Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Are These the 3 BEST Hotels in Disney World?

With a standard room having an average price of $270, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort falls under the ‘moderate’ category by Disney and is an incredibly popular destination for guests traveling to Disney World.

This is a huge resort that provides some stunning views due to the huge lake in the middle, with the hotel being broken up into different islands which all have their own small swimming pools, with one big one for everyone to share in the middle. This resort has recently had some major upgrades with greater dining being added due to the fact that Disney’s Skyliner has a stop here, which is another benefit to going.

Disney’s All Star Movies Resort

The All Star Movies Resort is a celebration of Walt Disney films. Toy Story, Fantasia, 101 Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks, and the Love Bug are all portrayed in colorful, larger-than-life figurines. This resort has a variety of entertainment options and is a short bus ride to the Animal Kingdom.

Pros: all of the amenities are in close proximity to the rooms so that eliminates longer walks around the resort, the food court has a lot of options, kids love the theming, great price

Cons: bus transportation here tends to be challenging with longer wait and multiple stops to get to and from the resort, busses are typically shared between all the value resorts and the All Star Movies resort is the last stop, as a value resort there are no water slides, hot tub or table service restaurant

Starting at just $119 per night, the Disney All Star Movies resort is is the cheapest Disney World resort on our list.

The Benefits of Staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel ...

Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort is a stunning location that is next to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter, with the two being a short walk apart, although Riverside is slightly more expensive, at $285 per-night on average. Riverside is themes to the bayou of New Orleans, with two very distinct areas at this location, with one being classed as the mansions and the other being the alligator bayou, which is more covered by trees.

Also being located with a river running through, offering serenity and boat trips to Disney Springs, this is a fantastic location that is well worth the price.

Walt Disney World Moderate Hotel Reviews

Caribbean Beach Resort Review Its been a while since weve stayed here and weve been meaning to go back . This moderate resort is massive and like Pop Century, its very spread out. This makes the busing system not great. This is the oldest of the moderate resorts so it tends to have bigger rooms. The price difference between this resort and a Value Resort isnt much, thus people tend to upgrade to this resort. Its certainly not our favorite Moderate Resort, the food court is okay and the theming is fun? Were not quite sure about it but the kids dont mind because of the pirate-themed rooms. This resort has recently gone under a major refurb so you may be lucky enough to sleep in a newly renovated room . We probably wont until the new Disney Skyliner is finished which will service this hotel. This will improve the busing system here we think and make this hotel a bit more valuable.

Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort Review Love the great outdoors? Fishing, boating and living among the trees your thing? Then this is the place for you! The cabins are pretty nice and can hold a larger family . They actually do a good job at making you feel like youve rented a cabin . Its homey and outdoorsy. Its one of the most unique feelings at Walt Disney World considering youre staying at the largest resort in the world. Plus Magic Kingdom is right across the lake! Stays here are great but be aware that the busing system isnt.

The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Walt Disney World Resorts Tier List – All WDW hotels ranked!!

Best for: Families, couples, extended families

On-site amenities: 2 pools, beach, spa, salon, shop, fitness facilities, bars, gourmet restaurants, casual dining

Pros: This iconic resort is close to the Magic Kingdom and is one of the most luxurious hotels in all of Walt Disney World. Staying here is highly memorable.

Cons: The hotel is sophisticated and may not be a match if you looking for something more akin to your children’s style. If you don’t plan on spending much time at the hotel, this might not be worth it since it is more expensive that most other resorts.

The most regal of all the Walt Disney World resorts, the Grand Floridian Resort reflects Victorian elegance and lavish style. As such, it’s also expensive. But despite being a luxury property, it still can cater to families, weddings, and couples looking for a romantic escape.

Inspired by the legendary Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California, this sophisticated resort features a majestic lobby, manicured grounds, a white-sand beach, a spa, and is just one stop away from the Magic Kingdom on the Monorail. The resort is also home to the award-winning Victoria & Albert’s, considered to be one of the finest dining experiences in central Florida. I am also a big fan of the relatively new Enchanted Rose, a whimsical “Beauty and the Beast” themed bar in the main building.

Important Note About Driving

If you have a car at Disney World, you may find the moderate resorts significantly more tolerable, as there tends to be parking available near each building. You will have to pay the hotel parking fee , but you will get free parking at the parks.

Before we dive into each hotel, I want to provide a really quick synopsis based on what we just discussed. You can honestly sort through these four really quickly:

  • Port Orleans French Quarter – Smallest moderate, good transportation , average rooms, can walk to Riverside easily

  • Port Orleans Riverside – Very large, mix of old and average rooms, bad transportation

  • Coronado Springs – Best rooms, most dining options, but bad transportation and a convention hotel vibe

  • Caribbean Beach – Average rooms, large, new main building and dining options, okay transportation
