Top Of The World Restaurant Disney

Rose & Crown Dining Room

Top 10 Restaurants At Disney World Florida

During regular times, Id recommend this restaurant for other reasons. The patio on the side of Rose & Crown overlooks World Showcase Lagoon.

So, this restaurant provides the once and future view of EPCOTs nighttime presentations.

Presumably, when fireworks return to Walt Disney World, a table here will provide a close view of Harmonious, which appears nearly ready to debut.

For now, youre only eating here for the food, which is like settling for one of the best meals of your life.

Staples of British cuisine like Fish & Chips and Shepherds Pie populate the menu.

While the menu may sound cliche, its a surprisingly earnest, authentic dining experience.

Also, if my wife had to choose between Sticky Toffee Pudding and me, I wouldnt win.

The Best Disney World Restaurant: Takumi

Upscale Japanese omakase in a theme park? Yes, please.

First opened in summer 2019 , Takumi-Tei and its five themed rooms immediately transport you out of theme park mode and into a calm, serene environment with extremely attentive service, solid food and great attention to detail.

Besides the $130 seven-course omakase menu option, you can choose to order a la carte as long as you didnt select the Chefs Table in the water room. There, you must order a nine-course, $180 meal that takes place over three hours.

Among the individual dishes, we recommend the chefs sushi assortment, served in bite-sized pieces , the telen-garden salad with watermelon and tuna sashimi and, of course, the wagyu beef is melt-in-your-mouth fantastic.

Theres a childrens menu, but it comprises items such as roasted duck and sea bass, so this restaurant may be one you save for date night or when the children are older its that good.

When Takumi-Tei reopens, its a spot we cant recommend enough.

Jiko The Cooking Place

  • Cost: $$$
  • Type of Food: African

Time and time again, Jiko stays firmly in our Top 10 restaurants at Disney World, this time making it all the way up to #3. Some restaurants are more flashy with a cooler theme. Some have incredible views and wow you with fireworks shows. Jiko might not have those, but everything it does, it does exceptionally well.

Jikos menu is inspired by the vast cuisines found throughout Africa and it is by far the most exotic of all the Disney signature restaurants. You are not going to find a burger and fries on the menu, but you will find some of the most flavorful and inspired dishes anywhere.

In all our years of coming to Jiko, not once have we ever walked away being disappointed with our meal. That counts for a lot as most of the other top Disney World restaurants have disappointed us at least once. Do not miss out on one of the best Disney dining experiences.

What to Get: The Taste of Africa bread service is up there with the one from Sanaa, and the flatbreads here are legendary. The lamb is the best weve ever had anywhere, and the short rib is also not to be missed. Even though you wont find it on the menu, the filet mignon with mac and cheese is one of our favorite Disney entrees of all-time. Its life-changing! Make sure you enjoy it with one of the many South African wines they have in the cellar.

Lakefront Restaurants With Water

The 23 Best Restaurants at Epcot, Ranked

Florida is a swampy state, where an afternoon downpour in the summertime is virtually a foregone conclusion. But, there are also some beautiful waterfront views to be had at several restaurants overlooking some of Disney Worlds lakes and rivers.

The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is home to some of the best dining at Disney World, and, without a doubt, one of the restaurants that never fails to charm guests is The BOATHOUSE. This surf-and-turf restaurant overlooking the water dishes up coastal classics like a raw bar, fresh fish, burgers and Gibsons Heritage steaks. Theres even the Captains Sing-Along Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, with entertainment provided by a pair of dueling pianos.

While youre there, be sure to check out the restaurants vintage Amphicars. These quirky amphibious vehicles drive straight into the water for a guided, 25-minute tour of the Disney Springs waterfront.

Paddlefish at Disney Springs

Like The BOATHOUSE, Paddlefish also offers a variety of surf-and-turf selections. Only instead of riding on a boat to see the sights, youll instead be dining from a steam-powered paddleboat anchored in the lake. With three levels, including rooftop seating and 360-degree vistas of the water and the rest of Disney Springs, its another delicious option for refueling after a day in the parks.

However, starting this month, the downtown hotspot will launch monthly pool parties that are open to locals the first Friday of each month.

Best Breakfast At Disneys Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios breakfast is limited but you can still find some tasty things if you know where to look.

Table Service: Just Dont

Because of the popularity of Disneys Hollywood Studios right now with Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxys Edge,we would not recommend eating a table service breakfast at this park.

Your time would be better spent hopping in line for an attraction like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or Slinky Dog Dash before the park gets really busy.

Quick Service: Ronto Roasters

Inside Star Wars: Galaxys Edge is where youll find a small quick service location called Ronto Roasters.

Youve likely heard of their popular Ronto Wrap for lunch or dinner, but the real star here is their breakfast Ronto Wrap, which has eggs, cheese, and sausage with a tangy sauce wrapped in warm bread!

Grab one of these after going in the Single Rider Line for Smugglers Run, or for even quicker service order via Disneys mobile order function on the My Disney Experience app.

Best Breakfast At Disneys Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Eating breakfast while touring the animal exploration trails, or staring at the floating mountains of Pandora- The World of Avatar seems like a fantastic way to start the day!

Table Service: Tusker House

Disneys most unique character breakfast is at Tusker House, which we highly recommend experiencing at least once! The breakfast is a delightful blend of African and American cuisine, and its all hosted by Donald Duck and his pals.

Quick Service: Pongu Pongu

The tiny quick service location inside Pandora- The World of Avatar is home to the sweetest breakfast treat, Pongu Lumpia!

These little egg rolls are filled with cream cheese and pineapple then rolled in cinnamon sugar for a sugar rush of a breakfast.

Via Napoli Ristorante E Pizzeria

The BEST Disney World Restaurant EVER

Epcot

Located in the Italy pavilion in Epcot, Via Napoli serves up pizza, pasta, salads, and other Italian eats for lunch and dinner. The thin-crust Neapolitan pizza is the star of the show at this table-service restaurant the three wood-burning ovens are even named after Italy’s volcanoes, Mount Etna, Mount Vesuvius, and Stromboli.

Th Anniversary Food And Beverage

In honor of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary there are over 150 different specialty drinks, eats, and treats available throughout the resort. Keep an eye out at all quick service and table service locations for the specially designated 50th anniversary items.

One of my favorite 50th anniversary drinks is the Magical Beacon Cocktail made with 1908 Empress Gin. The celebration is just getting started so you’ll have plenty of time to try out the new treats together.

Top Of The World Dining At Disneys California Grill

Over the course of almost two decades California Grill has attained cult status and is consistently one of the toughest tickets in the World to obtain reservations. Here my favorite things are all in one place: a super wine list, outstanding cuisine, striking décor, and fabulous views. The drop-dead-gorgeous setting on the 15th floor of Disneys Contemporary Resort enjoys Disneys bestperiod. From its lofty heights diners can see Magic Kingdom® Park, the sparkling Seven Seas Lagoon, and, best of all, the Wishes fireworks show.

An inventive approach to seasonally focused food goes along with the restaurants coveted position, and now that the restaurant has been remodeled in a mid-century look with modern touches, everything is better than ever. White walls mix with warm fabrics and carpeting in sunset colors of yellow, red, and orange, and the massive picture windows are perfect for peering out at that spectacular view. The open kitchen is still the restaurants central focus, but lines are cleaner and the views more expansive now that windows are floor to ceiling with virtually no interruption except for minimal framing.

Finish with warm fritters, banana stuffed and cinnamon dusted with dipping sauces and even toasted caramel marshmallow.

Procuring a window seat here can be tough but dont be discouraged time your meal around the fireworks and head outside to not one but two super observation platforms for a birds-eye view of the extravaganza.

Crystal Palace

Situated just off Main Street, the striking glass Victorian-style building is known as the Crystal Palace. This Disney restaurant is a fantastic place to meet some of your favorite Disney friends, including Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet! You can even march in a parade with all of these fun characters!

This buffet-style dining option is open for all three meals of the day, so you can enjoy everything from freshly-made omelets to roasted carved meats. There are also quite a few Disney character-inspired food items, including the iconic Mickey waffles and the Poohs puff French toast. As with most, if not all, Disney buffets, there is a kids section of the buffet to ensure that your little ones have a few different foods that they enjoy.

Cinderellas Royal Table

When you dine at Cinderellas Royal Table, you are there for the experience. Youll get to explore Cinderellas Castle, be greeted as my lord and my lady, and get some quality time with your favorite princesses, including Cinderella herself.

As can be expected, the opportunity to dine in Cinderellas Castle is in demand, so making a reservation far in advance would be a wise choice.

Be Our Guest Restaurant

For lunch, the prices become more reasonable and the portions become larger. Dishes such as the French onion soup, the croque monsieur, and the braised chicken are all fantastic.

Read this list of the Best Restaurants in Disney World before you make any reservations for your next WDW vacation! This list has suggestions for any type of Disney dining that you’re looking for!

As an Orlando local, I’ve been visiting Walt Disney World for the last 30 years. During that time, I’ve eaten at many restaurants in the Disney bubble , multiple times!

Over the years, I’ve definitely gone back to certain restaurants more than others because I think that they’re the best for a reason! That reason could be based on food, presentation, experience, atmosphere, decor, characters, or all of the above. Based on my experiences, I’ve compiled a list of the best restaurants in Walt Disney World to help you plan your next vacation!

What makes this list of the best dining in Disney World unique is that each restaurant is also allergy and vegan-friendly. My husband and I have been vegan for almost three years now and all of these restaurants have delicious options for everyone to enjoy!

Many of these restaurants were my favorite before I was vegan but they continue to surprise us with new plant-based options almost every time we visit! I included links to the menus for each restaurant + what plant-based options they offer, so you can check out the food and decide if it’s somewhere you’d like to eat or not no matter what your dietary preference is.

Best Disney Character Dining Meals

A favorite Disney dining pastime is going to character meals. Though they arent for everyone, and you are paying a premium to meet the characters, it is a quintessential Disney World experience you have to do once per trip, especially if you have kids.

Here are our picks for the Best Character Meals at Disney World:

  • Topolinos Terrace This character breakfast is our favorite in all Disney World. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are all here and the food quality is second to none.
  • Tusker House This is the best character breakfast in any park with a great choice of food for adventurous and more traditional guests. Plus you get Mickey and the gang in their safari outfits!
  • 1900 Park Fare This is a great character meal for breakfast or dinner with a different lineup of characters for each. We also like the food quality with a lot of interesting choices. Strawberry soup anyone?
  • Ravello This is another character meal with excellent food. Goofy and his pals are the stars and dressed in their vacation outfits. It is pricey, but worth it if staying nearby.
  • Story Book Dining at Artist Point This has perhaps the coolest character experience. Yes Snow White and the Dwarfs are here, but its the Queen who steals the show.
  • Cinderellas Royal Table This is the classic Disney character experience and located in Cinderella Castle. Its expensive, but the location and selection of princesses cant be beat.
  • The Crystal Palace Magic Kingdom Main Street Usa

Things To Know Before You Go

Ready to don your vacation best and head to one of the signature restaurants above? Read these tips and tricks first to make sure you have the best experience possible.

    1. Disney signature restaurants arent cheap.

As you can imagine, dining at one of the fancy restaurants in Disney World isnt exactly a budget-minded endeavor. Meals here can be on the steep side, and thats putting it mildly. Depending on what you order, you could spend anywhere from $35 just for the entrée to $185 or more for a prix fixe menu. We suggest you check out the dishes and prices ahead of time so you dont suffer from sticker shock once the check comes.

    2. Remember that a dress code may be required at Disney World fine dining restaurants.

One does not simply walk into a signature restaurant at Disney in flip-flops and cut-off shorts. Well, at least at most Disney World fine dining options anyway. Though not all, many of the fancy restaurants at Disney World require diners to follow a dress code. Now, while you dont need to show up in an evening gown or a tux, guests must comply with the following guidelines:

    3. Advance dining reservations are encouraged.

    4. Disney World signature restaurants are part of the Disney Dining Plan.

So, if you do plan on using the Disney Dining Plan at your next signature dining meal, be sure to budget your entitlements accordingly so you arent left having to pay out-of-pocket for these more expensive dining options.
