Disney World Water Bottle Policy

Is Water Free At Walt Disney World

Where to Find Free Water at Disney World/DIsneyland

Bottled water at the Walt Disney World Resort is not free, but tap water is. There are several water fountains found throughout each park, and free tap water is available at all quick service locations. The cups of water provided at the quick service locations are small, but upon request, a cast member will typically fill a larger cup if you ask nicely. Ice is also provided upon request, either in a cup of water or by itself.

We recommend the tap water at the Starbucks and Joffreys locations as the water is filtered, which tastes a lot better than unfiltered Central Florida tap water.

If you dont want to pay for bottled water in the Disney theme parks, but you also dont want to drink Florida tap water, you can bring your own bottled water into the parks for free.

A Cause For Concern In A Reopened Disney World

But as convenient as these stations are, do we have reason to be concerned with the cleanliness of them? We saw them working when we visited Disneys Hollywood Studios on its opening day, along with the water fountains located right next to them. Depending on how often Cast Members come by and sanitize the stations, these may not be AS clean as you may think.

Water Bottle Refill Station

While these are contactless, and objectively SHOULD be the safer way of getting water , we have always wondered how frequently folks touch the opening of their water bottle with where the water comes out of the refill station.

Bottled Water

There is no need to physically touch your bottle to the station, as the sensors in the station will detect when a water bottle is underneath the fountain and will turn on automatically. Think of it like an automatic sink in a restroom. All you need to do is hover your hands underneath the sink, and water will appear!

Water Bottle Station and Water Fountain

These refill stations have not all been operating since the parks have reopened. While the ones in Pandora and Galaxys Edge were fully functional, the location at Cosmic Rays was not.

Can You Take Food Into Disneyland

One of the most common questions when it comes to Disneyland is, Can I take food into Disneyland? The answer to this question is not as clear as it should be since there is so much conflicting information on this topic in particular with people who visit Disneyland often.

According to the Disneyland official policy, guests can bring in food to the park with certain restrictions. If you are planning to visit Disneyland, you are only allowed to bring in food items that are categorized as snack items or pre-made food. This can range from pre-made sandwiches to slices fruit.

However, you cannot bring in any food that requires heating or preparation. You also cannot bring in food that is not yet prepared such as bread loaves and condiments. Your sandwiches and other snacks must be pre-made before entering the park.

Another restriction is that you cannot bring in any food that is in a large container. If you have brought enough food in a bowl for the whole family, you will not be able to enter the park. You can only bring personal-sized food items.

The only exception to these rules is people with dietary restrictions or allergies. However, with this being said, some people have been turned away for food items that are supposed to be allowed in, so be prepared for that.

So, can you bring food into Disney? Yes, but there are restrictions.

Many water bottles can be bought in larger 18-24 packs at the local grocery store for about the price of 1-2 water bottles at Disney. These savings can really add up. A refillable water bottle is even a better idea.

Strollers And Mobility Devices

There are a few options when it comes to strollers: rent one inside the park, rent one via a local stroller provider, or simply bring your own. Disney does allow guests to bring their own strollers.

If you plan on bringing your own stroller to the park, be aware that strollers exceeding 31 in width and 52 in length are strictly prohibited. Stroller wagons are also prohibited, as are any type of trailer-like object that is pushed, pulled, or towed.

Manual or electrically-powered mobility devices are allowed into Disney parks, so long as they are for a single rider, operate at a walking speed, have at least 3 wheels, and do not exceed 36 in width and 52 in length.

Is It Okay To Leave Items In My Stroller While I Ride

This is generally not a good idea! Though Disney does offer designated stroller parking areas near most major attractions these areas are not policed. I typically rent strollers directly from Disney when I visit but have had mine taken on several occasions and everything with them Keep your valuables close at hand. Only leave items in the stroller that you wont mind parting with should the unthinkable happen.

Are There Lockers Near All Of The Attractions If I Do Decide To Check My Bags

No. Unlike Universal, there are not lockers adjacent to each of the attractions. The only exception to this is Kali River Rapids at Disneys Animal Kingdom. Because visitors get very wet on this ride you do have the option of utilizing the local lockers before hopping on board. The rental is free if only used while you ride the attraction. There is a fee for longer rentals. However, if you do decide you want a locker, each of the theme parks does have at least one locker station usually near the entrances of the parks. Heres a look at where you can find them.

  • Magic Kingdom The locker rentals here can be found underneath the railway station to the right as you enter the park.
  • Epcot This theme park has two locker rental areas. The first is located at the International Gateway for those spending most of your time at the World Showcase. The other location is at the front entrance of the park in Future World near the Camera Center.
  • Disneys Hollywood Studios For now there are two locker rental stations at Hollywood Studios. The first is located near the bus ranks before you enter the park. The second location Crossroads of the World as soon as you officially enter the park.
  • Animal Kingdom As mentioned above, there are two Animal Kingdom locker areas. The first is located adjacent to Kali River Rapids. The second is in the Oasis area of the park on the left-hand side near the entrance to the Rainforest Cafe.

Disney Cruise Bottled Water

Sharing is caring!

One of the questions that we hear a lot is can you bring bottled water on a Disney Cruise.

Also, can you buy Disney cruise bottled water on the ship?

Disney cruise lines are one of the most helpful in allowing guests to bring certain items on the ship. It has one of the most flexible policies at sea for bringing alcohol on board. You can see our guide at:

Fortunately, Disney cruise lines are also very helpful in allowing guests to bring as much bottled water on board as they can carry.

It has to be unopened and in carry-on luggage.

You can bring as much water onboard a Disney cruise as you want to. However, you do need to give some thought as to how best to transport it onto the ship!

A pack of even just 12 bottles of water is pretty heavy and bulky. You really dont want to think about picking that up with your bare hands!

Make sure that you have a wheeled carry-on bag to either put them in or balance them on top of.

Also, remember that your Disney cruise stateroom is not going to be ready until at least 1 pm.

This means that you could have a couple of hours on the ship balancing those water bottles on your carry-on. Just keep that in mind when you choose how to transport it.

There are water packages to purchase on your Disney cruise. You will notice on the first day there will be crew members asking if you want to buy Disney cruise bottled water.
