Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
2020 Standard Room Rates: $593 – $973
Polynesian, as our second choice around the monorail, comes in at the #5 spot.
Theres a lot we love about Polynesian. The dining options are good, with Ohana being a favorite for many families and Kona Cafe being our favorite breakfast spot on property. Trader Sams Grog Grotto and Trader Sams Tiki Terrace are arguably the two best spots to grab a drink at Walt Disney World.
The location along the monorail is obviously a huge selling point, though youre multiple stops away from the park either direction . Boat access to and from Magic Kingdom is another good perk.
While the theming at the resort generally is almost on par with Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge, were really not fans of the rooms.
I think its a tad harsh to call them lifeless, but its really the best word I have for how I feel about these rooms. They dont speak to me. They just seem to be minimalism gone astray. You can look for yourself and decide how you feel about them, though.
The pool is fantastic, and a far more fun and themed space than the other two pools around the monorail. If youre not depressed by the rooms, I could see the pool being enough for you to put this hotel at the top of your monorail loop list.
With an accessible location , the other big selling points for Polynesianrestaurants, bars, and resort-wide themingare accessible without booking a stay at the hotel.
The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Best for: Families, couples, extended families
On-site amenities: 2 pools, beach, spa, salon, shop, fitness facilities, bars, gourmet restaurants, casual dining
Pros: This iconic resort is close to the Magic Kingdom and is one of the most luxurious hotels in all of Walt Disney World. Staying here is highly memorable.
Cons: The hotel is sophisticated and may not be a match if you looking for something more akin to your children’s style. If you don’t plan on spending much time at the hotel, this might not be worth it since it is more expensive that most other resorts.
The most regal of all the Walt Disney World resorts, the Grand Floridian Resort reflects Victorian elegance and lavish style. As such, it’s also expensive. But despite being a luxury property, it still can cater to families, weddings, and couples looking for a romantic escape.
Inspired by the legendary Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California, this sophisticated resort features a majestic lobby, manicured grounds, a white-sand beach, a spa, and is just one stop away from the Magic Kingdom on the Monorail. The resort is also home to the award-winning Victoria & Albert’s, considered to be one of the finest dining experiences in central Florida. I am also a big fan of the relatively new Enchanted Rose, a whimsical “Beauty and the Beast” themed bar in the main building.

Best Disney Value Resorts
Value resorts can be wait for it a way to get exceptional value with Disney resort perks, close proximity to the parks and the free Magical Express Bus to and from Orlando International Airport until the end of 2021. They can also be a big disappointment.
Your mileage will vary, but if youre on a serious budget for your Disney World vacation, they should be a consideration. Prices start a little over $100 per night and go up to nearly $300 per night on peak dates. But, for most of the year, rooms typically sell for under $200 per night.

What Is A Disney Deluxe Resort
There are three main types of Disney resort hotels: value, moderate, and deluxe. Since Disney deluxe resorts are so widely varied, it can be difficult to pinpoint what separates a Disney deluxe resorts from the other types of Disney Resort hotels. That said, there seem to be three characteristics that are common across all of the Disney deluxe resorts: amazing transportation options, awesome amenities, and a higher price.
Ranking The Disney World Value Resort Hotels
To get an idea of how we ranked these resorts, know that price isnt always the deciding factor. When we look at a hotel, were factoring in everything that affects your stay. These are things such as room size, distance to the parks, the convenience of navigating the hotel, food court variety and theme. You want the best value for your money, and that value often comes in the little things.
As mentioned above, one of the big deciding factors in ranking these hotels is theming. Theming is how Disney uses a particular idea and décor to impact every detail of your stay. Its part of the intangible magic that makes Disney feel like you are millions of miles away from the “real world.” There is a theme for everyone among the Disney Value Resort hotels! If youve got a tadpole who dreams of being the next LeBron James, All-Star Sports will be your paradise. If you and your significant frogger cant get enough of the Disney classics, All-Star Movies is for you. Theming is the element that elevates staying somewhere off International Drive into a full Disney experience. Some people just want to be connected to the “magic,” and it’s the theming that provides it. Even if “theming” isnt your thing, each one of these hotels will offer you outstanding value and experience.

Best Restaurants At Your Fingertips
Many of the best restaurants at Disney World are located in the deluxe hotels. These include Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Storybook Dining at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge, and Victoria & Alberts at Grand Floridian.
Having these restaurants right at your hotel means you can schedule and early breakfast or late dinner and not have to deal with any extra transportation.
Disneys Yacht Club Resort
Just looking at the word yacht in this resort name makes it seem like an exquisite place to stay. This Disney resort is a mere 1.5 miles from Walt Disney World and also has a monorail taking you directly to the amusement park. Starting in Fall 2019, the resort will even have a gondola system taking you directing to Epcot and Disneys Hollywood Studios.
Rooms at this resort currently start at $451 and they also have private villas for larger parties. Poolside cabanas, tennis, volleyball, fishing and motorized boat rentals are just a few of the recreational activities that are available.

Our Top Choices Cheapest Disney Hotels 2022
So what is the cheapest Walt Disney World resort? If youre going by price alone, stick with one of the All-Star Resorts. Dollar-wise, its the least amount of money youll spend to stay on property.
But, maybe youre willing to pay slightly more for more amenities. In that case, what is the best value resort at Disney? With its amazing pools, we have to recommend Art of Animation.
And finally, if your budget can hold a little more money, you might not be looking for the cheapest way to stay at Disney. If thats the case, you cant go wrong with the idyllic Caribbean Beach Resort.
Best Of The Walt Disney World Resort Hotels In Orlando To Transport You To A Faraway Land

Other Disney World Moderate Hotels For Adults
Really, Gran Destino is such a stand out it is difficult to recommend another in this category However, if for some reason you really dont feel this option is for you we would suggest Disneys Caribbean Beach Resort as a second option.
The Caribbean Beach has a great theme and good dining options. The resort has been recently reimagined and with the addition of the Skyliner transportation. You also have access to all the amenities, including the swimming pool of the new Disney Riviera Resort.
Other Disney World Deluxe Hotels For Adults
Whilst strongly recommending the Beach Club and Disneys Animal Kingdom resort for adults, there are other options. However, we feel that these are the strongest contenders.
High up on the list are Disneys Contemporary Resort and Polynesian Resort.
Both have a perfect location as monorail resorts with large rooms and excellent hotel facilities.
They are also usually higher priced than Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge.
The Grand Floridian comes surprisingly last on my list right now. There are a lot of refurbishment going on and even if there werent it wouldnt be high on my list.
It is the most expensive of the Disney hotels and just doesnt offer significantly more for me in terms of room quality, location, or ambiance. It just isnt quite what it should be.
The Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort. The reason why it doesnt make our best for adults list is its location. It is a Magic Kingdom Resort but not on the monorail. This just makes everything a little less convenient, and when you are in that price range we think you need all the elements to tick the boxes.

Gran Destino Tower At Disneys Coronado Springs Resort
Disneys Coronado Springs was the definition of Moderate: an older resort with two-story buildings spread over a large property. The rooms are small, though theyve recently been renovated. The main pool has an Aztec them and a little waterslide.
Coronado Springs is one of the few remaining Moderate resorts where the only complimentary transportation to the parks is the bus network and walking isnt an option, given its distance to the parks. Its a resort geared toward the convention crowd, with large restaurants focused on quick service. But, a funny thing changed recently that landed it on this best Disney resort hotels list.
Disney World built a new tower at Coronado Springs called the Gran Destino. This hotel within a hotel has a stunning lobby and an equally snazzy lobby bar. If youre looking for a completely different perspective, let an elevator whisk you up to the 16th floor, where the rooftop Dahlia Lounge awaits along with an award-winning wine list.
Gran Destino also has the distinction of being the only Moderate resort at Disney World with a club lounge option. That amenity is still closed for now, but when it opens, its a great way to make a moderate stay feel deluxe.
The Spanish themes of the resort are evident here, with sumptuous Serrano ham and Spanish cavas. But dont worry, youll find plenty of games and books to entertain the kids while you enjoy the lounge.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort
2020 Standard Room Rates: $487 – $846
Beach Club falls into this spot sort of by default. If you dont like the look of the new Yacht Club rooms, Beach Club allows you to keep the perks of Stormalong Bay and location while reverting to an older room type.
You could just as easily swap Beach Club and Boardwalk on this list with the reasoning that the rooms arent significantly different between the two, and Beach Club has Stormalong Bay and a lower price.
Because it is part of a larger complex with Yacht Club, covered a ton above, we dont have much more to say about Beach Club. The theming is different, but this only matters for the three minutes per day youll have to spend in this building. If you really want to enjoy Yacht Clubs theming, just walk the three minutes over there.
Ample Quick Service Food
Food courts might not be for everyone, but we love them. Deluxe resorts often have limited, expensive, and sometimes downright bad quick service food options.
Yestheres a trade off. At a deluxe resort you can wake up and walk to a character meal for breakfast. Or you can have a wonderful, fancy dinner night with a firework view .
But you can always go to another hotel for a nice meal. You can go before or after you go to a nearby park. You can spend an extra $20 to Uber / Lyft / Minnie Van there.
On the flip side, weve had several stays at deluxe resorts when we get back a late hour and just needed a burger or pizza but the restaurant was closed, or had a more limited menu. If Im coming back to a place night after night following long days at the park, Im picking the place with the food court.

Disney Gran Destino Tower
This is a recent addition to the collection of Moderate Disney World Hotels. It is a new tower that was added to one of our favorite hotels Disneys Coronado Springs Resort.
It goes straight to the top as our number one choice as the best Disney World Resort for adults in the moderate category.
Here is a really excellent tour and review by our favorite Disney Bloggers Tim and Jenn Tracker. It really is worth watching if you are considering a stay in Gran Destino.
There are many good things about Gran Destino, but unfortunately, the exterior design of the building is not one of them. This seems to be the general pattern right now with Disney Hotel Resort design.
The design of the Disney Riviera Resort seems to be following a similar inexplicable thought pattern.
However, even though we are not vowed by the exterior of this moderate hotel, there are many things which are definitely very positive indeed.
Coronado Springs has always been our top choice of Disney moderate resort and we have spent a great deal of time there. However, many say it just isnt Disney enough, as it has more of a convention hotel feel.
Whilst Coronado Springs definitely does a great job of serving the convention community, it also has a lot going for it as a Disney resort. The Gran Destino Tower we believe enhances this and offers a great deal for adults staying at Disney World.
