Best Disney World Theme Park

The Cabins At Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort

Top 10 Theme Parks In Florida – Disney world, Universal Orlando & more

One of Disney Worlds least-known resorts is also one of the most entertaining.

Disneys Fort Wilderness Resort has plenty of campsites and RV spots. If youre not interested in either, the cabins at Fort Wilderness are an excellent choice. Theyre almost too good in that youll want to enjoy all of the onsite activities when you may have already planned to spend all of your time at the theme parks.

The cabins sleep up to six people, with a queen bed, two bunk beds and a relatively comfortable pull-out sofa.

Just trust us on one essential expense when staying at Fort Wilderness: Golf carts. Its about $60 per day, but you should definitely rent one if you stay here and reserve far in advance since theyre known to sell out.

Fort Wilderness is spread across 700 acres, so the golf cart will come in handy and is fun even if you have nowhere to go. Whether youre heading to the Meadows Trading Post for snacks or venturing to the docks to head to Magic Kingdom, a golf cart makes Fort Wilderness an adventure.

Fort Wilderness has a nonstop list of activities you probably didnt know you could do at Disney World, including pony rides, archery, fishing, wagon rides, horse-drawn carriages and evening campfire sing-a-longs. And, when the day winds down, we look forward to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue hopefully returning.

Its biggest flagship store is called Bon Voyage! Tokyo Disney is managed by the Oriental Land Company which is makes the park sort of a franchise, independently owned and operated. Its the only resort Disney ever did this with.

Best Disney World Park For One Day: Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom was named that for a reason. The second you walk through those famous gates, youre completely immersed in the magic of Disney.

With four separately-themed lands and attractions that fit the look and feel of each, youll find yourself humming along to the ambient music and watching shows and parades from rope drop to the Cinderella Castle nighttime show. Magic Kingdom is quintessential Disney in a nutshell.

Best for: First Timers to Walt Disney World, families with children that love WDW characters, parade and live show lovers. Theres plenty of character meets and greets, too.

Which Park Should I Visit First

Choosing what Disney World park to visit first is completely subjective and depends on a variety of factors.

  • Your hotel location
  • Day of the Week
  • Special Events, Dining Reservations, & Extra Magic Hours
  • If you have never visited Walt Disney World before, we feel that the first park you should visit is Disneys Magic Kingdom. It is the original park here and definitely the most nostalgic. Even if you have been in Disney World for days, in our opinion, your vacation hasnt really started until you go to the Magic Kingdom.

Where you are staying also has a factor in what order you should visit the parks. Some guests like to do split-stays where you stay at multiple resorts during the trip and it can save time visiting the parks closest to your resort first.

If you are staying at an EPCOT-area hotel for part of the time, then it makes sense to visit EPCOT and Hollywood Studios while you are there. If you will be near the Magic Kingdom other days, then its best to go there at that time, etc.

The day of the week also can play a factor in what days you visit each park. For example, during the festival season you want to avoid EPCOT on the weekends since many locals come out and the lines can be double or triple what they are on a weekday.

Lastly, there may be a special event at one of the parks you want to go to or you might only be able to get dining reservations to a specific restaurant on certain days of the trip. In that case, plan your park days around those important events.

    Soarin Around The World

Top 10 Most Visited Amusement Parks In The World

Soarin Around the World is no doubt EPCOTs best attraction and right near the top in all of Walt Disney World. Its a flight motion simulator and takes you on a hang-gliding tour to some of the most iconic locations on planet Earth.

Yes the CGI effects are overdone, but the minor flaws that Soarin has are easily made up for by the stunning visuals and epic soundtrack. The one-of-a-kind ride system is also one of Walt Disney Imagineerings best creations. To get you further immersed into the experience, unique scents from each location are added to the scenes, making it all the more real.

The best part is the flight simulation doesnt make you sick and just about anyone can ride without any problems. It has great re-rideability and even if you do it hundreds of times, it never gets old.
