Upgrading Your Walt Disney World Tickets
New or partially-used Disney Theme Park tickets can be upgraded to add extra days , Park Hopping or Park Hopper Plus or any combination of these options. Upgrades are done on a one ticket for one ticket exchange. You cannot exchange one higher price ticket for several lower price tickets, nor can you get a refund under any ticket exchange scenario. Once the transaction is made, its final.
Disney Theme Park tickets can also be upgraded to an annual pass. The only possible upgrade for a 10-day Disney Theme Park ticket is to purchase an annual pass.
Upgrading Unused Tickets: The purchase price will be applied to any higher priced ticket. As long as your Disney Theme Park ticket is unused and the cost of the new ticket exceeds that of the old one, you can purchase any other Disney Theme Park ticket or Annual Pass you choose. For any one-day ticket, such as a one-day Disney Theme Park ticket or one-day water park ticket, upgrades may only be done on the date of use. Complimentary tickets can not be upgraded. Simply take your ticket to any park or Disney Springs Guest Service window to complete the transaction. Only Disney Theme Park tickets can be upgraded. Tickets purchased prior to 1/2/05 that have not expired may still be used for park admission at no additional charge but may not be upgraded.
Water Park And Sports Option
For about $70 more, you could upgrade your 1 Park Per Day ticket and get a Water Park and Sports Option ticket. In addition to being able to visit one theme park per day, you could also visit Disneys Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disneys Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, the NBA Experience at Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the 9-hole Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course , and Disneys two mini-golf courses. The number of visits to these additional attractions is based on the number of days purchased for the 1 Park Per Day ticket. For example, a four-day ticket includes four visits, while a six-day ticket would include six visits.
How Much Are Tickets To Disney World
The prices for Disney World theme park tickets used to be uniform. But starting in 2016, the resort adopted a variable pricing model. Florida Resident Disney World Ticket Discounts
In order to qualify for Florida Resident ticket and annual pass discounts, you have to show proof of residency such as a valid Florida drivers license or Florida state ID card, showing a Florida address. These tickets and passes are also controlled using a biometric finger scan, to prevent them from being transferred to non-Florida residents. Disney has the system down to a science trust us, you really cant buy or use these tickets unless you actually live in Florida!
If your primary ID is from a different state, but you do own a residence in Florida, even one you only use part of the year, you can generally buy Florida resident tickets and passes by showing, for each adult, an ID from another state plus a recent utility bill or bank statement in the same name , addressed to your Florida residence. Timeshares are not considered residences for the purposes of buying Florida Resident tickets and passes.
The only exception is small children since Disney cant reasonably require them to show residency through an ID, its technically possible for Florida residents to buy Florida resident tickets for non-resident kids. For instance, if Grandma and Grandpa live in Florida, they could accompany their grandkids who live outside Florida to Walt Disney World, and buy the kids Florida resident tickets.

Hollywood Studios was once known as Disney-MGM Studios when it opened in 1989. It has always been a great half-day theme park for those visiting Walt Disney World solo.
However, it is now a park that is spectacular to discover for over a whole day.
The addition of Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxys Edge, has made Hollywood Studios a competitive theme park.
Hollywood Studios Itinerary:

- Watch the Muppets 3-D Vision Show
- Watch the Voyage of The Little Mermaid, Animation Courtyard
- Encounter Kylo Ren at Star Wars Launch Bay, Animation Courtyard

Unused day on any Walt Disney World unexpired multi-day ticket can be used for admission to Disneyland or Disneys California Adventure parks. Present your WDW Ticket at the gate and it will be exchanged for a single day Disney park admission ticket. If you have multiple days left on your WDW ticket, you must repeat the process each day. Only one day will be subtracted from your WDW ticket at a time and the Disneyland ticket must be used on the same day. If your Walt Disney World ticket has the park hopping option, you may also park hop at Disneyland. Its also worth noting that you must have already used or activated the ticket at Walt Disney World for at least one day in order to use unused days at Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland tickets can not be used as admission to Walt Disney World parks! The value of a valid unused or partially-used Disneyland ticket can, however, be applied to the purchase of a new Walt Disney World Disney Theme Park ticket or Annual Pass. Any Guest Relations Office at Walt Disney World should be able to lookup the value of your unexpired Disneyland ticket, cancel the Disneyland ticket, and apply that value to your new WDW ticket.
Disney doesnt require kids who have a birthday during a trip to change tickets. The age of your child on the day you check-in determines the ticket you will need to purchase.
