Most Luxurious Disney World Resort

Disneys Art Of Animation Resort

Disney World’s Most Expensive Hotels

With hotel areas themed to “Finding Nemo,””The Little Mermaid,””The Lion King,” and “Cars,”Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is ideal for families with young kids . This Value resort offers great bang for your buck guests can take advantage of bus and Skyliner transportation to the theme parks, plus several pools. Family suites themed to the above Disney and Pixar animated movies can sleep up to six guests, so the whole family can spread out and relax after days of riding Space Mountain and waving to Mickey Mouse.

Polynesian Village Resort Ambassador Suite

The Polynesian Village Resort is one of Disneys original opening day hotels, and its delivered a bit of South Seas ambiance to the Orlando resort for 50 years. The Polynesian has received upgrades over the decades, but recently underwent a major renovation that brought the magic of Disneys Moana to the resort. Its also super close to Magic Kingdom, has one of the best pools on property and serves up copious amounts of Dole Whip .

The Polynesians Ambassador Suite was pixie-dusted with the same Moana touches as the rest of the resort, but its subtle. Think Maui as part of a lampshade pattern and characters hidden in colorful paintings on the wall. Youll also find wood floors, natural wood furnishings and pops of tropical colors and patterns.

There are two bedrooms one with a king bed and one with two queens and each has a full bath with a separate tub and shower. Up to eight adults can stay in this suite if you use the convertible sleeper sofa in the living area. The living space also houses a kitchenette with Nespresso coffee maker. What really blew me away about this suite was all the storage . The beds were elevated for suitcase stowage and there were ample closets and shelving. It was an overpacking moms dream.

Best Disney Hotel If You Win The Lottery

If you come across a stash of money that you are willing to spend on your Disney World accommodations, youll want to consider Copper Creek Cabins. These cabins are located at the Wilderness Lodge, but thinking of them as cabins is really selling them short. More accurately, these are akin to little high-end homes you can rent on Disney property.

Expect to spend a couple of grand per night on Copper Creek cabins, but in return you get two bedrooms, an epic living room with fireplace, full kitchen and an epic screened-in outdoor living area with a private hot tub and piped in fireworks music each evening.

Disneys Port Orleans Resort

This resort sits squarely in the Moderate category and, in fact, has yet to reopen at all after the pandemic closure. Its big and spread out, with more than 3,000 rooms combined across the French Quarter and Riverside areas. The French Quarter theme will remind folks of New Orlean, and fans of The Princess and the Frog will enjoy seeing Tiana in some guest rooms.

These resorts originally opened in the early 1990s, and though theyve been updated since, the rooms are still on the smaller side. Port Orleans has pools on both sides of the resort and youll also find horse-drawn carriages along the river. But neither have the sorts of activities that can keep kids occupied when youre not in the parks. The restaurants here are also focused on quick service.

Some folks love the charm of Port Orleans. But for the price, wed choose a Value resort over this Moderate resort.

Disneys Beach Club Resort And Yacht Club Resort

The biggest reason to stay at Disneys Beach Club Resort is in the name. The Beach and Yacht Clubs shared 3-acre waterpark, Stormalong Bay, is a favorite among families.

With that amazing pool complex, you really dont even have to leave your hotel for a day of water fun. A ticket to one of Disneys awesome water parks normally starts around $70 , but visiting Stormalong Bay instead can help justify the room rates here.

Older kids can climb the shipwreck and slide 230 feet into the plunge pool, while younger kids will have no problem navigating the zero-entry pool from the beach just outside the hotel. And, there are three other pools scattered across the grounds, too. Disneys Yacht Club shares these amenities with Beach Club.

Pros: The resort feels transportive, with beautiful landscaping and design details such as cobblestone streets, wrought-iron balconies, and the scent of magnolia blossoms permeating the air. The food is New Orleans inspired so make sure to indulge in a bowl of gumbo or spicy jambalaya.

Cons: The resort is pretty big, so it might be a long walk to your room. Since the bus is the main transportation option, it can be challenging to get around.

Channel the soul of New Orleans’s historic French Quarter at this sprawling Disney resort themed after the Big Easy. There are festive Mardi Gras touches throughout the property from party beads to the jazz music wafting through the public spaces, and even the scent of magnolia blossoms.

On-site amenities steal the show. Adults will love Scat Cat’s Club Lounge serving Crawfish Étouffée, Mickey-shaped beignets, and Southern-inspired cocktails, while the expansive pool complex with a water slide is a winner with kids.

What Is The Best Disney Resort For Families

It really depends on what is most important for your family. If your children are animal lovers, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a good option. If your kids spend a large amount of time in the pool, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside and Disney’s Beach Club, both have 3.5-acre mini water parks.

I am partial to the Riviera since most of the rooms are suites with plenty of room for the whole family, as well as lovely pools, a character breakfast, and the Skyliner, which will make for easy transportation around the park.

    Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort

The 10 Most Expensive Disney Park Hotels

Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort is a stunning location that is next to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter, with the two being a short walk apart, although Riverside is slightly more expensive, at $285 per-night on average. Riverside is themes to the bayou of New Orleans, with two very distinct areas at this location, with one being classed as the mansions and the other being the alligator bayou, which is more covered by trees.

Also being located with a river running through, offering serenity and boat trips to Disney Springs, this is a fantastic location that is well worth the price.

    Disney’s Art Of Animation Resort

    Best for: Families

On-site amenities: 3 pools, playground, restaurant, pool bar

Pros: The theming here is strong, in particular in the suites and pools, which makes things even more fun for families. Another big perk of staying here is that the Disney Skyliner stops at the resort, which is a very efficient way to get around.

Cons: This hotel has limited dining and drinking establishments and the style of the hotel is geared towards children, so it may not be a fit for a couple on an adult vacation.

The Art of Animation resort, one of the more affordable, budget-friendly options within Walt Disney World resorts pays homage to the colorful characters of Disney and Pixar movies.

Themed rooms and suites are modeled after movies such as “The Little Mermaid,” “The Lion King,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Cars.” Rooms and grounds are a bit more standard and bare-bones and not as immersive or luxurious as other Disney properties. However, you’ll still enjoy prime Disney perks, especially being adjacent to the Disney Skyline, making this a good option for those who want easy access to the parks but don’t have the added budget to splurge on an expensive resort.

    COVID-19 procedures are available here.

    Disney’s Beach Club Resort

A standard view room at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will cost $580 on average, and is one of the more expensive options for accommodation on Disney property, but it does provide some fantastic benefits.

One of those is the incredible swimming pool area that this resort has, which is one of the best on Disney property and even has sand underneath in order to make guests feel like they’re in the sea. From here, guests are just walking distance to EPCOT, and a short boat journey away from Hollywood Studios, making it one of the most conveniently located resort available.
