Top Walt Disney World Restaurants

Le Cellier At The Canada Pavilion At Epcot

TOP 10 Best Restaurants at Disney’s Magic Kingdom | Walt Disney World

Canadians are far too polite to puff out their chests and brag about their culinary contributions. Their natural humility belies the excellence of their food and drinks, though.

At Le Cellier, youll discover the genius of Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, admire the execution of their steaks, and marvel at the quality of their beers.

You may even sample the poutine, although you lose me on that one. If I wind up in The Bad Place, theyll serve poutine at every meal.

But Im told by a particular poutine admirer whom I married that the poutine at Le Cellier is some of the best in the world.

Rose & Crown Dining Room

During regular times, Id recommend this restaurant for other reasons. The patio on the side of Rose & Crown overlooks World Showcase Lagoon.

So, this restaurant provides the once and future view of EPCOTs nighttime presentations.

Presumably, when fireworks return to Walt Disney World, a table here will provide a close view of Harmonious, which appears nearly ready to debut.

For now, youre only eating here for the food, which is like settling for one of the best meals of your life.

Staples of British cuisine like Fish & Chips and Shepherds Pie populate the menu.

While the menu may sound cliche, its a surprisingly earnest, authentic dining experience.

Also, if my wife had to choose between Sticky Toffee Pudding and me, I wouldnt win.

Trader Sams Grog Grotto

Likely the most missed bar in Disney World during the extended closures was Trader Sams Grog Grotto in Disneys Polynesian Village Resort. How do we know? The day it FINALLY reopened, there was a massive line down the hall, just to get to the doorway to join a VIRTUAL line!

Theres a lot to take in here!

Its easy to see the appeal of this place. Its fun, its dark and transportive, its interactive, and the drinks are not only tasty, but many come in SUPER cool and collectible mugs!

The captain driving the boat

Yeah, were members of the Trader Sams fan club. If youre looking for a unique place to grab some bites to eat and sip on some drinks while being surrounded by a super fun atmosphere, this is IT.

Jiko The Cooking Place

  • Cost: $$$
  • Type of Food: African

Time and time again, Jiko stays firmly in our Top 10 restaurants at Disney World, this time making it all the way up to #3. Some restaurants are more flashy with a cooler theme. Some have incredible views and wow you with fireworks shows. Jiko might not have those, but everything it does, it does exceptionally well.

Jikos menu is inspired by the vast cuisines found throughout Africa and it is by far the most exotic of all the Disney signature restaurants. You are not going to find a burger and fries on the menu, but you will find some of the most flavorful and inspired dishes anywhere.

In all our years of coming to Jiko, not once have we ever walked away being disappointed with our meal. That counts for a lot as most of the other top Disney World restaurants have disappointed us at least once. Do not miss out on one of the best Disney dining experiences.

What to Get: The Taste of Africa bread service is up there with the one from Sanaa, and the flatbreads here are legendary. The lamb is the best weve ever had anywhere, and the short rib is also not to be missed. Even though you wont find it on the menu, the filet mignon with mac and cheese is one of our favorite Disney entrees of all-time. Its life-changing! Make sure you enjoy it with one of the many South African wines they have in the cellar.

  • Cost: $$$$
  • Type of Food: Japanese, Steakhouse, Sushi

Its A Tie Teppan Edo Narcoossees And Sanaa

Teppan Edo, Narcoossees, and Sanaa all received equal votes from you, our subscribers. Yall really know how to make it difficult when ranking the most popular Walt Disney World restaurants, eh?

Teppan Edo, in Japans Pavilion at EPCOT, is a vibrant, hibachi-style restaurant thats fun for everybody. The chefs are top-notch at both cooking and entertaining and perform quite an impressive show while transforming your food into Disney-themed art, before you gobble down every delicious bite.

Narcoossees, in Disneys Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, is surf-and-turf paradise. The servers go out of their way to ensure everything is cooked to your liking, and the panoramic views overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon are just gorgeous.

Sanaa, in Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge, is the place you want for a unique, East African-inspired meal. The Indian-style bread service is out of this world, and the restaurant boasts views of the savanna, where you may catch a few animal sightings.

Be Our Guest Restaurant Magic Kingdom

What is the BEST Theme Park Dining at Walt Disney World? | Disney Dining Show

I will fully admit, I actually shed a tear the first time I stepped foot in Be Our Guest Restaurant. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite, and the attention to detail in this place is nothing short of exquisite.

You may even catch the Master, the Beast himself, if youre dining at dinnertime.

Our favorite items: The Grey Stuff and the French Onion Soup.

Stk Orlando At Disney Springs

Like Shulaâs, STK is also a restaurant chain. Their Disney Springs location is generally regarded as the best one, although some might argue for Las Vegas. The steaks at STK Orlando are works of art, and thatâs by design. Itâs a trendy establishment that seeks status on the cutting edge of fine dining.

Thereâs even a DJ at the restaurant. When youâre in the mood for romance, itâs a wonderful choice since the environment is intentionally dark and atmospheric. And the Cowgirl Ribeye is a religious experience.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant

Yak & Yeti is both a sit-down and quick-service venue in Animal Kingdom. The quick-service window is a stripped-down version of the menu offered inside. Yak & Yeti isnt cheap, but the pan-Asian cuisine is quite good making it one of our favorites at Animal Kingdom. The decor will give you a bit of the feel of eating in a Nepalese market.

One way to keep your total check affordable is to order one of the shareable plates . The portion size is plenty for two or more. Skip the barbecue and burger in favor of the duck or one of the bowls. Make sure you finish with the dessert wontons youll be glad you did.

Rainbow Of Price Cake Landscape Of Flavors Art Of Animation Resort

The Rainbow of Pride Cake released for Pride Month at a variety of Disney World hotels was a BIG surprise for us. Its a vanilla cake roll with lemon cream cheese filling and white chocolate decor for $5.79, and it wasnt just beautiful. It was also one of the freshest desserts weve had in Disney World, EVER!

Rainbow of Pride

The cake itself was moist and fluffy, the lemon cream cheese filling was , and overall the treat wasnt too sweet. We loved it! It was only available through , but maybe well see it return for Pride Month next year!

Geyser Point Bar & Grill

Top 10 Table

Long before La Crêperie de Paris was doing double duty with Table Service and Quick Service, Geyser Point Bar & Grill was paving the way in Disneys Wilderness Lodge, and we gotta bow down!

Geyser Point

This place is great for its something-for-everyone vibe, flavors, and dining style all in a rustic-chic environment with an open-air ambience, prime waterfront views, and decor reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest. Beautiful!

Burgers are a hearty late-night choice at Geyser Point

Sanaa Best Disney Restaurants #6

Location: Animal Kingdom Lodge

What to Expect: A hidden gem and simply one of the top Disney restaurants! Surprisingly enough, Sanaa is typically pretty easy to get a reservation for. Expect a stellar meal with views of the animals on the resorts savanna during breakfast and lunch. Weve eaten here multiple times and the consistency of the food and service also make Sanaa one of the best Disney World restaurants due to the excellency!

Type of Food: A fusion of African and Indian cuisine

Must-Try Menu Items: Grilled Lamb Kefta, Indian-style bread service and Tandoori Shrimp.

With or Without Kids: Definitely check this one out with kidseven though the menu doesnt feature typical American grub, there is something for even the pickiest of eaters on their menu. Plus, the theming and savanna views makes it a totally memorable experience for kids!

Best Dinner At Hollywood Studios

If you stay for dinner, Hollywood Studios has some good options, again depending on how much time you have. If you are going to see the fireworks or Fantasmic make sure you book an early dinner at least a couple of hours before the showtime. That way you have enough time to get there and find a spot.

Here are our top choices for dinner at Hollywood Studios:

Something Quick Any of the quick service restaurants are fine for dinner but we like the ABC Commissary. The menu here has really improved over the last few years and most of the items are actually really good.

Other options here include Docking Bay 7 and so are Woodys Lunch Box and the Backlot Express.

Sit-Down Meal You have to try 50s Prime Time Cafe, a quintessential Disney meal and a great option for dinner. You also cant go wrong with the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, nothing like eating dinner in your car!

The Best Of Disney World Character Dining

When it comes to character dining at Disney World, it can be tough to select the right experience without research. I often have people tell me that they have heard this or that place was the best, so thats why they booked it.

While its great to take recommendations from friends and family, its also important to know that a meal like this is actually a bit of an investment.

In fact, the average family of four will typically spend close to $200.00 on one character dining experience. In comparison, thats another day added on to the park for most families holding multi-day tickets. It could be another night at a Disney value resort under most circumstances. There are so many things that these funds could be applied to during your vacation.

Character dining can be a great thing that your family leaves talking about for years to come. It offers a private, more intimate setting with characters.

These meals are a great way for children who might have shy tendencies to warm up to characters by seeing them interact with other guests. In addition, the characters are highly trained and do well when dealing with children who might be upset with their appearance.

When it comes to choosing a character dining meal, I would start with one of two ways.

  • Go for the food.
  • Go for the character you want to have more time with and know the food might be average.
  • Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno
  • Breakfast at Topolinos Terrace

Don’t Miss: Legoland Florida To Disney World

    Best Restaurants At Epcot

EPCOT is hands down the winner for having the best food in all of Walt Disney World. This park is a foodies dream! The entire World Showcase is dedicated to the culinary arts found worldwide. EPCOT has the most restaurants out of the four theme parks and theres usually a festival going on most days of the year. These festivals Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden Festival, Food & Wine Festival and Festival of the Holidays include food booths and kitchens that offer the most frogtastic food youll ever see or eat.

    Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Les Halles is a traditional French bakery located in the France Pavilion. In our opinion, this place can do no wrong. Here, you’ll find fresh soups, salads, baguette sandwiches and pastries. It also serves champagne, beer, wine and gourmet coffees. Make sure to grab one of the fruit macaroons and a frosé. You wont be sorry!

    Quick-service: $

    Table-service/casual: $$

Frog Family Tip: This is the best character meal for photos. Because of the circular shape of the restaurant, youll be able to snap pictures with the characters without a lot of distractions or other guests in the background.

    Table-service/character meal/casual: $$

Honorable Mention: Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

    Table-service/casual: $$

    La Hacienda De San Angel

    • Cost: $$$
    • Type of Food: Mexican

Everyone likes the San Angel Inn at EPCOT, but while thats good, we actually prefer La Hacienda de San Angel right across the promenade. The food is slightly better quality and we love the location right on the water. Its a great spot to watch the fireworks show without having to wait for a spot outside.

You might be able to get a better Mexican meal back home for cheaper, but you cant beat the atmosphere which is close to the top at EPCOT.

What to Get: We could eat loads of the queso fundido with melted cheese with chorizo, peppers, and onions, no questions asked. The osso buco a la Mexicana is something different or you could go with either taco meal or the carne asada if you are in the mood for something more familiar.

Is it Kid-Friendly?: Yes. If your kids like Mexican food they will enjoy La Hacienda, although San Angel Inn is a better choice if you are going with kids.

    • Cost: $$-$$$
    • Type of Food: English, Pub

EPCOT has many great restaurants, and Rose & Crown is right up there on the list. This is an English pub that serves traditional fare like fish and chips and bangers and mash. The menu is not too expensive and the dishes are hearty and feel home-cooked.

Even though the food is good, the location is even better. If the weather is nice, try to get a table out on the patio where you can witness an incredible sunset followed by a front row seat to the fireworks show.
