How To Store This Pudding Dessert

Leftovers can be saved for 3-4 days, but they usually dont last that long! Just store any leftover dessert in a covered container or bowl and give it a stir before serving again.

If you want the pudding to be extra firm place it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes before serving or piping into dessert cups.

How To Make This Easy Dessert Recipe

Not only is this an easy dessert recipe to make but you can make it all ahead of time! Pipe or spoon this pudding dessert into individual cups and keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve!

Start by making instant chocolate pudding and then folding it into crushed Oreo cookies. We use a food processor to get the cookies super fine, if you dont have one place the cookies in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to crush them into crumbs.

Once the pudding and cookies are combined you can fold in the whipped topping. Do this gently so that you dont deflate the topping as you stir. A gentle, folding action works best.

When deciding on what cupcake recipe to use, I knew that my favorite Devils Food Cake recipe from Stella Parks was the perfect base for the cupcake. Youll see that Ive used it for several of my other recipes like my Devils Food Oreo Cupcakes recipe or my Devils Food Chocolate Cupcakes with Speculoos Cookie Butter Frosting recipe. Its a simple, no fuss recipe that tastes way too good for how simple the recipe is!

And since I wanted to bring the magic of Disney home, I used the original recipe released by Disney for the Grey Stuff. Its a fairly simple recipe and just as tasty as eating it straight from the theme park. The only fancy bit of equipment that youll need for this portion of th recipe is a food processor.

    How To Serve And Store

Ways to serve: I really love the look of the piped grey stuff on a pretty plate. Its unique and eye catching, however, you can easily serve it in many other ways and pair it with other desserts. Here are a few ideas:

    • Pipe the grey stuff into individual cups such a s small clear plastic cups. Pretty tea cups would also be fun to use. Another idea is to use sturdy decorative cupcake liners
    • Pipe onto brownie squares, sugar cookies, or shortbread cookies.
    • Use it as a dip for cookies and other sweet treats.
    • Put a dollop on top of ice cream
    • Use the grey stuff as a filling for a cookie sandwich
    • Place in an oreo or graham cracker pie crust
    • Filling for cupcakes, donuts, and other desserts. Just keep them refrigerated.

Storage: This recipe is similar to our oreo dirt cake, which still tastes fantastic when made a day before serving. Be sure to cover the bowl and store in the fridge. Give it a nice mix before putting the grey stuff in a piping bag or serving bowl.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Though, at my house, its always eaten within a day or two!

What If I Dont Have A Food Processor

If you dont have a food processor, no worries. You can place the cookies in a large ziplock bag, seal it up, then take a rolling pin to roll over cookies until you get crumbs. Be careful to not press so hard that the bag tears. Ive used this method. It takes a little longer than the food processor, but still works!

Place Oreo Cookie crumbs and chilled chocolate pudding into a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.

Slowly fold in the Cool Whip topping. Use a large spoon and fold the chocolate into the whipped cream. Dont beat it, just gentle folds.

You get a creamy cookies and cream-like pudding dessert!
