Walt Disney Worlds Dining Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately, there is not a one-size-fits-all policy for canceling dining reservations at Walt Disney World. Most Disney owned-and-operated restaurants have a 24-hour policy. A small deposit is paid when booking the reservation, and if the reservation is not canceled at least 24 hours in advance, that deposit is forfeited.
Other restaurants at Disney World have different policies, so be sure to thoroughly review them before finalizing your reservation. If the restaurant is not owned and operated by Disney, like many of the restaurants at Disney Springs, a deposit is usually not required. Disney offers the phone number 824-1391 for assistance with their restaurant cancelation policy.
How Do I Get These Will Call Tickets
Will Call orders are only available for pickup at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Tickets can be picked up starting the day after your order. Upon arrival at Disney World, pick up your will call ticket order at any Theme Park ticket booth including water parks, at any Guest Relations location including Disney Springs, or at any Disney Resort Lobby Concierge.
With the MagicBand system, having the actual ticket media in hand is no longer required.
Please note that any Florida resident, seasonal, annual or premium annual passes cannot be picked up at the resorts, only at the Theme/Water Parks ticket booths or any Guest Relations. Please present your confirmation number along with a valid photo ID , at any ticket sales location at one of these parks. The confirmation number is the only way that Lobby Concierge can retrieve your tickets. Without it, you will have to visit a Guest Relations location to pick up your tickets.
Remember Date Of First Use
Some multiday Disney World tickets are valid for 14 days beyond their first date of use, while Disneyland Resort tickets last for 13 days after first usage. For instance, if you purchased a three-day ticket and first visit Disneyland on May 1, the remaining two days must be used in less than two weeks. A partially used ticket may not be transferred to another person, either, although you can give the multiday ticket to another person if you have not used it at all yet.
Keep track of your first visit date and any days visited thereafter so you won’t have to ask how many days are left or when it expires. Keep a checklist with the ticket, or email yourself the information when you purchase the ticket, as well as each time you use it.

Disney’s Magical Express Bus Ride From The Airport
Since 2005, anyone who chose to stay at a Disney resort hotel had the distinct benefit of being able to use Disney’s Magical Express, a free coach service from the airport. Millions of visitors were able to avoid paying for rental cars because Disney provided wheels instead.
On January 1, 2022, the perk ends. No reason has been announced, and neither has a replacement. So if you’re planning a Disney vacation after then, you also have to plan to rent a car or pay a transportation company for your airport transfers. Adds about $60 per day or $30$40 per person .
Is The Disney No Expiration Ticket Upgrade Worth The Cost
June 12, 2010 ~ 11 minutes read
- Prices Updated February 25, 2014
- Updated August 2, 2011 with the new upgrade policy as explained here:
What is the No Expiration Upgrade?
Adding the No Expiration upgrade to your Magic Your Way Base Ticket will allow you to return to Disney World and take advantage of any unused days on your ticket. For example, lets say you purchase a ten-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket with No Expiration and visit parks on six days. On your next trip a year later, you may use the remaining four days on your ticket. Without the No Expiration upgrade, you would need to purchase a new ticket because your old ticket would have expired 14 days from its first use.
The Way Disney Sells It
Disney describes the No Expiration upgrade on their website with the following:
Select the No Expiration Option to let the magic live forever! Our Magic Your Way Base Tickets expire 14 days from their first use. However, when you add the No Expiration Option to your ticket, youre able to come back and take advantage of unused days at any time in the future.
Relax in the knowledge that any unused days will be available for your next visit.
How Much Does It Cost?
Where Can I Purchase No Expiration Tickets?
Disney no longer sells No Expiration tickets on its website. They can only be purchased in person at Walt Disney World or through a ticket wholesaler like Undercover Tourist.

Does Disney Typically Raise Ticket Prices At Certain Times Of The Year
Disney used to raise Annual Pass prices in the fall and regular ticket prices in the spring. But the last few increases were done differently. Tickets increased the past few years in February or March. Be sure to visit our complete history of ticket increases page for a look at all price increases since 1971. There is really no accurate way of knowing when Disney will raise prices again.

Expiration Change And Upgrade Policies For Disney World Tickets
Understanding Ticket Expiration
Disneys current theme-park tickets are similar to the previous Magic Your Way tickets, but with some subtly different policies. We cover both the old and new policies below.
Upgrading and Changing Tickets
You can apply the value of an unused Disney World ticket toward the purchase of any higher-priced ticket or annual pass , subject to some restrictions. You can add days to a ticket, or add additional options , or both. Some other kinds of special tickets such as Florida Resident, DVC Member, or Military can be upgraded and some cant, and the rules for when they can be upgraded are different, but in most cases, if it can be upgraded, the upgrades will follow the rules we list below.
You may find that a Cast Member will insist that the information we give here is all wrong. Our advice is not to argue. You can ask nicely if theres a supervisor there who can help you understand it better, and sometimes that will help. If not, you can either accept what theyre offering or politely decline to do the upgrade and take the ticket to another Guest Services location or ticket window, where you may get a better answer. Remember that being polite and friendly to the Cast Member raises the likelihood of getting a better outcome.

Can I Modify Or Cancel My Disney World Tickets
Admission tickets for the Walt Disney World parks are nonrefundable and nontransferable. You cannot cancel and get a refund for your theme park tickets. Also, once you have used a ticket partially, your biometrics are linked to the ticket and only you can use it for admission to the theme parks. Meaning, you cannot give a partially used multi-day ticket to a friend or family member to use the remaining days.
If theres been a change in plans, you can modify the selected start date of your Disney World theme park tickets. Simply log in to your Disney account online or go to the My Disney Experience mobile app. Click on My Tickets and choose the Change Ticket option. Select the tickets you want to modify and click Continue. On the next screen, youll get options to change the date, the number of days, and the type of ticket. Once youve made the changes, select Check Out. Youll be prompted to pay the price difference between your previous selection and the new one, if any.

Frequently Asked Questions
Upgrading Your Walt Disney World Tickets
New or partially-used Disney Theme Park tickets can be upgraded to add extra days , Park Hopping or Park Hopper Plus or any combination of these options. Upgrades are done on a one ticket for one ticket exchange. You cannot exchange one higher price ticket for several lower price tickets, nor can you get a refund under any ticket exchange scenario. Once the transaction is made, its final.
Disney Theme Park tickets can also be upgraded to an annual pass. The only possible upgrade for a 10-day Disney Theme Park ticket is to purchase an annual pass.
Upgrading Unused Tickets: The purchase price will be applied to any higher priced ticket. As long as your Disney Theme Park ticket is unused and the cost of the new ticket exceeds that of the old one, you can purchase any other Disney Theme Park ticket or Annual Pass you choose. For any one-day ticket, such as a one-day Disney Theme Park ticket or one-day water park ticket, upgrades may only be done on the date of use. Complimentary tickets can not be upgraded. Simply take your ticket to any park or Disney Springs Guest Service window to complete the transaction. Only Disney Theme Park tickets can be upgraded. Tickets purchased prior to 1/2/05 that have not expired may still be used for park admission at no additional charge but may not be upgraded.

Non Expire Disney Tickets
My questions are:
How can i tell on the ticket if it is a non expire version?
Will i have to exchange this ticket for a newer version or will machine on the gate just let me in?
Will i be asked for any ID?
12 years old… me thinks it may be very outdated and they may charge for an upgrade to the current price levels.
Walt Disney World Resort continues to honor all unexpired theme park tickets with remaining admission days.
However, be aware that unless you purchased the No Expiration Option, theme park tickets purchased after 2004 expire 14 days after their first use. While the No Expiration Option is no longer available, if you have previously purchased theme park tickets with the No Expiration Option, your tickets will still be honored.
If your brother used these tickets, his name is associated with them.
So you would not be able to use them as you would be asked to show ID if you went to guest services.
If he used them before fingerprinting began, then you might be able to use the at a normal entrance, giving your own fingerprint. But if there is ever a problem with the ticket they will ask to see ID,
This won’t be a problem. We had tickets from 2001 which I exchanged last year.
He tells me they were not linked with the fingerprint
Ah well was worth asking
How Do I Go About Deciding What Type Of Ticket To Buy
Evaluate your travel plans and budget, and ask yourself these questions: How many days do you plan to visit the major theme parks? How much of your budget do you want to spend or can you spend on admission to the parks? Do you want just enough admissions for this trip or do you want to buy some extras and save them for your next visit? How likely/often will you visit the Water Parks? Will you be returning to Disney World within the next twelve months?
Weigh your answers to these questions carefully. And remember: what was a good deal in the past is no longer so flexible. And single-day tickets are now locked into a particular day, reducing flexibility for spontaneous visits, too.
Another factor to consider is how many days youll be visiting the parks in a full calendar year. An Annual Pass may make sense if you plan next years visit 1-2 weeks earlier so your Annual Pass is still valid, hence saving an entire trips admissions cost. Visit our break-even analysis, When Does an Annual Pass Become Cost-Effective?, for more details about deciding if an AP is right for you.
What is a Park Hopper option?
Note: When Walt Disney World reopened in July 2020, the Disney Park Pass allowed only one Park per day entry. Park Hoppers are suspended. No date has yet been given for the resumption of Park Hoppers.
But if your park touring style is to head in at rope drop and play until park closing, Park Hopper likely wont be financially worth it for you.

What You Should Do
The best way to avoid a problem is to buy your Disney World tickets well in advance and then immediately make Park Pass reservations.
Waiting will almost certainly not result in cheaper park tickets and may result in not being able to get in at all. The way things are going now as we head to summer, you should be doing this at least three months before your trip, but sometimes even farther out than that.
If you dont want to mess with learning all the ins and outs of Disney World these days, leveraging the services of a Disney Vacation planner is also a really good idea. This shouldnt add to your cost as they get a commission from Disney, but it should reduce the likelihood you make a crucial error.
While availability for Disney World Park Passes is still generally very good as long as you are looking at least 2.5 months out, there are exceptions to that guidance. For example, Oct. 1, 2021, has been sold out at the Magic Kingdom already for months as that is the parks 50th anniversary. Id expect other high-demand dates around that celebration and the holidays to also sell out extremely far in advance, so dont wait to book if you know you want to go.
Availability for the parks is seemingly dynamic, so keep checking frequently. I have seen availability open up a bit in the 24 hours or so leading up a given day, but thats probably cutting it far too close for most out-of-town guests to bank on.
