Come Up With A Must Do List
No matter how hard you try, you perfectly planned schedule that looks great on paper is going to get de-railed somehow. Trust me, I know. Things will take longer than you thought, or someone will suddenly become very hungry and have to eat right now, no matter what your meticulously designed itinerary says.
Thats why its smart to have a Must Do list before you go.
No matter how badly things go out of whack, at least youll have the satisfaction of knowing you did the things people really, really wanted to do.
Whether its getting your picture taken with Ariel, riding Dumbo, or eating a Mickey ice cream bar, find out what everybody is looking forward to the most and then stay focused on those things even if all else fails.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

A throwback to the Disneyland attraction that was the first to offer Audio-Animatronics, the charming show features talking birds and flowers as well as endearing, if dated songs. For about ten years, Disney tampered with the show and grafted characters from Aladdin and The Lion King onto the classic show. Fortunately, it realized its update was misguided and restored the original, nostalgic version.
- Thrill Scale : .5There is an interlude when the room turns dark, and the noise level gets a bit loud.
- Height Requirement: None
- Location: Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom
Best Rides & Attractions At Disneys Hollywood Studios
This is my pre-teen and teen grandkids favorite Disney theme park. Personally, without Toy Story Land and Frozen Ever After, Im not sure this really has enough to offer toddlers and preschoolers to be worth the visit for those with only a few days at Walt Disney World.
Like most rides and attractions for preschoolers, toddlers and grandparents, it really depends on the kids, how easily they are scared, or how adventurous the toddlers and grandparents might be.
- Toy Story Mania! Any height.
- Muppet* Vision 3D Any height.
- Lightning McQueens Racing Academy Any height.
- Frozen Ever After Any height, and the best show ever! My family still talks about this one. Both my preschooler granddaughters were absolutely amazed and glued to their seats during the entire show. Plus it has fun adult humor too.
- Beauty and the Beast Any height. Another favorite of our princess granddaughters, and Grammies too.
- Alien Swirling Saucers 32 inches.
- Slinky Dog Dash 38 inches.
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run 38 inches.
- Star Tours 40 inches.
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: 40 inches.
- Tower of Terror 40 inches. Although my pre-teen and teen grandkids love this, I feel this would be too scary for preschoolers.
- Rock n Roller Coaster 48 inches. My teen grandkids favorite coaster, best for taller preschoolers who dont scare easily.

Epcot Rides For Toddlers
Even though people dont always associate kids rides with EPCOT, there are a surprising number of rides here your little ones will enjoy. Disney has slowly been working more characters into the park, and more are on the way in the next few years.
The original mission statement for the park was to educate and entertain families and people of all ages, and while not quite as much as in the past, there are still enough rides that do that today, even for small children.
Here is a list of the Top rides for toddlers at EPCOT:
Lets look at all the EPCOT rides for small children in more detail:
Taking On Disney World With Toddlers
Pack a well-stocked toddler bag for Disney with these TravelingMom tested suggestions. Include a smaller sized rain jacket for protection against the Florida downpours. Rain parkas sold in the Disney parks dont fit toddlers very well!

What Time Of Day Is Least Busy
In most cases, the first hour after opening is the least busy on account of many families sleeping in or finishing up their breakfast reservations before heading over to the parks. Use this time to ride your favorite ride with minimal wait times.
Park attendance picks up between 10:00 am and noon, so be prepared for a huge surge of crowds if you arrive at rope drop. The parks thin out a bit more around dinner time.
Animal Exhibits And Trails
Throughout the park, youll find dozens of animal exhibits and trails where you can see all kinds of animals. The Maharajah Jungle Trek features tigers, komodo dragons, water buffalo, gibbons, and on the Gorilla Falls Expedition Falls, see and learn all about majestic gorillas.
On other trails, you can encounter tamarin monkeys, butterflies, spiders, hippopotamuses, flamingos, parrots, alligators, okapis, meerkats, and so much more.

Casey Jr Splash N Soak
Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park
While technically this is not an official ride, Casey Jr. Splash N Soak is still one of the best Magic Kingdom rides for toddlers. This whimsical splash pad allows toddlers to cool off with the circus animals from Dumbo. Bonus for the parents: theres no line to wait in!
Epcot Character Spot & Other Disney Character Experiences
Did you know that your little one can meet lots of Disney characters at Epcot? There are lots of beloved Disney characters who appear at the World Showcase Pavilions. Best Disney World Rides For Toddlers
Toddlers arent too young to enjoy the thrills and rides at Walt Disney World, and since kids under three get in free, theyre the perfect age for a theme park test run. Based on ride duration, age appropriateness, precious photo-ops and tot appeal, these are the best rides for toddlers at Disney World.
Future World Activities For Kids
Four of the attractions in Future World have interactive spaces filled with games/activities at their exits. Project Tomorrow is at the exit to Spaceship Earth and features several games/activities themed to the future. ImageWorks is another interactive space at the exit to Journey Into Imagination with Figment.
Advanced Training Lab is at the exit to Mission: SPACE . The Seas With Nemo and Friends is the name of both the ride and the attached pavilion, which houses one of the worlds largest aquariums.
Test Track also has a pavilion where you can buy a car , but also with a few car-related activities at least worth walking by. Theres also a playground near Test Track.
Within The Seas pavilion youll find Turtle Talk With Crush, which we highly recommend for kids of all ages. This is the chance for kids to talk to Crush from Finding Nemo, though smaller children will mostly just be observers.
The Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival is a great option for kids. Its an 18-minute 3D show of Disney and Pixar short films.

The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh
Location FantasylandHeight Requirement Any Height
I dont know if Ive ever met a toddler that doesnt love Winnie the Pooh and his furry friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. The honey pot vehicles are great since they hold up to 6 guests each, enough for a few kids.
The interactive queue outside is very hands-on and will keep your childs attention for the 30 minutes or so it usually takes to get through the line. Once you board the ride, your toddler will like the gentile bouncing up and down and colorful sets. It will quickly become one of your kids favorites.
The Transportation At Disney World Resorts
Yes friends. My toddlers are way more excited about zooming around the monorail, catching the skyliner and being chauffeured down main street than they are most rides.
The beg and plead to ride the monorail, talk about the skyliner non stop, and think the ferry is the coolest thing theyve ever seen. I guess its the small things!
Anyone can hop on the monorail or skyliner, so let me give you some ideas. On a magic kingdom day, you can leave magic kingdom and head to the monorail to ride the resort loop. There you can get off at any of the three resorts and check out the theming and fun there!
On a hollywood studios or epcot day, you can exit the park and head to the skyliner. I recommend the Hollywood Studios, and hop over to Art of Animation for breakfast or lunch and check out the playgrounds there!

Toddlers And Strollers At Disney
Interestingly, I heard that there are WAY less strollers at Tokyo Disney that at Disney World in Florida, suggesting that we Americans expect our kids to be less capable of walking than they actually are.
Personally, I would recommend a stroller for each child five years old and under.
Magic Kingdom is 105 acres, and Epcot is 300 acres. I do not want to discover what will happen when I tell an exhausted four year old who is on the brink of tears that we have to trek through the blazing Florida heat for another fifteen minutes just to get back to the parks entrance.
Other than their obvious purpose, strollers are also a convenient way to store the things you need to bring into the parks, like snacks, water bottles, diaper bags, etc.
Weve never used the Disney strollers, because theyre:personally dont recommend the Disney rental strollers, because they
- Fairly expensive

We Can Ride The Haunted Mansion Too
Technically toddlers can ride the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom, BUT, it is too much for most little kids.
You can I know that its all just silly fun because were older, something that a 2 or 3 year old isnt going to really understand. We attempted MNSSHP with our toddler, and lets just say that their were quite a few nightmares after that event. Skip Haunted Mansion till they are 4 or 5 and understand its a ride and not reality.

Is Magic Kingdom Good For A Two Year Old Three Year Old
Magic Kingdom is a good park for all ages. This definitely isnt true of every Disney park. While this post focuses mostly on rides, the shows and character greetings also make the park ideal for kids of all ages. If theyre old enough that the question is worth asking, they can have a great time at Magic Kingdom.
Best Magic Kingdom Disney World Toddler Rides Under 48
The iconic Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom and its Main Street are perhaps the most recognizable icons of the Disney Parks at Walt Disney World, especially to preschoolers. At least my preschool granddaughters, who are all about princesses, were captivated by the castle.
Traveling Mom Tip: Id suggest spending at least two days at the Magic Kingdom, as this is the theme park with perhaps the most preschool-age rides, so youll get more bang for your time. Also, since the Magic Kingdom offers the most rides for any height, this is one of the Disney Parks that accommodates all ages. This makes your littles who are not tall enough for most rides and grandparents who prefer more sedate rides all very happy.
If you only have one day at the Magic Kingdom, use these tips for visiting Walt Disney World in one day.
After snapping that mandatory first photo of the family in front of Cinderellas castle, we hang a left as most travelers go right! This section of the Magic Kingdom is always a favorite of our toddler grandkids and Grammie and Papa too.
