Transportation Options From Riviera Resort
The absolute best transportation option at Disneys Riviera is the Skyliner! This is Disneys newest form of transportation. Its a gondola system that will carry you from place to place. The Skyliner makes it so easy to get to two of Disneys theme parks. From the Riviera, you can take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
If youre traveling to Epcot, the Skyliner will take you right to International Gateway, so you can enter by the France pavilion! If youre traveling to Hollywood Studios, you will have to take the Skyliner to the main hub located at Caribbean Beach. From there you will get off and get back on a different Skyliner route. The lines move fairly quickly for the Skyliner since its constantly moving, making it a quick and easy mode of transportation.
Want to visit Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, or the water parks? The Riviera Resort has buses that will take you to all of these locations! If you dont want to take the Skyliner to Epcot or Hollywood Studios, there are also buses that will take you to these parks. However, the Skyliner would definitely be faster!
Movies & Morning Yoga
Many Walt Disney World guests tend to forget about the awesome resort activities that are offered on property. Upon check-in at the Riviera, be sure to grab a calendar of events for the resort. On select mornings, near the pool, they offer group yoga classes. In the evenings, guests can enjoy outdoor movies experiences. Its worth taking a break from the parks to explore everything the resort has to offer.

How Much Does It Cost To Stay At Disney Riviera Resort
When youre looking to budget for a stay at this resort you need to be aware of peak and off-peak pricing times at WDW. Prices are going to be the highest during holiday seasons and on the weekends. You can save hundreds if you stay during an off-peak time and mid-week.
The Disney Riviera Resort price will also depend on whether youre renting DVC points or booking the resort like a normal hotel room. The price will also depend on the type of room you want to book. This is a Deluxe Resort property so its one of the most expensive Disney resort options.
Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort does give you some perks like an earlier FastPass booking window and extra magic hours .

Food And Drink At The Riviera
Le Petite Cafe offers a nod to the cafe by the same name in Disneys The Aristocats. The cafe transforms from a coffee shop by day to a wine bar at night.
Next door, the Voyagers Lounge pays tribute to Walt Disneys global travels. Black and white photos in the hall capture moments from Disneys international trips. Book titles gathered by Walt Disney during his travels line the lounge. The dark wood room is designed to be the perfect spot to drink coffee by day and sip wine in the evening.
Down the hall, the Primo Piatto restaurant offers grab-and-go quick-service snacks along with casual dining indoors and outside along the Riviera promenade.
Topolinos Terrace Restaurant dominates the Riviera Resorts top floor. The stylish rooftop eatery features family dining with Disney characters during the day. The restaurant transitions to more traditional dining in the evening.
Location Of The Riviera Resort At Disney
This wouldnt be a great Disney Riviera Resort review if we didnt talk about its amazing location! If you arent planning on staying at the Riviera Resort for its luxury and amenities, stay for its top tier location! The Riviera Resort is located right between Hollywood Studios and Epcot, with easy transportation to both.
It feels secluded, but its also located near a bunch of other resorts that are easy to get to. The resorts near the Riviera are Caribbean Beach, the Boardwalk, the Yacht and Beach Club, the Swan and Dolphin, Art of Animation, and Pop Century.
As you can see, there are plenty of other resorts to visit and explore while staying at the Riviera! This resort has such a prime location with easy access to two Disney World parks and lots of other resorts. You cant beat that!

The Inspiration Behind Disneys Riviera Resort
The story behind this resort goes all the way back to Walt and his wife Lillian. They loved to travel so when they toured Europe in the 1930s, Walt came back with filled with ideas and inspiration. His love of European architecture, art, food and stories had a big influence on Disney storytelling and this influence continues with the Riviera Resort.
Everywhere you turn, from the main lobby to the hallways, this resort blends influences from both Italy and France. Like the name suggests, the European Riviera is the theme and you can see the inspiration throughout the resort. Theres a lot to love about the design, especially the unique artwork thats both modern and classic at the same time.
Deluxe Studio Room Amenities
Theres definitely more than meets the eye when you inspect this room a little further. Notice that the sofa is actually a Murphy bed that pulls down out of the wall adding an additional queen bed to the space.
During the day you can adjust the bed back into the wall and use the space as more of a living area.
There is a low coffee table in the living area that doubles as extra storage. I also felt it offered a nice table top for children to sit around and have a meal. You can easily mobile order chicken nuggets and fries from Primo Piatto downstairs and bring them back to your room. They have a few nice sandwich selections as well! You can preview their menu here.
Next we have a closer look at that pull down Murphy style bed. The artwork in the panel features scenes from 101 Dalmatians. One of the really nice things about the Riviera Resort, in general, is the amount of artwork they have throughout the resort. If you are a lover of art, this is definitely a resort youll want to consider.
Underneath the television youll encounter a pull down trundle. Naturally, the beds are designated for younger children. While I didnt have a tape measure with me, I do think its safe to say that these run just a tad bit smaller than a standard twin size bed. Children will love the fact that Pascal is sleeping peacefully beside them along with a few other animals from the forest.

History Of Disneys Riviera Resort
As a young resort, were using the word history lightly here.
Originally announced at D23 in 2017, from the beginning Disneys Riviera Resort paid homage to the Mediterranean regions of Europe.
The idea of bringing a luxurious feel to this DVC resort served as the inspiration for several of the decisions made throughout the design process.
Even the colors of the awnings and the double-dome roofs work to distinguish the wings of the resort, and provide an aesthetically pleasing design.
The resort concept and design came from the incredible minds of the Disney Imagineering team rather than an outside architect, which is somewhat unique in terms of resort history.
However, going with an in house approach to design gives Disneys Riviera Resort that distinctly Disney feel. Riviera Resort also proves, once and for all, that Disney can do luxury just as well as anyone.

On the main floor, adjacent from the hotels lobby, guests can enjoy specialty cocktails and baked items from Le Petite Cafe. Its a French-inspired cafe that features unique seasonal cupcakes, cheesecakes, pastries and cakes. Alcoholic offerings range from $7.50 to $14.00 per serving. Guests can use the Disney Dining Plan snack credits. Its a great afternoon snack option after returning from the parks or a quick place to grab a pastry to enjoy while waiting for the resort buses.
Where Is The Disney Riviera Resort
This new deluxe resort is located in the Epcot Resort Area of Walt Disney World. Now you might be wondering if you can walk from Riviera Resort to Epcot and unfortunately you cannot. Unlike the Boardwalk area resorts, there are no paths that allow you access to Epcot or Hollywood Studios.
The Disney Riviera Resort is actually located right next to Disneys Caribbean Beach Resort.
Riviera Resort Rooms: Studios
Studios are a great option for smaller families, couples, and singles.
While most DVC resorts have one type of studio room, Riviera Resort offers up a second studio option perfect for couples and singles.
Situated in the towers of the resort buildings, these smaller studios give you the DVC experience without incurred prime costs.

Walt Disney Worlds Riviera Hotel Embodies A New Era For Disney Where Adults Are Catered To Just As Much As Children And Families
Walt Disney Worlds Riviera Hotel is the newest freestanding resort hotel to open at Disneys Orlando campus in seven long years. The Riviera is unlike ANY current Disney property resort my family and I have stayed at previously, in that Riviera is ostensibly straddling the line between catering to adults, while remaining a family friendly venue Disney is known for. Most current Disney resorts are a submersion of cartoon characters upon arrival, and while I visit Disney annually for the intention of being taken back to my childhood, Walt Disney Worlds Riviera Hotel plunges visitors instantly into the grandeur of old Europe, and combines that experience with a sizable pinch of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo.
A stunning tribute and intentional spotlight on Walt Disney himself is the steady pulse at Riviera. Every detail, right down to the dishes on the menus at this resorts dining venues, are takeaways from Walt and Lillian Disneys grand tour of Europe back in 1935. Disney fans will give pause when viewing the large collection of black and white photos of Walts sorties abroad arranged throughout Rivieras lobby area and lounge. The resorts layout is sumptuous and elegant. Thoughtful design nuances remind us of the man who came into our living rooms every Sunday night to tell heartening bedtime stories with his tales and characters and most brilliant imagination.
The service and food at Walt Disney Worlds Riviera Resort were outstanding.
