Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando isnt just The Most Magical Place on Earth. Its also the ultimate vacation destination for families. Some Of The Best Disney World Resorts For Toddlers And Small Kids
If you arent already familiar with Disney resorts, you may wonder what the differences are between the deluxe, moderate, and value resorts. We have separate guides to each of them where you can get specific details.
In general, regardless of the category of resort, you can expect to find the same family-friendly service. All of the resorts have pools, although the deluxe resorts have more elaborate pools with water slides. They all have food service as well as transportation to the theme parks.
Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort located right near Disneys Animal Kingdom theme park. Despite the proximity, you arent able to walk to the parks so youll either need to take the complimentary bus or drive.
Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge has several room options, including standard-view rooms, pool-view rooms, and savanna-view rooms as well as Disney Vacation Club suites and club-level rooms. I definitely recommend upgrading to a savanna-view room if its in your budget because its so fun and unique to have views of the animals all day long. The rooms themselves are pretty standard, with African-inspired furnishings.
There are two sections of the resort Jambo House, which is the original resort, and the newer Kidani Village, which is a Disney Vacation Club property.

Disneys Port Orleans French Quarter
On our very first family vacation with our toddler and infant, we stayed at Disneys Port Orleans French Quarter. We chose that Disney hotel for several reasons. As a moderate resort, it was in our budget, and as a smaller resort, it was very manageable with young kids. It didnt have a particularly kid-friendly theme, but our kids were so little that they didnt really notice.
Disneys Port Orleans actually has two separate sections French Quarter and Riverside. Guests of one section have access to all of the amenities at the other resort. Riverside is the larger of the two resorts and has more amenities.
We really loved Port Orleans French Quarter with little kids because its a smaller and quieter resort. It was just a short walk to the buses and food court, making it very convenient for us.
Between the two sections, youll find two food courts, bike rentals, fishing, two playgrounds, two arcades, gift shops, and several pools. Theres also the River Roost lounge and Boatwrights Dining Hall.
Room types include royal rooms , standard view rooms, river view rooms, and preferred rooms. These hotel rooms include queen beds, a bathroom, and a refrigerator.
Disneys Port Orleans resort is located in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World. Boat transportation is offered to Disney Springs, and buses are available to the four theme parks and the two water parks.

Overall Theming and Hotel Rooms
We love stepping in to Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge to start off a vacay. Hands down, it has the most spectacular lobby of any Disney Resort hotel. You feel like youre on an African adventure with amazing animal views from the savanna-facing rooms . As one of the largest pools on Disney World property, Uzima Springs offers a relaxing tropical oasis amidst the wildlife. In keeping up with the theme in all aspects, Boma – Flavors of Africa is our favorite buffet that includes both American and African dishes.
Recreating Southern charm, Disneys Port Orleans – Riverside has beautiful grounds with manicured magnolias, bayou swamps and even a working water mill. Your very own princess will surely love the theming of the Royal Guest rooms, which feature Tiana and her princess pals. Many rooms can sleep up to five adults, which makes this resort a better choice for larger families. Port Orleans – Riverside has dog-friendly accommodations, so you can include your furry friend too! The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness is the original Disney dinner show, making its debut in 1974 and do-si-doing its way into diners hearts ever since. Some Kid Appeal For Some Kids
9.Disneys Contemporary Resort was, along with the Polynesian, one of the original two resorts to open when the Magic Kingdom opened, and was intended to complement the Tomorrowland section of the park.
The hotels atrium, traversed by the monorail, can be jaw-droppingly spectacular on first view. The drama quickly fades, however, and the architectural experience reverts to its core sterile brutalism.
Bay Lake Tower, a DVC property adjacent to the Contemporary, is not so brutal, but to kids still uninteresting.
10.Disneys Caribbean Beach Resort can also be initially exotic for children, perhaps from Boston, who have never seen buildings in so many vibrant colors before. The strong scattering of beaches around the property also intrigues kids. The recently renovated pool is now as attractive to kids as any at WDW except for the Yacht and Beach Clubs. The recently redecorated rooms include strong pirate theming in Trinidad South and light Nemo theming elsewhere.
11.Disneys Coronado Springs Resort can be architecturally exotic for children with no familiarity with southwestern or Mexican architecture. Nothing is as dramatic or adventurous as the resorts listed in the first group.

Saratoga Springs Spa & Resort
This resort is inspired by the Saratoga Springs, NY but this has an old fashioned style and you wont find any horses roaming on the grounds either.
The property here is campus styled.
You will find accommodation in three bedrooms villas .
Most of these villas have fully furnished interiors with kitchens and can accommodate a family of six.
The parents can enjoy the full-service pool and spa while the kids can enjoy the water slide in that pool.
This is one of the exciting options for your family if you want to spend some memorable nights on a treehouse on your trip.
Another one of the options to consider if your family love boardwalks!
Here at the Villas, families share the amenities with the guests.
It is also a good option for tweens and teen because you get the facility of bike rentals and a cute swimming pool.
Of course, there is a boardwalk that is fully lined up with shops, restaurants and amusement parks that the kids and toddlers will love.
Your kids will love the interaction with jugglers, mimes, and musicians while the adult family members and parents can enjoy the nightlife option in the dance hall.
These are very close in all the features but the Villas are better than the Inn because they offer more amenities.
Still, both these places are excellent for family members of all ages.
You will enjoy your stay here without a doubt.
