Keep in mind that while you can choose to call Disney, you can also send them an email or utilize the chat function on the Disney website or in the My Disney Experience app to communicate with them as well.
Again, well continue to update this post as we find other useful numbers or discover more direct lines for you to call. Stay tuned for more updates!
Bonus Tip: Become A Landry’s Select Member
If one of the Landry’s Club restaurants is at the top of your list but you weren’t able to find a reservation, if you show you’re a Landry’s Select Club member you will get seated without a reservation needed! This card applies to Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom, Rainforest Café in Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs, and T-REX in Disney Springs. Since these three restaurants are all highly sought after dining experiences, this is a great way to still get a table without a reservation.
The fee to join the club is $25 dollars but that $25 goes right back on your Landry’s card and you can put that towards your meal. If you plan on eating at one of these restaurants anyways then the cost is free. Watch out for sign up bonuses too! When I joined I got a $5 bonus so that was basically like $5 off our meal. You can also call the restaurant in advance, tell them you’re a select member, and see if they’ll just give you an advance reservation. We were able to do this with T-REX and it was no hassle at all.
Keep in mind while restaurants are still managing physical distancing in restaurants due to COVID, some Landry’s Select members have reported not always getting guaranteed seating like they used to so this is something to keep in mind. This is why calling ahead might be especially beneficial right now.
What Time Do I Have To Show Up
Its important to show up in time for your dining reservations in Disney World. Disney will hold your reservation for up to 15 minutes past your original seating time.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your dining reservation will be canceled and you will be subject to a no-show fee of $10 per person. Sometimes Disney is flexible with this rule, but it depends on the restaurant.
For that reason, we encourage you to show up 10-15 minutes early for your reservation, especially if it requires you taking transportation to get there. This will ensure you have enough time and you will not be late.
The check-in process might be faster now with the new Disney Mobile Dine Check-In app which allows you to skip the host stand and go directly to your table. Well update you when we have more experience using it.

What Happened To My Dining Reservations
At this point, if you had booked Disney dining reservations prior to May, those have been canceled and you will not have them when Disney World reopens.
That doesnt mean you cant rebook those same restaurants again, however. Guests will have the opportunity to book those same restaurants again .
You will be automatically refunded for any pre-paid dining or dining experience reservations that were canceled. Your credit card will not be charged and you will not be charged a cancellation or no-show fee.
Do You Have To Make Dining Reservations For Disney World Restaurants
For most restaurants in Walt Disney World, you are not required to make a dining reservation ahead of time. However, when available, it is always best to get an advanced dining reservation for the restaurant you want to visit.
Depending on where you want to go, some restaurants are more difficult to get a table at than others. There are some restaurants that take walk-ins and are easier to pick at the last minute.
On the other hand, if you want to dine at one of the more popular restaurants in Disney World, then reservations are HIGHLY recommended and it will be extremely difficult to get in without one.
The time of year you are visiting also matters and the busier Disney World is when you visit, the more likely you will need an ADR. Just another reason to use a Disney Crowd Calendar before deciding when to visit.
Walt Disney World is not a great place for spontaneous eaters and you should familiarize yourself with how dining reservations work for the best results.

Consider Using Disney World’s Advance Planning App
Regardless of what method you use to book a table, you can normally make reservations up to 180 days in advance For more popular spots, you’d be wise to make the plans close to, if not on, 180 days out. That advice is particularly true during high-traffic seasons such as the early summer and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
You can make restaurant reservations as part of your overall Disney World vacation planning using Disney’s mobile app and/or online tools. First you’ll need to establish a My Disney Experience account. Then, you could either get the My Disney Experience mobile app and use your device to book advance dining reservations or you could go to MyDisneyExperience.com and sign in to your account to make reservations online.
Whether you use the My Disney Experience planning tools or more traditional means to make your dining plans, you should still establish an account and use the service to make advance FastPass+ ride reservations. There are many other resources available as part of the program. If it’s been awhile since you’ve last visited Disney World, and you’re not familiar with My Disney Experience, you might want to learn about the differences between the older FastPass and the newer FastPass+ programs.

Sign Up For Cancellation Notifications
There are a couple of different websites that offer free and paid cancellation notifications for Walt Disney World Dining Reservations. All of these services work the same way: you set up a date/time range for the restaurant of your choice and their automated system searches the Disney World website for any cancelled reservations. If a cancelled reservation appears, you will get a text message with a direct link to reserve your spot and an email with the same instructions.
The main difference between these options is how often the websites search because the more often they search, the easier time you will have finding a cancellation. I have personally used all three of these websites and have had the most luck with the Touring Plans and Mouse Watcher reservation finder. Touring Plans was able to get me more cancelled reservations in advance but Mouse Watcher was able to find me reservations within a week of our trip for highly sought after restaurants. I had notifications set up on all three websites for the same restaurants and sometimes I would find one would send me a notification while others didn’t.
How Many Full Service Meals Should We Plan On
Keep in mind that these dining experiences often take up a good amount of time so build eating times in to your trip. In my own experience, I only book one Disney World Advanced Dining Reservations per day, usually for lunch. This allows my family to eat a light breakfast in our hotel room.
We enjoy our fancy ADR meal at lunch time. I like to book an indoor dining location for lunch in an effort to avoid the near-daily rain storms in Orlando! Then we grab a quick service dinner whenever hunger strikes. Or if Im being honest, sometimes we just have ice cream cones for dinner!
So how can you get that Disney World Advanced Dining Reservations for the meal you really want? These are basic tips for newbies looking to grab a few ADR for their trip.

Book Ahead And Cancel If You Need To
Lets say you cant get the reservation you really want but there is another restaurant that has availability. Consider booking ahead and getting the reservation you can. You can continue to search for the ADR you want. If you cant get another reservation at least youll have something booked! If youre able to book elsewhere, then you can then easily cancel the first reservation.
Reservations may be canceled, with the deposit refunded in full, by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Each restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort has its own cancellation policy, so be sure to check your reservation. Youll want to know if the cancellation window is 48 or 24 hours before the reservation to avoid any fees.
Couldnt get the Character dining ADR you wanted? Consider at the Sunshine BreakfasTime at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. The cost is about half what youd pay at a Disney World restaurant and the best part, no ADR needed!
Which Restaurants Use Advanced Dining Reservations
The majority of dining reservations are found at table service restaurants and buffets. These are restaurants where you have a waiter for your table.
Occasionally, a quick service restaurant like Be Our Guest or a lounge such as Ogas Cantina will require them too. ADRs are not usually required in restaurants where you have to go up to the counter and order your own food.
Advanced Dining Reservations can be found in almost every area of Walt Disney World including:
- Theme Parks
- Resort Hotels
- Disney Springs
As we are currently writing this post, Walt Disney World has over 440 restaurants including special dining experiences. Over 160 of those restaurants take advanced dining reservations.
The bottom line is if Advanced Dining Reservations are available, its a good idea to get one.

Showing Up For Your Reservation
The only thing left to do once your book your ADRs is to go to the restaurant and eat!
Disney will send you a dining reservation reminder email 24 hours before your scheduled dining time. It includes your group size, time and confirmation number. You also have the chance to modify or cancel the reservation at this point.
We like to keep a list of all our Disney dining reservations for the trip just in case the emails dont go through or we forget.

Most Popular Dining Reservations At Walt Disney World
In this section well talk about the most popular advance dining reservations at Walt Disney World. These are going to be the restaurants that youll have to be prepared to book ASAP . Were not including things like packages or unique events here. These are just standard meal reservations.
Were going to break this into three groups. The first group is restaurants that you absolutely have to book as soon as possible and consists of four restaurantsVictoria & Alberts , Cinderellas Royal Table , Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White , and Be Our Guest .
Victoria & Albertsalong with Victoria & Alberts Chefs Table Dinner and Victoria & Alberts Dinner Queen Victoria Roomis the single toughest reservation to get at Walt Disney World. Not only will it fill up 180+ days in advance , but no one is cancelling a meal at Victoria & Alberts. This is something you plan a trip around.
Cinderellas Royal Table is just about the same difficulty as Victoria & Alberts. It fills up at 180+ days out, and families are very hesitant to cancel, though probably not to the same degree as Victoria & Alberts.
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is a new and well-received character dinner at Wilderness Lodge. Whether its popularity will be long-lasting is yet to be determined, but for now this is a tough one to book.

Trick #: Join A Waitlist
This one probably wont help you with the hardest most popular restaurants, but it may help you with some other dining reservations you werent able to get.
Disney recently rolled out a waitlist feature on the My Disney Experience app, allowing you the opportunity to join the walk-up waitlist and get in the restaurant if they have availability.
This likely wont help you at the more popular restaurants like Topolinos Terrace, for example, but it may help you get in somewhere.
You can check which restaurants feature the waitlist, which ones are currently full due to high demand, and even join a waitlist all on the My Disney Experience app. Click the + sign on the home screen, click check dining availability, choose your party size and todays date, and click now to see what is available.

Disney World Split Stays
If you are not sure what a split stay is, it is when you stay at two or more Disney hotels during your vacation. For example, 5 night at the Polynesian and 5 nights at Caribbean Beach.
In the case of a split stay, the 60+10 rule does NOT apply. On the 60th day from your arrival date, when are able to start making ADRs, you will only be able to book a restaurant for those first 5 days of your vacation at the Polynesian and not the last 5 at the Caribbean Beach.
Even though it would be logical to be able to book them all right away since you are staying all 10 days on Walt Disney World property, that is not the case.
In order to book the restaurant for the last 5 days at the Caribbean Beach Resort, you will have to wait until 60 days before your arrival at THAT resort. Even though we love split stays, this is one of the only downsides to doing it and is usually not a problem unless you are trying to book one of the absolute hardest-to-get reservations in Disney World.
