Hardest To Get Restaurants
Here is a list of the hardest restaurants to get dining reservations for in Disney World:
These restaurants list above are what wed consider to be the hardest-to-get reservations in Walt Disney World and should absolutely be made on the first day booking is available .
Its very rare for them to take walk-in guests, and they can be quite difficult to get large groups into too.
Here is what we would consider the next-tier of hard-to-get advanced dining reservations:
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Princess character meal in EPCOTs Norway pavilion.
- Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno Another Princess character breakfast located at Disneys Boardwalk Resort.
- California Grill Beautiful location, great food and stunning views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks make this one of the hardest tables to get in Disney World.
- Cape May Cafe People line up around the block for a New England Clam Bake, and they also get online at 6 am to get the reservations.
- Le Cellier Perhaps EPCOTs most popular restaurant after all these years.
- Rose & Crown This restaurant is located right on World Showcase Lagoon, making it a perfect place to see the fireworks right from your table.
- Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disneys Polynesian Resort.
Before You Book Dining Reservations
Now that you have your list of restaurants, there are just a few more things you need to prepare before the 60-day booking window starts.
1. Make a list of restaurants you want to try Before you start making advanced dining reservations you need to have a plan for which restaurants you want to eat at in Disney World.
The Walt Disney World website is a great resource with a list of every restaurant and their menus. Go on there and through them to see which ones look the best to you.
Always put a few extra restaurants on the list than what you will be able to eat at. This gives you more options when it comes time to make ADRs.
2. Narrow down your list to the absolute must-try restaurants Out of your whole list, write down the 4-5 most important ones that you HAVE to eat at. This will help you prioritize when booking.
3. Plan your vacation days Write down which days are going to be park days, which parks you will be at on each day so you figure out where you are going to be. Once you know where you are going to be, you can start filling in the meals with restaurants from your list that are located in those places.
Will you be in the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday? Thats a great time to try Be Our Guest. EPCOT on Thursday? Grab some sushi at Tokyo Dining then.
Can You Eat At Disney Restaurants Without Reservations
Sometimes. Many, if not most, restaurants at Disney World take walk up guests and will add your name to a list. However, on busier days or at the top restaurants, youll basically never get in without a reservation.
Generally, if youre going to get a table in any reasonable amount of time, there will be an open reservation that you can just go ahead and book to save yourself the trouble of going to the restaurant and sitting around waiting.
If there are no available reservations, then the restaurant is probably full and waits will be at least 30 minutes and probably 60 minutes plus.

What Are Advanced Dining Reservations At Disney World
With Walt Disney World being one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, you can imagine how busy its restaurants are. Thats where dining reservations come in.
Advanced Dining Reservations are a part of Disney Worlds restaurant reservation system. When you have an ADR, it guarantees you a table at a specific restaurant on any given day.
Guests can plan ahead of time which restaurants they want to dine at in Disney World and then can book a table online or on the phone.
Once you have an ADR, you will receive a reservation time for that restaurant. Depending on how busy the restaurant is when you arrive you may be seated immediately or you may have to wait a few minutes until a table is ready.
- Dining reservations can be made for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, character meals, buffets, dinner shows, and any other limited dining experiences.
- ADRs are typically only used at Table Service Restaurants, though occasionally Quick Service Restaurants will offer dining reservations.
The nice thing is that ANYONE can use Advanced Dining Reservations to book restaurants in Walt Disney World. This includes guests staying in a Disney World Resort hotel, guests staying off-site or just anyone visiting for the day.
Advance Dining Reservations That Require Payment In Full Or Guarantee
Walt Disney World restaurants, shows or dining packages that accept ADRs all require a credit card to either guarantee the reservation or full credit card payment at the time of reserving. These reservations will also have specific cancellation policies that will need to be adhered to prevent your card from being charged or to be credited a full refund. Generally, credit card guarantee policies specify canceling reservations at least 24 hours in advance or risk being charged a $10 per person penalty. For example, a reservation made for Oct. 29 must be canceled on Oct. 28 by 10 p.m. EST to avoid the fee. The few exceptions have either different cancellation periods or higher cancellation penalties and are listed below. Restaurants requiring a credit card guarantee will not charge the card except for no-shows or when cancellation penalty applies. At these restaurants, you may pay for your meal after dining by cash, room charge, credit card or Dining Plan credits. Restaurants requiring pre-payment in full will refund payment only if reservations are canceled a full day in advance.
Restaurants Requiring a Credit Card Guarantee with Varying Terms
Restaurants Requiring Pre-Payment in FullRestaurants requiring a pre-payment will refund the payment in full as long as reservations are canceled a full day in advance otherwise, full payment is forfeited.

Can I Get Into A Theme Park If I Have A Dining Reservation There
Reservations will be required to dine at theme park restaurants during the reopening phase. But having an Advanced Dining Reservation doesnt give you automatic entry into the theme parks.
To get into the theme parks you need a Park Reservation AND Park Admission Ticket. If you then want to go to one of that parks restaurants, you will need an advanced dining reservation .
If you show up to the Magic Kingdom with a dining reservation but no park reservation, you will not be allowed in.
Looking To Just Modify Your Disney Reservation
Modifying a Walt Disney World reservation is much easier than canceling it! You can make changes to your reservation as long as you do so more than seven days before the first use of the reservation. If you need to make changes within seven days of the first use of the reservation, you will be charged a change fee.
Changing the name on a reservation can be done up to three days prior to the first use of the reservation, and changing the date can be done as long as the new date is more than seven days in the future.

Can I Change The Dates Of My Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets
Yes, you can change the date of your Disney World tickets. Theme park tickets are valid for admission beginning on your selected start date. They must be used within the validity period chosen at the time of purchase. For instance, a 1-day ticket expires on the selected start date. A multi-day ticket, on the other hand, expires several days after the start date. As an example, a 6-day ticket expires 9 days after the selected start date. A 10-day ticket expires 14 days after the selected start date.
So, if you have a 6-day base ticket and you had chosen your start date as December 1, the ticket will be valid for entry into the Disney World theme parks on any six days between December 1 and December 9.
Now, lets say theres been a change in plans. You want to reschedule your trip from December to February. You can go online or go to the My Disney Experience mobile app and change your selected start date for your Disney World theme park tickets. All you have to do is click on My Tickets and choose the Change Ticket option. Youll then be able to change the ticket dates, the number of days, and ticket type. If there is any price difference, youll be prompted to pay the difference at checkout. You can do this date change as long as your tickets are still valid, i.e., they are unexpired.
Disneyland Paris Modification Policy
A non-refundable deposit of fifteen percent of the total cost of your booking will be required for bookings made more than sixty days before your arrival date.
After your initial booking, modifications can not be made online, even if this is how you booked your holiday. Modifications can only be made by calling the Disneyland Paris call center. They can be reached at 08448 008 898
Disneyland Paris is experiencing higher than normal call volume due to its changing reservation system. Hopefully, this means we will soon see an app that is able to make modifications and dining reservations just like in Walt Disney World.
There are rules to the modifications, however. Disneyland Paris does allow for alterations between 61-8 days, free of charge when modifying to a higher price point. This also means there is a modification charge when modifying to a lower price point, as much as charges 89euro per booking, when calling 61-8 days in advance.

Disney Cancellation Or Refund Policy For Tickets
Tickets for Walt Disney World can be canceled as long as they are canceled at least 24 hours prior to the first use of the ticket. If you do not cancel your tickets in advance and do not show up for your reservation, the tickets are forfeited and will not be refunded.
Again, these rules only apply if you have bought your tickets directly from Disney. If you have bought tickets from a third-party seller, the rules may be different.
Hotel Rooms & Packages
During the closures, Disney was automatically canceling and refunding all hotel reservations. Now that the parks are set to reopen in July, these automatic cancellations may no longer be happening, and guests could need to selectively cancel their reservations.

Disney World Split Stays
If you are not sure what a split stay is, it is when you stay at two or more Disney hotels during your vacation. For example, 5 night at the Polynesian and 5 nights at Caribbean Beach.
In the case of a split stay, the 60+10 rule does NOT apply. On the 60th day from your arrival date, when are able to start making ADRs, you will only be able to book a restaurant for those first 5 days of your vacation at the Polynesian and not the last 5 at the Caribbean Beach.
Even though it would be logical to be able to book them all right away since you are staying all 10 days on Walt Disney World property, that is not the case.
In order to book the restaurant for the last 5 days at the Caribbean Beach Resort, you will have to wait until 60 days before your arrival at THAT resort. Even though we love split stays, this is one of the only downsides to doing it and is usually not a problem unless you are trying to book one of the absolute hardest-to-get reservations in Disney World.
What Are Disneys Advance Dining Reservations
Disneys Advance Dining Reservations are not reservations in the true sense of the word with definite seating times. They do guarantee, however, that you will be seated at the first available table after checking in at the podium for your reservation time. Actually, Disney recommends arriving 15 minutes prior to your ADR time. Waits generally range from a few minutes to a half hour. Think of Disneys Advance Dining Reservations as Disneys way of controlling the seating flow in their restaurants. Those that have Advance Dining Reservations will be seated and those that dont, in many cases wont.
Disney highly recommends that you making Advance Dining Reservations for all of your table service, character meals, and buffet restaurants especially if you have purchased the Disney Dining Plan. Dining ADRs can be made from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m seven days a week by calling 407-WDW-DINE or 939-1947. Reservations can be made online anytime using the MyDisneyExperience website or app. Online dining reservations open up at 6:00 a.m. EST 180 days in advance.

Select The Reservation Time Wisely
If you are not an early riser, dont book an early morning reservation, even if it is the easiest to get. Dont select the reservations based on external conveniences. Always prioritize what you want.
Even if you are a morning person, morning reservations need extra caution and calculation. If you book a reservation suppose at 8 AM, you will have to consider how much time you need to get there from where you are staying.
