Plan Your Disney Vacation
No matter when you plan to visit WDW, your best bet for a one-of-a-kind experience is to do some advance planning. Determine which Disney Parks and which must-do attractions you most want to experience. Do an in-depth review of height requirements, especially for thrill rides and dark rides. And take full advantage of your available FastPasses. You might also want to consider purchasing MagicBands to further simplify your Disney experience. And remember to save time for other Disney activities such as visiting Disney Springs or the two Disney water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

How Many Parks Are At Disney World Orlando
When traveling to Orlando, Florida with your family, there are many things to consider. One question that often comes up is how many parks are there at Disney World.
With four theme parks and two water parks, there is plenty to choose from. In this guide, we will provide a best rides list for each park so that you can hit all the fun attractions at Disney World.
Dont Waste Time On A Single Ride
A 15- to 20-minute wait for a ride may not sound like much of a delay in a major theme park, but when you want to ride all 48 rides across four parks in one day, it simply isnt an option. We wouldnt wait in any line that was more than 5 to 10 minutes long unless we had no other option. Our longest line of the entire day was 15 minutes, and that was for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which frequently has a two-hour wait. The second-longest line was for Peter Pans Flight, close to a 15-minute wait, but we got in line at 10:59pm, one minute before park closing. As long as you are in line for a ride when the clock strikes, you get to enjoy a final thrill of the day.
The My Disney Experience app is your friend for monitoring wait times, but you should also check the wait boards as you pass rides, as the app isnt always 100% accurate.

Use Lightning Lanesand Genie+
The second way to avoid queues, even if you dont arrive early, is to use Disneys Lightning Lanes. These replaced the FastPass+ system.
Lightning Lanes are a way to skip the queue by choosing the next available time to go on select Disney World rides.
Access to Lightning Lanes is primarily via a new paid service called Genie+ which you can buy from the My Disney Experience app for $15 per ticket per day .
Ride reservations can be made on the app. They can only be made on the day and you can only book one at a time. As soon as you tap into the ride, or after 120 minutes has passed, you can select your next ride.
You can only use Genie+ for each ride once.
The two most popular rides in each park are not included in the $15 bundle. Instead, line-skipping for these is priced individually and the cost varies depending on demand. They can be purchased from the app at park opening or at 7am for resort guests.
While Genie+ is a service thats worth paying for, especially for Magic Kingdom, you should be able to avoid paying for individual attractions by arriving early and riding them first.
Below Ive included recommendations for Genie+ priority rides.
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros
The Gran Fiesta Tour is a simple boat ride through the pyramid in the Mexico pavilion in EPCOT. It takes you on a journey with Panchito Pistoles and José Carioca in search of Donald Duck. There are no thrills here and the special effects are low-tech, but it is a relaxing ride that lets you soak up some of the Mexican culture.
We wouldnt be surprised if this is eventually replaced by something Coco-themed, but until then well keep enjoying this EPCOT classic in-between laps around World Showcase during the next festival.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
While Toy Story Mania would eventually improve upon what Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin started, this space alien shoot-em-up is still well worth the wait.
You and a loved one share a space pod equipped with two laser blasters and a spin stick, sent on a mission to find Emperor Zurg and eliminate his minions. This five minute ride goes fast as you compete with your partner for a high score by shooting targets on the walls of the tunnels. The buttons on the blasters can be a little imprecise compared to how newer rides have improved on this, but this older interactive ride still holds up.
Which Park Is The Best For Thrill Seekers
Although each park has something thrilling, we think Hollywood Studios is the best for adrenaline junkies. Not only does it have the most thrill rides overall, the ones it does have are some of the most intense of any in the parks.
- Hollywood Studios: 5 thrill rides, with a combined average intensity of 7.57/10
- Animal Kingdom: 4 thrill rides, with a combined average intensity of 7.01/10
- Magic Kingdom: 4 thrill rides , with a combined average intensity of 6.98/10
- Epcot: 2 thrill rides with a combined average intensity of 6.54/10

Soarin’ Around The World
Soarin’ is an incredible experience, and the best ride at Epcot.
Previously Soarin’ Over California a transplant from Disneyland the flight simulator ride lifts you high above the clouds as you take an international journey through the skies that will enrapture your senses. It really feels like flying, as your feet dangle in the breeze taking you from one majestic vista to the next. Waits can be as long as 90 minutes for this, but it is worth it.
Once you “Soar” for yourself, you’ll want to experience it again and again. Do yourself a favor and add this to your FastPass list.

Watch For Rides That Close Early
The Main Street Vehicles arent the only rides that shut down early. The boat to Tom Sawyer Island closes around dusk, while the Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom shuts down at 7pm. The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and Carousel of Progress are also known to close earlier than other Magic Kingdom attractions.
On the day of our challenge, Splash Mountain and Jungle Cruise didnt participate in Extra Magic Hours, and closed at 9pm rather than 11pm, like most of the park. We missed out on several rides because of this.

The best of the Disney World spinner rides . This is a class ride thats been around since the opening in 1971, though it has gone through some upgrades throughout the years.

Get Your Parks Tickets At A Discount
Many people leave to buy their tickets arriving in Orlando or even on the day of the park.
We do not in any way recommend that you do this for a variety of reasons, such as:
If you buy tickets on the spot, you won’t be able to book your park days in advance at the risk of not even being able to enter a park on a given day.
You will lose valuable park minutes in line to buy your tickets.
AND MAINLY, you will pay more because tickets at the box office are more expensive than buying in advance!
Access our sale site to buy your tickets or request a free consultation to find out exactly which tickets are the best to buy.

Which Disney Park Has The Best Rides
This is very subjective and it will depend on your overall list, but in our rankings we it came out that Disneys Magic Kingdom has the best rides in Walt Disney World. It has 3 of the top 10 rides but 6 of the top 15. Again having so many more rides helps here.
As a surprise pick Animal Kingdom was also very close to the top having 3 of the top 8 rides at Disney World. Obviously the fact there are so few attractions in this park speaks to the quality of the ones they do have.

Wdw Railroad Frontierland Station
A steam train that takes guests on a loop around all of Magic Kingdom. There are 3 stops at the end of Main Street, in Fantasyland , and in Frontierland between Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Height req.: None Suitable for: Anybody Do we recommend? Yes, as both a time filler and as a method to get to the other side of the park When to visit: Anytime Tip: This is a great attraction to ride if you have a little one that needs to rest since you can stay on it as long as you like. You can get on and off on any of its 3 stops so it is also a good way to save some steps if you need to cross the park.
