not a particularly interesting ride and is pretty straight-forward. Once you get to the Island though, that is fantastic and you will be immediately thrown back into your childhood and into the adventures of Tom Sawyer.
Take some time here to explore all the areas of the island and to enjoy the relative quiet outside the chaos present in the rest of the park.
Disneys Beach Club Resort
My absolute favorite Disney resort is Disneys Beach Club Resort. Its a deluxe resort located in the Epcot resort area, and has a fun, casual theme reminiscent of the beach clubs along the Atlantic coast.
I especially love the location of the Beach Club, because its so easy to walk right over to the Epcot World Showcase. This is the back entrance of Epcot, so if you want to take the monorail, youll have to walk to the front of Epcot. Youll also be close to the Disney Skyliner.
In addition to walking and the Skyliner, other transportation options include the bus , and Friendship boats .
The Beach Club, along with its sister resort , offers Stormalong Bay, a pool area with a water slide, a sandy-bottom pool, a lazy river, and more. Kids of all ages love Stormalong Bay. There are some nice shallow areas that are great for small children, and of course, older kids love the whole area.
Restaurants include Beaches and Cream ice cream and soda shop, Cape May Cafe, and the Beach Club Marketplace. Youll also have easy access to the restaurants at the Boardwalk and the adjacent Yacht Club.
I love the beautifully decorated coastal rooms at the Beach Club. Room types include water view, standard view, and garden view, as well as Disney Vacation Club suites.

When Is The Best Time To Visit Disney World
Our Disney Crowd Calendar is the best tool to help you get the most out of your time in the parks. We break down park crowds, park hours of operation, ticket prices, and average temperature. We also break down the best time to visit Disney World based on specific times of the year and special events.
Day 4 Rest Morning Hollywood Studios Afternoon
That was an incredible 2 days at Disney World and your feet need a break. Sleep in, enjoy the morning and take it easy.
Once the fog has lifted and the children are awake, head over to Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Disneys BoardWalk. This is probably going to be a late breakfast reservation, but thats ok because they are open from 7:30 AM 12:05 PM.
From here, you need to make a choice Water Park, Disney Springs, or Resort pool day. With little ones, they want to buy and touch everything so Disney Springs is potentially a tantrum and bankruptcy waiting to happen. And in terms of water parks, if they dont know it exists, they will be more than happen to explore the pool area of your resort and save yourself a few hundred dollars in entrance fees .
There are so many things to do outside of the theme parks, we dedicated an entire article about it 40 things to do outside the theme parks without park tickets.
This is also the perfect opportunity to check out Animal Kingdom Lodge. They have great restaurants table service and quick service, as well as scavenger hunts and such. You dont even need to be a guest of this hotel to enjoy.
If resting for a full day isnt your style, then head back to Hollywood Studios and finish off Animation Courtyard. With all that waiting in Toy Story Land, there wasnt much opportunity to see the Disney Junior characters before they went home for dinner.

Mickey & Minnies Runaway Railway
Located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard in Disneys Hollywood Studios is Mickey & Minnies Runaway Railway. This attraction drops you right in the middle of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short and is actually the first Disney World ride to give Mickey and Minnie the starring roles they deserve.
A relaxing ride through the park alongside Mickey and Minnie quickly turns into a madcap adventure when Goofy decides to derail the fun. Kids will crack up at the hilarious gags as they zig and zag through the ride and, after the ride, they can sit back and watch more cartoons inside the Mickey Shorts Theater.
Best Rides At Disney World For Toddlers Ranked
There are so many rides at Disney World for toddlers that we made a list of all the best ones so you know which ones to bring them on and which ones to skip. We broke down these rides by park and put them in order from best to worst.
While most of these attractions would be much lower if aimed at adults, we ranked them through the eyes of a child, taking into consideration which ones would be most fun for them. We also weighed ride length, theming and overall popularity.
Most of the rides we ranked have no height restrictions, and only a couple of them have very low height requirements of 32-35 inches, which the average 3 or 4-year old should be able to do.

Disneys Animal Kingdom With Toddlers
My second Disney World park suggestion for toddlers is Animal Kingdom. Disneys Animal Kingdom with toddlers is an ideal place to spend the day, mostly based on the presence of animals and The Boneyard in DinoLand, U.S.A. The Boneyard is an open air play space where kiddos can run around in a playground designed to look like a fossil dig site. There are ropes, bridges, tiny slides, and more. Its a great place for toddlers to burn off some energy!
Dont miss exploring Pandora the World of Avatar. Navi River Journey is a family ride aboard a reed boat that gently drifts downstream. The scenery is beautiful and there are no wild bumps or drops. The area around Pandora has some cool features that toddlers will like to explore. Toddler rides at Animal Kingdom are Kilimanjaro Safaris and Triceratop Spin.

While there are other more recent hits I considered for this piece , those can be a little too wild for the under three crowd. A musical cruise down the Rio Grande with Donald Duck and his amigos, however, is a great choice for tots who are sure to be mesmerized by Donalds familiarly silly antics.

The Seas With Nemo And Friends & Turtle Talk With Crush
The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion should be on every familys Epcot must see list. Heres what youll find:1.) The Finding Nemoclamobile ride takes you into the main part of the pavilion. It is an easy ride that is appropriate for all ages.
2.) An impressive indoor aquarium featuring a huge saltwater aquarium, oceanography exhibits, and real marine life. There are often two rescued manatees on display especially interesting during feeding time.
3) Finding Dorys Friends Scavenger Hunt – pick up your free scavenger hunt booklet on the first floor of the Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion and solve the puzzles and clues to help Dory remember and find her marine friends. . 4) Turtle Talk with Crush An interactive animated film featuring Crush who tells jokes and answers questions from audience members. Entertaining and education, this tends to be very popular with kids. 5.) Coral Reef A table-service restaurant with one entire wall looking into the huge saltwater aquarium. The food is generally good but is on the expensive side. Coral Reef serves lunch and dinner. The restaurants entrance is on the outside of the Seas pavilion. Advance reservations recommended or check by the restaurant podium early in the day for last minute openings.
