Should I Buy A Disney Annual Pass
So, this is all a ton of information. Now, youre left with a choice: should you buy a Disney annual pass? The truth is, I cant answer that for you! Many people will do a day-by-day park ticket versus annual pass comparison and determine which option is cheaper based on the cost of park tickets. Basically, if you compare the cost of a single-day ticket to the cost of the Platinum Plus Annual Pass , then you would need to visit the parks 12 days in one year to make that annual pass worth price.
However, there is SO much more to consider! There are many different tiers of Disney tickets and annual passes that vary in price, all of which impact whether the annual pass is worth it. Plus, you also have to consider the other benefits of the annual pass. Will you use the merchandise discount a TON? Will you take advantage of the resort discounts when they release? Are you parking at the parks or another form of transportation that would make the free parking benefit irrelevant?
There are a lot of questions here and unfortunately the answers depend very much on you. My best advice is to price out a Disney World vacation for the way you would really spend your trip: where are you staying and how are you getting around, what are you eating, how much are you shopping, how many park days will you have, etc. If you can estimate how much a normal trip would cost you, then you can start figuring out where those Disney annual pass savings may come into play.

I’ve Had A Disney World Annual Pass For Nearly 25 Years Here Are 13 Things I Do Every Time I Visit
I’ve had a Disney World annual pass since I was 3, and now I visit the parks at least twice a month.
I use a countdown clock to secure boarding groups for new rides like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
I never park at Magic Kingdom, instead, I take other forms of transportation to get to the park.
I always take a selfie with the family or friends who are visiting the parks with me.
The first thing I always do when I get to the parks is take a selfie with my group for the day.
This is usually done in front of one of the park icons like Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom or Spaceship Earth at Epcot.
I never used to do this. But then I’d return home, scroll through my photos, and realize I didn’t capture any with the family members and friends who make these treasured memories so special.
Now it’s something I plan for each trip.
When mobile-ordering, I have a special time-saving trick.
Most people will order and wait to tap the “I’m here” button until they’re actually at the entrance of a restaurant, but I hit that button when I’m about five minutes away.
This is a major time-saver by the time I arrive at the restaurant, my order is ready to be picked up and enjoyed. It works best at really busy spots, like Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
I always ask about annual-pass discounts.
When it’s time for a sweet snack, I grab a Dole Whip.

Value For Money For Uk Residents
For UK guests the old Platinum Plus pass offered all the features of the UK Ultimate tickets . UK tickets have always been an extremely good value, compared to the US tickets. A 7- day Ultimate ticket has cost around the same as a 2 day hopper with memory maker and water sports .
With the new annual pass options, plus the new UK options and the added complication of Genie+ this becomes a very complicated decision.
Below we outline the breakdown of how/why we have come to the answer we have. But if you find this a little confusing or simply arent interested in the workings, our conclusion is that the new annual pass is not a better value than the new UK tickets.
In order to start the comparison, the first thing to do is to work out if you want the same perks you get on the UK ticket. In order to compare like for like, we will assume that this is the case, and this adds $198 plus tax to the cost of the Incredi-Pass. This brings your Incredi-Pass total to about $1595. With an exchange rate of $1.3 to the pound this equates to around £1227.
Now the next part gets a little tricky, because the UK tickets now have 3 tiers of pricing. We will base our calculations on the highest rate . If this was the only factor, you would need to visit Walt Disney World 3 times in 12 months to get the benefit of the pass, based on ticket price only. If you are going at a mid or low season you would need to stay even longer to see a saving.
