Avoid The ‘perfect Trip’ Trap

Disney World raising ticket prices

Don’t forget, as well as being a wonderful place to celebrate, theme parks are also a celebration of commerciality. They’re environments honed to make you spend more and more, using emotive language like ‘precious moments’ and ‘magical memories’.

Too many plan a dream Disney holiday, then only afterwards consider how they’ll pay for it a recipe to end up disappointed or broke. Instead, ask “what can I afford to spend?” then work out how to have the best trip possible within that budget. A holiday lasts a week or so don’t ruin the rest of the year for it.

Use our free Budget Planner tool to help plan. If you’re saving for the trip, the Boost Your Income guide’s crammed with tips to make extra cash.

Other Ways To Pay To Skip The Line At Walt Disney World

Park & VIP Tours.Walt Disney World offers a wide range of tours with a Cast Member guide, priced from about $125 to $400, most of which include ride experiences. When they do, youll be walking on the ride either through the exit or through the Lightning Lane.

Some tours are focused on ridesparticularly the VIP tours, which can include a full day with 10+ walk-on attractions. Other tours will have fewer rides . When we did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom, we got to ride Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise with minimal wait times.

Staying at a Disney Hotel, especially a Deluxe Hotel. Guests of Disney hotels get access to Early Theme Park Entry, which allows them access to the parks 30 minutes before other guests. Importantly, though, the lines for the most popular attractions wont be too short during Early Entry.

Guests of deluxe Disney hotels have access to Extended Evening Hours. This perk occurs in select parks on select nights, butin our experiences at Epcot and Magic Kingdomsees generally much shorter waits than Early Entry.

Other Special Paid Events. Like tours, these arent technically Lightning upgrades, but they deserve mentioning for those interested. Disney continues to offer a variety of paid events priced around $150 to $250 that get you access to the parks with smaller crowds in the morning or evening. At this time, these are primarily the After Hours events.

Charm Mickey Minnie And The Other Characters For Hidden Freebies

With so many instantly recognisable characters roaming Disney World, it can be tempting to simply rack up as many selfies and autographs as possible.

But take the time to chat to a character rather than just nabbing a photo or signature and moving on and you could be rewarded with free stickers, badges and even vouchers to redeem in Disney stores.

MSE Nick T managed to charm his way into a free souvenir:

At the Alice in Wonderland Meet and Greet spot, I got chatting to Alice and the Mad Hatter about tea and ended up re-enacting the Mad Hatters tea party with them. They loved this so much I was given a free voucher to buy a badge pin in one of the various stores around the parks naturally I picked up an Alice in Wonderland pin!

What Is The Best Disney World Park

This is another subjective question. Magic Kingdom has Cinderellas Castle and some of the most iconic rides and attractions. Hollywood Studios used to be a bit boring but with the addition of Star Wars Galaxys Edge and Toy Story Land, its now one the better themed parks. I personally love Animal Kingdom for the safari ride and the Avatar Flight of Passage ride. Many Americans love Epcot as its sort of a tour of the world without ever having to leave America.

The park has been in operation since 1949, making it one of the oldest tourist attractions in Orlando. Tickets are really reasonably-priced for a fun day out: £23 adult and £16 kids.

Disneyland Paris Now uses a paid system, Disney Premier Access, in place of the old FASTPASS system. This allows guests to pay between 8 and 15 for one-time access to skip the line at select attractions. Our guide to FASTPASS at Disneyland Paris is here.

This supplements another new system, Disney Standby Pass. Disney Standby Pass will be used during peak times in place of the regular queue. How Much Will Disney World Tickets Cost

Walt Disney World has four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. As much as people enjoy the hotels, pools, shopping at Disney Springs, riding the monorail, etc, most people come to Disney for the theme parks. That said, theme park tickets are of utmost importance.

In years past, single-day tickets to Magic Kingdom were more expensive than tickets to the other three parks. That isnt necessarily the case today.

These days, the price of Disney World tickets are tiered and park admission is based on which day you visit. Generally speaking, Disney ticket prices are more expensive during the times when tickets are in-demand the most and less expensive during slower times. The Summer 2020 cost of a one-day ticket to any Disney World theme park ranges from $109 to $159. If you take the average of these figures, then you can expect to pay roughly $130 per person, per day at Disney World.

Disney structures their ticket prices in a way that rewards you for longer stays. In other words, the more days you add to your Disney pass, the more the ticket price per day goes down. For example, a 1-day ticket starts at $109, while a 5-day ticket starts at $88 per ticket, per day.

Disney occasionally runs special offers, which usually entails a discount package that includes your hotel stay, dining, and tickets. The current special is a 4-Park Magic Ticket, which is currently around $356 .
