Best Place To Stay Near Disney For Large Families
For families who need more space than a typical hotel room provides, cabins at Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort may be the thing. These moderately priced cabins have plenty of room to spread out and feature a queen-size bed, bunk beds, and a double sleeper sofa. Cabins can easily sleep six, and also come with a fully equipped kitchen, small dining space, outdoor grill, picnic table, and private patio deck.
There are plenty of activities at Fort Wilderness, too, including horse-drawn carriage rides at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show, and campfire marshmallow roast with Disney characters and a movie each night.
Disneys Polynesian Resort Village
Another Disney Deluxe Resort accessible by monorail, and boat, Disneys Polynesian Resort shares the same walking path at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort and Shades of Green. You are able to see this resort directly across the lagoon from the Magic Kingdom entrance. The Polynesian Resort features villa bungalows along with the water and tiki lamps near the pool. This island-style resort features elements from Disneys Moana and the Polynesian Islands. And is also home to Kona Cafe, and Ohana Restaurant, featuring the world-famous Hawaiian Bread Pudding. We love this resort for the beaches and Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai. To access the walking path just head to the first floor. Go past Captain Cooks, the resorts quick-service restaurant, and out the side door. From here youll see a pathway leading towards the Grand Floridian. Continue walking past the Grand Floridian once you reach it, and Magic Kingdom is your next stop.

There are so many resorts to choose from when it comes to Disney World Resort Hotels!
So where do you stay?
Cost is often a big factor for families. Disney World has conveniently labeled its resort hotels as value, moderate, or deluxe.
But location is also a consideration. Which parks do you plan to visit most? What modes of transportation are available to these locations?
Today we start by exploring the five Magic Kingdom area resorts. As Mickey would say, Oh boy! These are some great hotels!
Transportation And Ticket Center
Magic Kingdom lies more than a mile away from its parking lot, on the opposite side of the man-made Seven Seas Lagoon. Upon arrival, guests are taken by the parking lot trams to the Transportation and Ticket Center , which sells admission into the parks and provides transportation connections throughout the resort complex.

Most Magical Hotels Near Magic Kingdom
At Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the name says it all. Its Victorian-style architecture and lavish décor with upscale amenities make this resort hotel a Frog Family Favorite, especially among the hotels near Magic Kingdom. While many find the “fancy” theming fairly at odds with the term “family-friendly,” that is absolutely not the case, although this hotel lends itself to more leisure. Families can escape the hustle and bustle of the parks at the large, serene “quiet” pool and retreat to the hammocks along the hotel’s beach in the evening. For those who want to make more of a splash, there is the overflowing beach pool with its 181-foot-long waterslide. The Grand Floridian boasts the finest dining in all the world, with the award-winning Victoria & Albert’s. Prior to COVID-19, the tadpoles could enjoy character dining at 1900 Park Fare for all meals, with Cinderella and friends at dinner and characters such as the Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh and Mary Poppins for the others. Enjoy the convenience of direct access to Magic Kingdom by monorail or water taxi .
Tadpoles will leap for joy at the Volcano Pool and water play area, and adults will love the interactive environment at Trader Sams Grotto. There are plenty of dining options, including a character breakfast with Lilo & Stitch and even a luau to make your island stay complete!
