Yachtsman Steakhouse At Disneys Yacht Club Resort
The final selection here is my pick as the best steakhouse at Walt Disney World, a title which matters to me. Iâm not saying that they serve the absolute best steak on the Disney campus, a topic for another day, but the food is consistently top-notch, which it has to be.
Disney uses this restaurant as a place where businesspeople meet to talk shop. Major League Baseballâs winter meetings are sometimes held at the hotel, which leads to some hilarious cast member stories about team GMs dumping their drinks over an insulting trade offer.
The Yachtsman Steakhouse is intended to be the elite steakhouse at Walt Disney World, an honor I believe the restaurant has earned.

Best Hollywood Studios Restaurants
The Hollywood Brown Derby
Inspired by the iconic derby hat-shaped Brown Derby restaurant in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant at Hollywood Studios proudly boasts the same décor and even some of the same dishes as the original restaurant. Caricatures of celebrities, such as Charlie Chaplin and John Wayne, decorate the walls. The famous Cobb salad created by the owner of the original Brown Derby restaurant, Bob Cobb is still served up every single day at the Hollywood Brown Derby, alongside the classic grapefruit cake.
If this Disney restaurant is catching your eye, be sure to make reservations in advance, because it gets booked up quickly!
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
One of the best restaurants at Disney World in terms of atmosphere is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. Inspired by the drive-in movies of the 1940s and 50s, guests at this Disney restaurant sit in vintage car replicas while watching popular, old movie clips. It is important to note that not everyone gets seated in car! So if that is a must for your Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant experience , be sure to ask for a car before you are seated.
Mama Melroses Ristorante Italiano
While there are many places to eat at Hollywood studios, Mama Melroses Ristorante Italiano has proven to be a crowd favorite. Everyone loves Italian food, and the food this Disney restaurant is no exception to that rule.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Best Disney Character Dining Experiences
Do you want a side of Mickey or Cinderella with your bacon and eggs? Thats usually no problem, but itll cost you.
Having a Disney World annual pass, DVC membership or similar may lighten the bill at our favorite character meals, but there are no two ways around it: Disney World character meals are expensive.

Guide To The Best Restaurants At Disney World 2022
December 2022 Update: It is important to know when planning your next Disney trip that some experiences may be different or modified. Disney is currently working to reopen all experiences that were closed prior to his latest round of restaurant closures. Please note that you may also have to wear a mask when not eating or drinking while indoors.
Some of the restaurant experiences at Walt Disney World might be modified. Be sure to speak with a Disney cast member if you have any questions!
Which Disney World Restaurants Are Open
Right now Walt Disney World is still in the middle of a phased reopening, which means that not all of the restaurants are currently operating. With limited capacity, there arent enough guests at this time to fill the 400+ restaurants on the resorts property.
To see which restaurants are currently open and all the changes, read our Guide to Disney World Dining During Reopening.

Best Restaurant In Animal Kingdom: Tusker House
This was a tough call, as we have a few Animal Kingdom options we like roughly the same. But well give Tusker House the slight edge over Tiffins for the fun of the character sightings in cool costumes.
Tusker House currently has a set menu for its safari-themed character dining option. Its a bit on the pricey side , but you get a lot of food as in a too much for one person amount of food.
Youll get a salad and bread plate as starters, a large sampler of Moroccan-spiced beef, curry shrimp, split-roasted herb chicken and pork for your entree, and a dessert trio platter for dessert.
The shrimp and rice dish was easily the best of the entrees, but the entire meal was tasty. Out of the desserts, the brownie was a favorite.
You can order an assortment of cocktails , beers, wines and ciders at an additional cost.
Tusker House also offers a breakfast character dining option at a slightly discounted price compared to lunch and dinner $42 per adult and $27 per child, plus taxes and tip.
Keep in mind that character sightings at dinner are socially distanced, and guests are given a pre-printed postcard with autographs instead of having characters sign items at the restaurant.
Our Criteria For Ranking The Best Resort Dining At Disney World
When it came to ranking the best resort restaurants at Disney World, there were a few things we kept in mind. Food quality is huge, but we also prefer spots with a wide variety of dishes and more unique options. This is Walt Disney World, so a well-developed theme can make a restaurant a must, as can an unbeatable atmosphere.
Disney vacations are expensive enough as it is and the last thing we want to do is spend a massive amount of money on a meal that you could easily get somewhere else or that is too small to really satisfy. And although youll be hard-pressed to find a cheap restaurant at Disney World, there are plenty of dining options that make the overpriced dishes worthwhile. Finally, whether with character dining or special experiences that arent offered elsewhere in the sprawling Central Florida resort, we love a restaurant that oozes Disney magic.

Jiko The Cooking Place
- Cost: $$$
- Type of Food: African
Time and time again, Jiko stays firmly in our Top 10 restaurants at Disney World, this time making it all the way up to #3. Some restaurants are more flashy with a cooler theme. Some have incredible views and wow you with fireworks shows. Jiko might not have those, but everything it does, it does exceptionally well.
Jikos menu is inspired by the vast cuisines found throughout Africa and it is by far the most exotic of all the Disney signature restaurants. You are not going to find a burger and fries on the menu, but you will find some of the most flavorful and inspired dishes anywhere.
In all our years of coming to Jiko, not once have we ever walked away being disappointed with our meal. That counts for a lot as most of the other top Disney World restaurants have disappointed us at least once. Do not miss out on one of the best Disney dining experiences.
What to Get: The Taste of Africa bread service is up there with the one from Sanaa, and the flatbreads here are legendary. The lamb is the best weve ever had anywhere, and the short rib is also not to be missed. Even though you wont find it on the menu, the filet mignon with mac and cheese is one of our favorite Disney entrees of all-time. Its life-changing! Make sure you enjoy it with one of the many South African wines they have in the cellar.

- Type of Food: Japanese, Steakhouse, Sushi
Best Disney Table Service Dining
California Grill California Grill is an unbeatable combination of scenic vistas and a very good table service restaurant at the top of Disneys Contemporary Resort. It also has a very impressive wine list.
Grand Floridian Cafe With so many good dining options available at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Grand Floridian Cafe often gets overlooked. Dont get swayed by the hype, this one is worth a reservation .
Takumi-Tei Epcot is flush with excellent dining options, but one of the very best is also one of the very newest. Takumi-Tei is truly an upscale dining experience. Service and culinary offerings here rival Victoria & Alberts. From Japanese steak to seafood, dining here is an experience that you will be hard pressed to match anywhere else at Walt Disney World.
Citricos Citricos is a good choice for upscale dining at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It is a notch above the Grand Floridian Cafe on the price scale and opulence and offers better fare than Narcoossees .
Le Cellier Steakhouse Anyone craving a good steak dinner at Walt Disney World should look no further than Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot. But it doesnt just stop with steak. Youll find mouth watering seafood, chicken, wild game, soups and more.
Monsieur Paul If French Cuisine is something you adore, then Monsieur Paul in the France Pavilion at Epcot is a great choice. This one is on the upper end of the price scale, but both the food and the ambiance are quite good.

Topolinos Terrace Flavors Of The Riviera
- Cost: $$$
- Type of Food: Italian, French
Yet another new restaurant make the Top 10 at Disney World, and Topolinos Terrace checks all the boxes you want to see in s signature dining experience. We are continuing the theme of restaurants with a view and Topolinos may be the best of them all.
The difference between this and the previous two is here there is a gorgeous outdoor terrace where you can wait with a drink or take some photos. We could watch the sunset from here every night and never get tired of it.
The restaurant is reminiscent of a Mediterranean cliffside and features a well-balanced mix of French and Italian cuisine with seafood, meats, and handmade pasta on the menu. Both breakfast and dinner are exceptional, but our preference is the latter. However, this also happens to be our favorite character meal when you come for breakfast so dont miss that.
What to Get: It may sound strange, but get the root bisquetrust us on this one. The gnocchi or ricotta are also mind-blowing appetizers. Any of the pastas are excellent, but we are partial to the shrimp scampi with linguine. Our favorite item on the menu is the Tomahawk Veal Chop with Potato-Torpedo Onion Gratin, truly special! For dessert, Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake with a caramel center simply cant be beat!
Is it Kid-Friendly?: Yes. While you can bring your kids here for any meal you like, they will enjoy the character breakfast the most and its a great place to meet Mickey and Minnie.
Wolfgang Puck Bar And Grill
Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill is my last table service recommendation for the best Disney Spring restaurants. If you are leaning toward Italian cuisine, this is more than likely where youll want to secure a reservation.
Location: West Side
Type: Signature Dining
The menu at Wolfgang Puck boasts California cuisine with Mediterranean influences. Youll find items here like calamari, pizza, pasta, steak, and seafood.
Fans of this celebrity chef will surely enjoy a meal here. However, if you arent that familiar with the famous chef, Disney+ has a new documentary out thats really worth a movie night, called Wolfgang.
Our next stop transitions from table-service to quick-service dining at Disney Springs. The Polite Pig is a contemporary barbecue joint, but you probably already picked up on that from the name, right?
Location: Town Center
Type: Counter Service
Ive had the pleasure of eating at The Polite Pig several times over the past few years. And while Im probably a harsher critic of their menu than most, I couldnt leave it off of our best Disney Springs restaurants.
Below is their cedar-planked salmon with two market sides. You can probably tell theres a lot of food involved. So you might want to consider sharing something depending on your level of hunger.
I recommend you read our full review of The Polite Pig here for help deciding whether you should share a meal or not.

Wine Bar George / The Basket
Trade in those mouse ears for a Malbec, the roller coasters for a Chenin Blanc. Wine Bar George offers 140+ pours by the ounce, glass and bottle, from pocket-friendly on-tap labels to the elusive stuff youve been yearning to taste for years. Yes, maybe even Chateau dYquem. No wonder why the World of Fine Wine said WBG has the worlds best micro wine list. Food is taken just as seriously at this chef-driven Napa-style wine bar. The Santa Carota short ribs, for example, start with meat from cattle who first graze leisurely amid the grassy lands of Bakersfield, California, then eat mostly carrots. Its Chef Ron Rupert who prepares that beef with mashed red potatoes and caramelized vegetables. Even grab ‘n’ go is above par here: The Basket, located outside the front door, impresses with a sandwich of goat cheese, fig, arugula and ficelle, and box of chorizo, manchego, almonds and crackers.
Morimoto Asia At Disney Springs
Speaking of iconic chefs, Masaharu Morimoto first earned his reputation as the executive chef at the world-famous Nobu. He would later become the most decorated Iron Chef ever on first the Japanese version of the show and then the American one that still airs on the Food Network.
A master of ramen and other peasant food, Chef Morimoto has elevated his dishes to the height of culinary flavor. Youâll feel like youâre sampling ambrosia when you dine here.
And Morimoto isnât even the only reality chef champion involved. Former Top Chef winner Hung Hunyh is the current chef de cuisine. Youre eating a meal fit for champions at Chef Morimoto.

You can get good food pretty much everywhere in Walt Disney World. But certain restaurants go to infinity and beyond in that department. There are hundreds of fantastic restaurants on property, but these are nine fine/signature restaurants in WDW that are a cut above.
1. Victoria and Alberts
This exclusive restaurant is the cream of the crop. The waitlist for reservations can be insane if youre not proactive about it. Seated regally in the already elegant Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Victoria and Alberts has an exclusive menu of high-quality American cuisine. It has been a AAA Five Diamond Award recipient since 2000. For an even more romantic experience, try the Queen Victoria Room or the Chefs table! Just make sure you bring your best credit card
2. Jiko The Cooking Place
Having dinner at Jiko is an experience. This remarkable Cooking Place is tucked away in Animal Kingdom Lodge. The interior of Jiko looks like the African savannah, its back wall changing color as the sun would set. The food is all authentic African cuisine. Theres also wine and beer to help you wind down after the Avatar experience. This place is not only a yummy quick-service selection but also a good choice if youre trying to eat healthy while at Disney World.
