Disney World Where To Park

Walt Disneys Enchanted Tiki Room

Take a Look at Some of the Most Thrilling Rides at Walt Disney World Water Parks

Another one of the only attractions remaining that Walt Disney actually had a hand in creating. In fact, all the audio-animatronics you love so much on other rides, started here in the Enchanted Tiki Room.

The song is catchy and the ride is a piece of Disney history. Its a must-do for anyone visiting for the first time and a Disney classic.

Its Tough To Be A Bug

Its Tough to be a Bug is a 3D show located underneath the Tree of Life and featuring characters from the Disney-Pixar A Bugs Life franchise. Spiders, ants, stinkbugs, dung beetles and dozens of other insects take stage and help show humans what its like from their perspective.

The show is full of funny moments and a few surprising gags that will have you on the edge of your seat. Kids will love this show and its a way to introduce Disney characters without making it feel forced or out of place.

We love watching the animal carvings on the tree outside and the theater itself is in a really cool location. Definitely a must-do for all age groups.

Should You Be Driving Right Now

As Disney reopens, one way many guests are limiting time in enclosed spaces with others is by driving.

Not only does it feel safer, on most days driving got us to the front of the parks a lot faster than Disney transportation did because the parking lots were consistently opening up before the buses began running.

If you are planning to visit Disney during the upcoming year, we do recommend that you consider driving to the parks.

Discount Disney World Tickets

Unless youre booking a full vacation package in order to access Free Dining or another package-only discount, youre probably going to want to purchase discount Disney World tickets.

As we discuss in greater detail in our post on discount Disney World tickets , we recommend purchasing through Undercover Tourist or Get Away Today. Youll want to look into other discount options, if you have access to them, as well.

Wherever you buy your discount tickets, youll be able to link them to your My Disney Experience account . This is a must-do for a few reasons, but basically any technical troubles you run into are going to be much easier to resolve if you have an MDE account.

Best Rides At Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has two of our favourite Disney World rides, and we love the Hollywood theming of this movie-focused park.

There have been some exciting changes at Hollywood Studios. Star Wars: Galaxys Edge is the newest land and opened in 2019. Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway is the newest ride and opened in March 2020.

How Much Does It Cost To Park At Disney World

When you approach the theme park gates at Disney, youll notice three different options for parking fees.

1. Standard Parking: Car or Motorcycle $25 per day

Standard parking at the Disney Parks may require you to be parked a little ways back from the gate. Dont worry, there are trams that can take you to the front area of the park at no additional fee.

Hipster Power Tip: Remember that the Magic Kingdom is the busiest theme park in the world so be sure to get there an hour and a half before to the gates open.

This may seem radical, but if youre parking you have to take into consideration:

  • Finding a parking space.
  • Getting on the tram to the transportation ticket center.
  • Taking the monorail or boat over to the Magic Kingdom gates. There can be a very long line to get on the monorail or the boat.
  • Getting through the ticket turnstiles. This may take a while due to new security safety measures of having your bags checked.

2. Preferred Parking: Car or Motorcycle $45 to $50 per day

This area is located the closest to the park front gates. Disney Cast Members will also give you a bottle of water when you choose this option.

Keep in mind that the prices for Preferred Parking do vary based on the season that you visit.

3. Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer $30 per day

This is a Disney parking fee that you will pay if you plan on parking one of these vehicles on property.

Alternatives To Having A Car

Walt Disney World 4 Park Tour | Magic Kingdom EPCOT Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom!

Guests of Disney hotels have access to free transportation to all major destinations on Disney property. Since Disney has ended their Magical Express shuttle service from Orlando International Airport youll have to find your own way from the airport if youre flying in.

While Disney transportation can be time consuming, it saves you the cost and hassle of having a car.

Guests of other hotels will have to check with their hotels to see what their transportation options are. And always read hotel reviews to see what guests say about the transportation.

Additionally, if youre thinking about bringing a car, consider whether youd be better off using Uber/Lyft or Minnie Vans for your purposes. We have a guide to using Uber at Walt Disney World. Were very comfortable with Uber and we dont have to wait for a car with a carseat, so were a little biased toward that service.

Tadpoles often can’t believe they are at Disney World until they see that iconic Cinderella Castle. Even with a focus on magic and fantasy, the distinctly themed lands provide lots of different atmospheres for all to enjoy. With its nostalgia and whimsical Disney fun, Magic Kingdom is a must-do for most frog families!

For the Thrill Seekers

With rides such as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, Disney’s Hollywood Studios provides a thrill for coaster lovers. This park has a variety of adventures that throw you right into your favorite movies. With the addition of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there are lots of epic rides to enjoy . Where To Eat At Hollywood Studios

The food at Hollywood Studios tends to be more junky than at other parks and we usually end up getting pizza. On our last visit we enjoyed lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater instead.

We got a table without a reservation, but had to wait 40 minutes in the bar next door which has a surprisingly good selection of craft beers.

The restaurant is very coola huge space set up like a drive-in with a starry sky, vintage cars which you sit in to eat, and a screen showing 60s cartoons and movie clips. We enjoyed the tofu lettuce wraps and falafel burger.

Are You Coming In From Out Of Town

A great option to avoid the cost for parking at Disney World is to park in the garages at Disney Springs and then take a bus over to any of the theme parks. Learn where to park at Disney Springs in my other article about Disney Springs parking.

The good news is that you can park there all day and dont have to worry about your car being towed. However, the downside to doing this is that its time consuming. It also can become tiring from all the walking and waiting around for the busses.

Insider Tip

Make sure to remember where you parked your vehicle, because there are several different garages that have been built. I usually send myself a text message or take a quick picture with my cellphone of the parking space, including the name of the garage.
