Standard self-parking is STILL complimentary at the Disney Springs area. Parking is available in surface parking lots and in 3 parking garages with direct access to Disney Springs.
Valet parking is also available at Disney Springs for a flat rate of $20 per day . Payment will be collected at the time of pick-up, and gratuity is not included in the cost.

Disney Resort And Hotel Guest Get Free Parking During Their Stay
I know that the Disney Resorts might cost a little more but there are additional perks for those guests who book their stay at one of the Hotels or Resorts in Disney World. Any guest staying at these locations automatically get free parking to any of the Disney World parks during their visit. Just show your Hotel ID at the main entrance and the parking attendant will give you a free pass for that day. Since you are staying at one of the Disney Resorts, you might consider leaving your car in the parking lot and taking one of the many types of Disney Transportation instead. Driving in Orlando can be very frustrating if you are not familiar with the layout.

What To Expect On The Toll Roads
Venturing off Disney property with a car?
Florida is full of toll roads. Many of the direct routes to Walt Disney World require you to pay a small fee.
The toll roads around Disney World use the SunPass system.
Unless you have your own SunPass transponder , you will want to be prepared with change to pay your tolls .
If you are driving your own car and you have a transponder for the turnpike system in your area, make sure you check to see if your local toll system works with SunPass.
Toll booths may be unmanned. Having exact change is absolutely necessary if you will be going down any toll roads.

A Guide To Parking Prices And Options At Walt Disney World
Parking at Walt Disney World is a necessity for many guests. Whether youre driving to Orlando, or youre renting a car, its good to know what to expect when parking at Walt Disney World. There are a few options for the type of parking available, and prices do change about once a year. Heres a quick guide to parking, including prices and options, at Walt Disney World.
Renting A Car For Walt Disney World
The most obvious way to rent a car for Walt Disney World is to rent from an agency at Orlando International Airport. Weve never done this . We generally use Kayak for rentals, but weve recently had good experience with car-sharing over at Turo.
Alternatively, you might want to rent a car from an agency on Disney property. This is especially worth considering if you just want a car for a short period to go off-property. We highly recommend checking out this MouseSavers list of rental options at Walt Disney World. That list is good for spots at Walt Disney World.

Are Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Available At Disney Resorts
At present, Walt Disney World promotes ChargePoint stations at just two Resorts.
- Disneys Coronado Springs Resort has six spaces near Gran Destino Towers bus stop.
- Disneys Wilderness Lodge has two stations near the handicap parking spaces and lobby.
Additionally, some Resorts have wall outlets available for charging. Youll likely need to supply your own cable as these are standard wall outlets not designated ChargePoint stations.
- Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Timon level of the parking garage
- Fort Wilderness Cabins
- Old Key West, villa buildings
- Dolphin Resort, near valet
To use ChargePoint stations, guests need a credit card or a pre-ordered ChargePointcard. The cost is $0.35 per kilowatt hour with a minimum charge of $1.50. ChargePoint stations stop charging when the battery is fully charged, and drivers receive a ping when their car is ready.
How Do You Pay For Parking At Disney World
When it comes to paying for parking at any of the theme parks, all you need to do is drive up to the booth at the main entrance of the parking lot and wait for a Disney cast member to come over and great you with a smile.
Then, they will ask you how you would like to park either, standard or preferred. You can pay with cash or debit/credit card. Once you pay, the attendant will give you a receipt that you can put on your dashboard. Once you leave the booth, there are signs and parking attendants that will direct you to where you need to park.

Keep in mind, there is a separate parking area for those with disabilities. Also, there are complimentary wheelchairs located near the parking area, that you can use until you get inside the park. If there are no wheelchairs visible, then look for a Disney Cast Member who can assist you.
Remember, when you enter the theme park, you must exchange that wheelchair for another one, because that wheelchair, usually with a long pole, is designed for helping guests around the parking areas only.

Disney World Parking Costs Are Insane
Parking rates at Disney World change on a regular basis, but currently, Disney charges the following rates to park at the four major Florida theme parks.
Standard parking costs $25 per day, but it isnt exactly convenient. Depending on where you park in the lot, youll either have to take a tram or a long walk to the theme park entrance.
Oversize vehicle parking for RVs, shuttles, limos, campers, buses or tractor-trailers cost a little bit more at $30 per day.
Preferred parking is $45 to $50 per day. It costs more because it is located closer to the theme park entrances. Essentially, you pay more so you dont have to walk as far or take a tram to the park entrance.
I do see how this could benefit families with small children or families on a tight schedule, but $45 to $50 is crazy talk to me just to park your car. A four day trip to Disney World would cost you $180 to $200 just in preferred parking costs alone.
Sadly, Disney doesnt even offer a discount if you arrive late in the day. For instance, the Disney parking cost after 6 pm is the same as if you arrived bright and early in the morning.
While Disney didnt use to charge you to park in their hotel/resort parking lots as a resort guest, they do now.
The fees range from $15 to $25 per night for self-parking depending on the resort you stay at.
One place Disney doesnt charge for parking is at their water parks, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.
Standard parking is also free for Disney World Annual Passholders.
Are There Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Available At The Disney Theme Parks
A number of ChargePoint charging stations are available in parking lots at all four theme parks.
- Magic Kingdom: Five spaces one space at the front of the Medical Parking Lot and four spaces at the front of the Zurg Parking Lot
- Epcot: Four stations in the Journey Parking Lot
- Disneys Hollywood Studios: four spaces at the front of the Mickey Parking Lot
- Animal Kingdom: Four stations in the Medical Parking Lot

Will The Disney Dining Plan Save You Money
The amount you spend on dining at Disney World will depend on the level of dining plan you choose, the time of year you visit Disney, and package deals.
Disney typically offers a short-term promotion that includes free dining when families book their hotel packages. The promotion is wildly popular and does sell out quickly, so you might want to speak with your Disney travel agent about if and when the promotion will be offered.
If you plan on eating at a lot of Table Services restaurants, then one of the more inclusive Disney Dining Plans will probably be your best bet, especially if you do plan on ordering an alcoholic beverage with your meal. One of the less expensive dining plan options should be more than sufficient for a typical family . And if you are a light eater or dont drink alcohol, then paying out-of-pocket may work out to be the cheapest option. It just really depends on what you plan on ordering and which restaurants you wish to go to.
Florida Theme Park Parking Prices 2021
Most of the large theme parks make a separate charge for car parking and with many of them charging up to $26 per day, it soon adds up. See our theme park parking price table below.
One of the advantages of staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels is that guests do not have to pay for standard parking at the Disney parks but you do now have to pay a nightly parking charge at your Disney resort hotel.
You can also often get free parking and reduced preferred parking with some of the annual pass holders deals but it varies by park and type of annual pass.
When park hopping at Walt Disney World you only have to pay for parking once each day.

Parking Prices At Walt Disney World
Its an annoying additional cost that can add up. Parking at all four Walt Disney World theme parks is charged per day. You can park hop if you have park hopping privileges on your ticket, and you do not pay for parking again that same day.
- Preferred parking $45-$50 per day depending on seasonality
- Standard parking: car or motorcycle $25 per day
- Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer $30 per day
Sales tax is included in the above parking prices. Annual passholders received complimentary standard parking. Passholders receive a discount on preferred parking. They can pay the difference between standard parking and preferred parking.
Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels receive complimentary parking at the theme parks. They do, however, have to pay for parking at their hotel. Parking prices vary by hotel class:
- Disney Value Resorts $15 per night
- Disney Moderate Resorts $20 per night
- Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts $25 per night
Disney Vacation Club Members are not charged for resort parking when staying at a Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Villa or Resort Hotel using their Vacation Points.
Parking is free at both of Walt Disney Worlds water parks. Standard parking is free at Disney Springs, with valet parking available for $20 gratuity is not included in the price. There are three valet parking locations for Disney Springs:
Alternatives To Having A Car At Disney World
Free transportation provided by Disney and/or your hotel
Uber / Lyft / Minnie Vans
Personally, we draw the line at rental car costs, and we very rarely drive to Magic Kingdom from the hotels. When we have access to a car in Florida, well use it for Disney World trips. We find the hotel parking costs to be worth the convenience of getting to Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios, along with any meals at other hotels.
But if wed have to pay for a rental car, we just dont find it to be worth it. If you use Uber/Lyft or Minnie Vans for urgent transportation and just bite the bullet with free transportation otherwise, youll usually be able to find a sweet spot of convenience and price.

Tip : Bring Your Toddlers
Many of my friends have said they’re waiting until their children get older before bringing them to Disney. As the mother of a 2-year-old, I say there’s nothing like enjoying the present. Not only do children under 3 get in free, there is so much for them to see, do and enjoy. The teacups, Dumbo, It’s A Small World, the parades, the character meet-and-greetsthese are all truly magical in the eyes of a toddler.
Where Is The Parking At Disney World
There are separate parking lots for each of the four theme parks at Disney World: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
The parking lots at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom are directly adjacent to the theme parks. You can walk from your car to the front entrance of the park or take the free trams.
The Magic Kingdom parking lot is located across the Seven Seas Lagoon from the theme park at what is known as the Transportation and Ticket Center .
It is NOT possible to walk to Magic Kingdom from the parking lots you must take the monorail or a large ferry boat from the TTC to get to the front entrance
I suggest planning for 20-30 minutes to get from your car to the front entrance to Magic Kingdom via monorail or ferry. Trams are also available to bring you to the TTC from your car.

Disney Resort Parking Fee Details
Parking fees have long been standard practice at many Orlando resorts, including the Swan and Dolphin and Universal resorts. While I am sad that the trend continues at Disney, Ill show you a few ways you can avoid the fee below.
The fee depends on the category of your resort. Here is the Disney Resort Parking fee for 2020 based on where you stay:
- Value Resorts: $15/night
- Deluxe Resorts: $25/night
Parking fees include tax and are charged to your room at checkout.
If you arrive via Magical Express you wont be charged any parking fees at your resort. But if you havent made a Magical Express reservation, then Disney assumes you are driving a car and parking it at the resort.
If take private transport such as Uber to get to/from your Disney resort, be sure to stop by or call the front desk so you arent charged for parking.
