How Big Is Disney World Florida
Disney World in Orlando, Florida, when it first opened, was already a very large theme park even back then. But as the years pass and as the Disney brand grew in popularity and also the amount of Disney films released to critical acclaim and new ideas added to the park Disney World grew larger and larger. And so came the question how many acres is Disney World Florida?
Well, of course, its a natural course of action for a theme park like Disney World to expand their business through the acquisition of land around the park. This would eventually lead to the formation of the other parks that make up Disney World FloridaMagic Kingdom, Epcot, Disneys Hollywood Studios, Disneys Animal Kingdom, and even expanded into water parks like the Typhoon Lagoon and the Blizzard Beach.
As we go into further detail on the sizes of each individual park youll be able to better understand how many acres is Disney World Florida. The reason for this is that not everyone is aware of how huge the scope of it all is. Many would simply go around Disney World and leave without appreciating the park itself for how much it has grown over the years.

How Many Days Should I Go To Disney Worlds Hollywood Studios
To be honest this used to be a simple one day answer but with the recent addition of Star Wars Galaxys Edge and also Toy Story Land its up for debate. Before, you could grab a Star Wars Galaxys Edge boarding group, Now, starting in late 2021, boarding groups are a thing from the past and stand-by has been the only option. If youre wanting to pay, you can purchase an individual Lightning Lane pass to skip the lines with Disney Genie +. It comes out to about $15 per person for Rise of the Resistance. Or, you can wait in stand-by. Just note that it can be up to a four hour wait at some points.
Hollywood Studios has some amazing shops such as the Droid Depot and Savis Workshopwhich can make tackling this park in one day a challenge. Building a droid or making a lightsaber is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we highly recommend the process. There are also Star Wars characters about and another attraction which is totally worth riding called: Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run.

The highlights: Tokyo Disneys parades are absolutely incredible. The floats, performers, and artistic vision come to life wows both kids and adults. The Relationship Between Rides Lands And Parks
If a good theme park is a collection of stories, the interplay of narrative within a ride, narrative within a land, and narrative within a park is also important to understand. Luckily its also pretty simplethese things form a pyramid with a park at the top, lands in the middle, and rides at the bottom.
Theme parks and lands might be thought more like storybooks or collections of connected stories than individual stories. Those stories are connected by a theme. But the best storybook isn’t simply a collection of similarly-themed stories. The best storybook has a unified lesson, maybe even an arc or journey that it takes the reader on. The best theme parks collect stories into chapters , and connect those chapters into one overarching idea .
Focusing on rides / lands, lets contrast two neighboring rides in a very popular landSlinky Dog Dash and Toy Story Mania in Toy Story Land.
The theme of Hollywood Studios is something like hey you, youre in a movie now, but specifically Toy Story Land is meant to be Andys backyard. Youre transformed to the size of a toy, and youre hanging out with some of Andys toys. This all gets a bit muddled when Buzz greets guests in front of a Woody about 10X his height, but thats not the point here.
Slinky Dog Dash does an exquisite job telling the story of its land. The queue and ride design show you that Andy has combined his toy Slinky Dog with a Dash and Dodge Coaster kit. Its all simple, fine, but its detailed and well-done.

Disneyland Resort Anaheim California
The original Disney park, Disneyland Resort first opened in 1955, introducing the world to the fantasy-turned-reality that is a Disney theme park. The resort now features two parks, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, which both feature impressively immersive areas such as Mickeys Toontown and Cars Land. Located between the two parks is Downtown Disney, a shopping, entertainment, and dining district that also acts as the hub between the three on-site hotels. Disneyland Resort is home to over 80 attractions! While it is the oldest Disney park, it is still always growing and evolving.
The highlights: What makes Disneyland special for my family, and many others, is its history and originality as the first Disney park. Disneyland Park was envisioned and brought to life by Walt Disney himself! The nostalgia and connection to Disney roots gives it an extra sprinkle of magic. We love the combination of classic fairytale scenery in Disneyland Park to the more modern, captivating flair of Disney California Adventure Park.
Top 10 Disney Theme Parks
Disney has 11 worldwide theme parks at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland. Please note that while this list is only a few years old, it was pre-Shanghai Disneyland, and before other significant changes. As such, check out our Best & Worst Disney Parks in the World for a more current look at how each park stacks up.
While each of these resorts has a Disneyland/Magic Kingdom style park, not all of these parks are of the same quality, and their second gates and beyond are all fairly different. Some of you have been asking me to rank all of the Disney Parks for a while, and while this technically wont do that since its leaving one off to fit within the Top 10 format, it really will since its only leaving one off.
Think of this list as like my power rankings for the Disney Parks. Its my attempt at objectivity in ranking the parks, but my personal biases and most recent impressions undoubtedly will creep in a little. Like power rankings, my actual rankings could vary month to month or even week to week depending upon maintenance, new attraction announcements, seasonal improvements, and a litany of other variables. Its all very scientific.
In any case, remember that this is one random dudes opinion on the internet. At the end of the day, it doesnt impact your enjoyment of your favorite park if I rank it at number 8, nor does my opinion matter in the grand scheme of things.

How Many Days To Spend At Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom
This has been a highly debated topic in the Disney community, since there are avid goers who swear that Animal Kingdom is a full day park. If you love animals, there are walking trails that feature most of the animals kept at the park. There are also shows, festivals, and now Disneys KiteTails 50th Anniversary Celebration show. Some guests spend hours waiting in line for Avatar : Flight of Passage, which can take a huge chunk of the day.
Animal Kingdom also has some of the best dining in all four theme parks, and are worth using a portion of your day to grab a reservation at restaurants like Yak and Yeti, Tusker House or Tiffins. We dont think youll need more than one day at this park, but it will definitely be a packed day if you explore it from top to bottom.

Disneyland Vs Disney World: Hotels
There are three Disney-owned hotels at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim: The Disney Hotel, Disneys Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, and Disneys Paradise Pier Hotel. Additionally, since Disneyland is smaller and closer to non-Disney hotels, there are a number of less expensive places to stay around the theme park.
Over at Disney World, there are over 35 different hotels and resorts ranging from the wallet-friendly Disneys Art of Animation Resort to the sleek safari-like Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the deluxe Disneys Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. In addition, there are nearly 45 Good Neighbor hotels that are within 15 miles of the parks. These hotels arent official Disney hotels, but they have partnered with Disney World to provide a more budget-friendly experience than staying on Disney property. The benefit to staying on property at Disney World is free and convenient transportation along with Extra Magic Hours early entry and extended hours at specific parks daily.
