Who Is A Split Stay In Orlando Best For
Overall, we think the pros of a split stay outweigh the cons. Anyone can make a split stay work, but generally we think it’s best for …
- People who would like to visit more than one resort
- People who want to experience as much of the resort hotels as they can on vacation
- Solo travelers, couples, smaller families and people traveling light
- Families with older children while it can be done with babies and toddlers, it will be more disruptive and there is more gear to move over, get set up, etc. Plus, older kids can help with the packing 🙂
- People planning longer stays this runs somewhat counter to the third bullet, as people staying longer usually have more luggage, but we think the shorter your stay, generally the more of a hassle transferring hotels becomes.

You Can Get Into The Theme Parks Early
As of Oct. 1, Disney Resort hotel guests can get into any of Disney Worlds four theme parks 30 minutes prior to the posted opening time every day. An extra 30 minutes may not sound like much, but you can knock out one or two headliners before other guests are even allowed through the gates.
The best way to maximize this benefit is to show up at the gates about 30 minutes prior to that days early theme park entry time, which you can find on Disneys weekly calendar. Youll want to allow 30 to 45 minutes of travel time from your hotel, too. It makes for an early morning, but low crowds also means the line for Starbucks probably wont be out the door.
A full list of participating hotels and which attractions will be open can be found on Disneys early theme park entry information page. A valid ticket and Park Pass reservation are required for early theme park entry.
