What Is The Best Disney World Park
This is another subjective question. Magic Kingdom has Cinderellas Castle and some of the most iconic rides and attractions. Hollywood Studios used to be a bit boring but with the addition of Star Wars Galaxys Edge and Toy Story Land, its now one the better themed parks. I personally love Animal Kingdom for the safari ride and the Avatar Flight of Passage ride. Many Americans love Epcot as its sort of a tour of the world without ever having to leave America.
Cost Of Fastpass & Maxpass At Disneyland
UPDATE: Genie+ and Lightning Lanes are coming to Disneyland in fall 2021. Details have not been announced, but we expect the system to be very similar to the old MaxPass system, just without the underlying FASTPASS system. This section will be updated once details of Genie+ at Disneyland are released.

- 1 Park Per Day Ticket just like it sounds: you can get into one theme park each day

Getting To And From The Airport
Disney has announced that their complimentary Magical Express transportation service will be discontinued in January of 2022.
Orlando International Airport is serviced by ride-hailing services including Lyft, Uber, and airport taxis.
Other transportation options include hotel shuttles and car rental services, with Alamo being our most recommended.
And next, as a replacement for Disneys Magical Express, Mears Connect will be offering shuttle service to the Disney Resort area beginning on January 1st of 2022.
Unlike Disneys Magical Express, Mears Connect isnt free, however.
Instead, there are two tiers of service: standard vs. express.
Standard service is a shared ride that makes a few stops en route to your hotel with waits of up to 20 minutes after checking in at the Mears reception area at the airport.
Express service provides a direct ride to your resort with no other stops and limited to no wait time.
You can find a list of current resorts that Mears Connect will pick up and drop off from, as well as pricing and the option to book your rides at Mears Connects site.
Additional planning tip: The resorts that Mears Connect services will appear in the drop-down menu when reserving. The list is expected to expand throughout 2022.

How Much Does A Disney World Ticket Cost Right Now
There is a lot to think about when planning your Disney World vacation, and one of the first things you need to purchase is park tickets.
Currently, Disney World is requiring that guests purchase both a valid theme park ticket and make a park pass reservationfor the park that they plan on visiting before they arrive. So, its now a two-step process to get into the parks, but just how much cash will you be shelling out for that ticket? Well, lets check it out!
Nowadays This Price Will Barely Get You A Cup Of Coffee
For most vacationers, a trip to Disney World is quite a special treat. And, yes, thats partly because of what a unique, magical theme park experience it is, for both kids and adults. But its also because park tickets are notoriously expensive.
And the cost seems especially staggering once you learn what the cost of a ticket used to be. Believe it or not, Walt Disney World is fast approaching its 50th anniversarythe park first debuted in 1971. How much would you have needed to fork over for a day at the park back then? Would these ways to save serious money on a Disney trip even have been necessary?
First, lets find out how much Disney World tickets cost today. That price can be difficult to keep track of because Disney World tends to raise its prices at least once a year. Plus, the prices are more complicated than they used to bewhen Disney World debuted, there was just the one park, Magic Kingdom. Now that there are multiple parks, you can buy a single-park ticket or a more expensive ticket that allows you to park-hop.
But, for the equivalent of what the first Disney World park-goers gotone day at just one parkyoull pay, at minimum, $109.
How does that compare to the cost of a ticket on opening day? Well, brace yourself, because it was cheap. Very cheap. The first-ever Disney World park ticket, back in 1971, cost $3.50.

How Much Will Disney World Hotels Cost
Unless you live nearby or get an Airbnb rental, you will need to stay at a hotel in or around Disney World.
The question then becomes, should you stay on-property at a Disney-owned hotel or should you save a few bucks and stay off-property?
One thing you should know is that non-Disney, off-property hotels are usually cheaper, but staying at one doesnt necessarily mean youll save money by so.
When you factor in the extra money youll spend on transportation, the extra time traveling to and from the theme parks every day, and missing out on Extra Magic Hours, free airport transportation, and the other perks Disney hotel guests receive, is it really worth it? We would argue no.
Walt Disney World has three tiers of on-property hotels: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. As you may have guessed, Disney Value Resorts are the least expensive , Deluxe Resorts are the most expensive , and Disney Worlds Moderate Resorts are somewhere in the middle.
Disney Deluxe Resorts tend to be closer to the theme parks and have bigger rooms, and better pools and restaurants.
The rooms of Disney Value Resorts are smaller, transportation is mostly via bus , and the restaurants are more like food courts. That said, Value Resorts are great for families and budget-conscious travelers because they are affordable and situation you inside Disney World.
If you want an upgrade from Value but dont want to drop an arm and a leg, check out the Disney Moderate Resorts. They are really nice!

Since youll have to buy your tickets directly from Disney for the best price, the only way to save is to buy your tickets with discount Disney gift cards learn how to get them in this post.

Will The Disney Dining Plan Save You Money
The amount you spend on dining at Disney World will depend on the level of dining plan you choose, the time of year you visit Disney, and package deals.
Disney typically offers a short-term promotion that includes free dining when families book their hotel packages. The promotion is wildly popular and does sell out quickly, so you might want to speak with your Disney travel agent about if and when the promotion will be offered.
If you plan on eating at a lot of Table Services restaurants, then one of the more inclusive Disney Dining Plans will probably be your best bet, especially if you do plan on ordering an alcoholic beverage with your meal. One of the less expensive dining plan options should be more than sufficient for a typical family . And if you are a light eater or dont drink alcohol, then paying out-of-pocket may work out to be the cheapest option. It just really depends on what you plan on ordering and which restaurants you wish to go to.
Transportation From The Orlando Airport
If you are arriving in Orlando by plane, you need to figure out a way to get from the airport to your hotel. Your options will depend on whether or not you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or not.
Staying On-Site: If you are staying at a Disney World hotel, your options are limited compared to what they once were. Disneys Magical Express has been discontinued which means Disney no longer offers a free shuttle service to the resorts.
As a replacement, you can take the Mears Connect Shuttle from the airport, but it isnt free. For One-Way transportation, it costs $16 per adult and $13.50 per child. For Round Trip service it is $32 per adult and $27 per child.
If that doesnt interest you, you can use one of the transportation suggestions for staying off-site listed below.
Staying Off-Site: This one is more complicated and it depends what your plans are for your trip. You can rent a car, take a taxi, or use a ride-sharing program like Uber or Lyft. Obviously, these all cost money and are not ideal if you are on a strict budget.
- Taxis are by far the more expensive choice and will cost around $50-$60 each way plus tip depending on where you are going.
- Uber is a much cheaper option and will cost between $25-$30 each way.
Some off-site hotels offer free shuttle service to and from the Orlando International Airport, so make sure to ask when booking your room.

Disney World Cost Calculator: Lodging
Lodging is a big determinant of your Disney vacation cost calculator.
Quite honestly, this is where you can either spend or save a huge chunk of money.
There are literally a ton of options when it comes to Orlando accommodation options, and prices can range from $100 a night to $800 a night or more.
Your individual selection will come down to your budget, space requirements, location, and availability.
Hotel accommodations are available in the following four categories:

Water Park & Sports Option
This option adds special visits to water parks and smaller attractions to your park tickets. Each visit can be one of the following:
- admission to Blizzard Beach water park
- admission to Typhoon Lagoon water park
- admission to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens
- round of mini golf at Winter Summerland
- round of golf at Oak Trail family walking course
The extra cost on top of a Base Ticket is a flat $74.55, for any length of ticket.
The number of visits you get with the Water Park & Sports option is equal to the number of park days on the ticket. A 1-Day ticket has both 1-day of major park admission and 1 visit, a 3-Day ticket has both 3 days of major park admission and 3 visits, and so forth. This is an incentive to buy the longer passes, so that youll get more visits for your money.
When you add the Water Parks & Sports option to a Base ticket, it extends the validity length of the ticket by one day. That doesnt add any park admission days, but does give you one extra day to use all your park days and special water park & sports visits. For example, a 7-day ticket normally is valid for a 10-day span, but adding Water Parks & Sports makes it valid for an 11-day span.
The chart below has the prices for all tickets with Water Park & Sports. You can also compare all of the ticket options on our full chart of all regular Walt Disney World ticket prices.
