Gallop on into the Fort Wilderness Campground for yet another of the resorts hidden gems: an unforgettable visit to Disneys Tri-Circle-D Ranch. While animal experiences like pony, trail, wagon, carriage, and holiday sleigh rides are available for an additional fee, guests can visit the stables for free. Horse girls and animal lovers of all stripes will appreciate all of the Disney World horses that live here seven different breeds in total including those that work down on Main Street U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom, Cinderellas Ponies, and the Headless Horsemans trusty steed from the yearly Halloween parade. You can even see the Dragon Calliope, a horse-powered musical instrument Walt Disney bought way back in the 1950s for Disneylands Mickey Mouse Club Circus Parade.

Special Mention: Whispering Canyon At Wilderness Lodge

This is the place to order their signature skillet, a mammoth meal at any time of the day. Theres one thing you need to do here too. Call for the ketchup.

Dip In The Hotel Pool

This is one you need to actually be staying on property for, but if you are dont forget about the fabulous pool at your hotel! Every single hotel at Walt Disney World has a pool and a day or afternoon spent by it can be just the relaxing re-energizing activity you need to gear up for a full day of park hopping another time.

Disneys Contemporary Resort and Grand Floridian even have cabanas to rent.

Where To Eat At Magic Kingdom

25 Ultimate Things to Do at Walt Disney World Fodors ...

Were only eaten at the cheaper quick service restaurants at Magic Kingdom.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn in Frontierland is our top pick for eating at Disney World on a budget as they have a huge free toppings bar where you can liven up your meal with salsas, cheese, jalapeƱos, pickles, and lettuce.

The veggie nachos and veggie rice bowl with beans and vegetables are pretty tasty once youve added the toppings. Save time by ordering on the Disney app.

Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square is another good option. We enjoyed the hummus and broccoli slaw sandwich and vegetarian chilli.

Enjoy Disney Jogging Trails

50 Things in Disney World Everyone Should Do At Least ONCE!

Now, I appreciate that you may not want to go for a jog while at Disney World, but you can also just use the jogging trails at various resorts to go for a nice family walk for free.

There are jogging trails at many different areas, including the jogging trail at the All-Star resorts, the lap around the lake from the Beach/Yacht Club to the Boardwalk, a jogging trail that connects Art of Animation and Pop Century and more.

Drink Around The World

Disney World is home to Epcot and Epcot is home to the one and only World Showcase! One of the best things to do in Disney World is explore the World Showcase at Epcot and while you could quickly walk around the world, I highly recommend drinking around the world instead!

Drinking around the world has become a fan favorite and you should definitely check out my Ultimate Guide to Drinking Around the World before you depart on your globe trotting adventure!

Drinking around the world in the Epcot World Showcase is by far one of my favorite activities in Disney World! While you can grab an alcohol drink in each country, you do not need to drink alcohol to make this super fun. Grab a bubble tea in China, a hot chocolate in Norway, or Berber Passion in Morocco.

If you do drink alcohol, my Ultimate Guide will point you to some of the best tasty beverages, but you can also just pick the coolest sounding drink from each country!

If you want to add one more item to your must do activities in Disney World grab a drink in every Disney park too! While Magic Kingdom used to not sell alcohol, you can now find beer and alcohol in this park! Where? Check out my Guide on Where to Find Beer and Alcohol in Magic Kingdom!

Ride The Monorail For Free

You can experience one of Disneys most magical forms of transportation, the Monorail.

The Monorail ride takes you to all three resorts on the Magic Kingdom loop.

You can also use the Monorail to get a sneak peek to the inside of Epcot.

To get to the Monorails you will need to take a bus ride to one of the Monorail resorts. Once there, just hop on the Monorail and enjoy your ride.

Hipster Power Tip: Parking for free at Disney Springs to catch the bus to a resort is cool, just know that although you wont have to pay with money you will pay with time. Traveling on the buses at Disney can eat up a lot of your travel time.

Do The Monorail Bar Crawl

25 Ultimate Things to Do at Walt Disney World Fodors ...

Enchanted Rose is one of many immersive themed bars at Disney World and you can experience a handful of them on the Monorail resort line. The loop stops at Polynesian Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and literally runs through the Contemporary Resort. Hop off for the Seven Seas Lagoon, a giant fishbowl cocktail complete with gummy fish, or the Polynesian Pearl at Trader Sams Grog Grotto. The tiki-inspired bar is highly interactive with reactions that trigger throughout the room depending on which drink you order. No spoilers but one cocktail just might create rough, stormy seas and an island downpour.

Have a great vacation!

I Always Make Time To Watch The Entertainment On Main Street Usa

There are a number of entertainment offerings up and down Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom, and I’ve always found them extremely underrated.

On top of the big parades, there are character meet and greets, the Trolley Show where performers sing and dance on the Main Street trolley, the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet, and the roaming suffragettes who interact with guests.

I highly recommend sitting on the curb and taking in all the fun performances.

Resorts And No Parks Days

If you have some free time, or if youre planning a meal at one of Disneys hotels, you may want to set aside some time to explore their resorts. This is particularly a good idea if youre planning a future visit and want to scope out the hotel.

You can easily visit the monorail hotels by riding the monorail between them. You can easily visit the Boardwalk hotels by walking between them, particularly while walking between Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

And if you want a full day of relaxation , you may want to set aside time for a no parks day. This is a day where you dont go to the parks, instead focusing on the other activities your resort and Walt Disney World have to offer.

Pro Tip: Disney Hotel Split Stays

Top 5 Things to Do At Walt Disney World for Toddlers

If youre considering one Disney hotel, why not two? Disney will transfer your luggage between any of their hotels. This makes doing a split staywhere you stay at two different Disney hotels on the same tripquite convenient. In particular, we like to pair hotels across tiers, usually a longer value stay with a shorter deluxe stay.

If you can do a split stay that gives you access to Extended Evening Hours during your deluxe stay, youll really have a winning trip.

See Festival Of The Lion King

All four parks have Disney Broadway-inspired shows, but if you only see one show at Disney World, it has to be Festival of the Lion King. Its as close as you can get to the real thing because the same style of puppetry is used. And the sheer talent of vocalists will blow you away. Located in Disneys Animal Kingdom, this theater-in-the-round experience has been shortened and modified amid the pandemic to A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King, but its still packed with star power and a must-see.

Best Adult Hotels At Disney World

  • Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
  • Disneys Yacht and Beach Club
  • Disneys Riviera Resort
  • The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • So what is the best hotel for adults visiting Walt Disney World? The Disney Saratoga Springs resort. The main reason we listed Disney Saratoga Springs as the number one resort for adults visiting Walt Disney is its location. Its close proximity to Disney Springs makes this a great destination for anyone looking to take advantage of the shops and restaurants it has to offer. Guests can easily walk or take a boat ride over to this amazing area at their convenience. This amazing resort also recently went through a room makeover and we were blown away by the new amenities at this resort.

Special Note: Disneys Riviera resort recently opened in Walt Disney World. We recently stayed at the Riviera resort and we really were blown away by this new resort. Its new hotel rooms, pool, and restaurants make it a great destination for adults in Disney World. The Riviera resort is also part of the brand-new Disney skyliner which makes it right in the middle of EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. This can make for a quick commute between parks and we do find that most adults in Disney World spend their time at EPCOT.

Theres no question that we love Disney theme parks. Our whole blog is dedicated to them, after all! Another thing we love just as much is Disney movies. Take A Boat From Disney Springs To The Port Orleans Resorts

One of the most relaxing things to do on Disney property is also free!

You can take the boat from Disney Springs to Disneys Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter, where youll uncover a whole different world of relaxation.

Port Orleans Riverside, in particular, is a lovely and large moderate resort to stroll down, and you can have the kids play on the playgrounds, swing in the hammocks, or sit by the giant water wheel in the food court.

The boat ride takes about 20 minutes each way, and youll also pass the beautiful treehouse villas of Saratoga Springs.

One of the best things to do in Disney for free will ironically make you feel like youre not in Disney at all! .
